They were both at Benfica and moved to the UK at roughly the same time. Actually I think Marco Júlio Castanheira Afonso Alves Ferreira is no longer at Leicester, so it won't be him.
-
In a strange way I don't want to see us splashing millins on players in this league. I guess I don't want the club to be viewed as a billybigballs type club.

Marco Ferreira - Leicester
-
so the other player we are interested in is Marco Ferreira at Leicester then.
-
recalled to play in the Premiership because West Ham are short. I'm not wasting my time adding that to the list I'm afraid.
-
I didn't know that. However I'm not sure sticking to the rules is a done anyway. Any player nearing the end of a contract is going to have his agent `chatting casualy' to prospective employers I'd of thought.
-
He extened his contract this summer to 2011 before going out on loan to Tranmere
-
so long as you start talking to them now sp they sit tight and wait for the free contract pay day.
-
why not, free transfers happen all the time. Its a good way of getting a player off the wage bill if there is no chance they will ever get a game.

debatable, and just as important in my opinion is that the headers he does win nearly all tend to not be won cleanly, they go five yards or straight in the air inturn becoming second balls that we have to defend. Look at the distance Jardi gets when he wins a header. Anyone else notice the number of goals we conceded last year or two in the last five minutes when the opposition played three up front and smacked it long? That is down to the simle fact that we did not win first ball enough or clean our lines. Perrys man may not score but the ball is not clearned it falls to someone else, the pressure builds and in the end a chance is served up. When teams have tried that this season they have got short change from the Jardi and Trottman. Far too many excuses are made for Perry because of his size and age. Ignore these two things and you have a center back that is slow and pretty crap in the air. What a combination. As I said earlier I like the other facits of his game and I can't dispute that he has played well on several occasions. I just want better. Better than Thomas, better than Lnacashire and better than Perry.

whilst others knew he had been a steal.

in my eyes we had the exact same player already at the club in Rasiak, so the extra wages we took on board were not neccesary (we only ever played John) and in the end helped cripple us. Add to this my opinion of John is that he is the laziest player ever to put a Saints shirt on. He was quick, honestly he was, but did he ever run, did he ****. He scored 19 goals in that season including a couple of crackers, but I'd counter that by saying that if we had a player willing to move more than 5 yards and defend from the front then we would have conceeded far less. Goals count at both ends. I'd also add that he missed ****ing countless chances. So many its not true. Funny how these are forgotten. He didn't save us.

Isn't Gaydamak owed the first installment of his £28m on the 12th? I wonder if that payment will be late as well?
-
how one earth can we see this and yet there are posters on here (who claim to have been to the games) that see something completely the opposite? I'll back my opinion of a player ahead of just about anyone on here, but even I have to look twice when I see posts like "either way he has been poor", "Not good enough for our team" and "He's useless - if he was any good he'd have looked amazing in L1. He didnt!".
-
and why we took him I will never know.
-
why would Sunderland sell KJ? Bale to Forrest talk started in the summer. They tried to get him on loan.
-
you are right, he hasn't played for the skates at all. I was confusing him with Smith who played one game for Watford then a few for the skates. Williamson played about 6 times for Watford before he moved.
-
sorry no can do due to the fact he played one game for Watford at the start of the season.
-
Wilson can. He has only played for the skates. BTWO they discovered that Basinas' legs have gone hence why he didn't get a game for Harte or now for Grant. Yebda is on loan from Benfica.
-
Thomas is average to poor in every department IMO, whilst Perry does everything well except win headers which is somewhat vital for a CB don't you think? The difference in the side when we brought two huge ball winning center back in Trottman and Jardi was massive. Big centre backs are a must in any league. Happy with Perry as cover. Happy with Thomas as right back cover.
-
Those that had seen him or had spoken to a Stoke fan about him said he was rubbish when he signed - before being widely criticised for doing so.
-
Absolutely woeful start to his career especially at Huddersfield. I thought he looked very good once Pardew worked out that he's a Frank Lamptard type of player that looks best in a free role down the middle of midfield making lots of runs into the box. He had the pace and energy to do a lot of closing down as well and in the Bristol Rovers and Gillingham (I think) games I thought he was excellent. We have missed that pace closing oponents down ever since. The call up for England cam at just the wrong time and b the time he had returned we had moed to 4-4-2 and there was no room for him. Shame.
-
weather is no worse than it was at Leeds, but I guess there is more bad stuff on the way so it kinda makes sense. Dissapointed as was looking forward to it. Hopefully it works in our favour as we can get a decent centre back in before we play Huddersfield - which we need badly.
-
attendance puts money into Franchise FC's pockets, which for some is simply offensive and a strong reason not to attend. For others the fact that its on SKY, is a second rate competition, kicks off at 7pm, is midweek, one of 50 odd games this season, and a good 2.5 hours away at depending on traffic, is bound to put them off. I'd of thought 2000 would be a decent turn out. If it was the League cup you could multiply that figure by 4 or 5.
-
not sure how we can compete with Norwich. They can match our wages - if we are looking to break even rather than rely totally on hand outs, and more importantly they look like a good bet for promotion this season.
