  1. Peter Brookes, cartoonist for The Times. Was in the paper when the deal was announced.
  2. Jarrod Bowen is the folk album.
  3. JWP on that list is the football equivalent of the token Jazz album on the Mercury Prize shortlist.
  4. Agree about looking forward to a season in the Championship is a good defence/coping mechanism. But we haven't been in danger of relegation this calendar year, and we've been safe for weeks. So never anything to worry about. Next year could very well be different.
  5. I don't think we need to be that drastic. We just need to sack Kelvin Davis.
  6. Feels like it is going to be that. To my mind thats too much red and not enough stripe. Could very easily be an Arsenal shirt. The great Saints kits generally have black trim so lets hope there is a bit of that.
  7. Do me a favour. I'll not take lessons on consistency from the most predictable teeth achingly partisan contributor on the forum. If Starmer was found to have multiple parties, pre planned non work events and lied to Parliament then yes I would react the same as I do with Boris. You of course don't give a shit because Steven Kinnock had a cup of tea once and the leader of the opposition has an agenda written out for a field visit. You can pat yourself on the back as much as you like, but you're not consistent. Powered by the likes of Guido you're just trying to wring as much "they're all the same they're all the same" whataboutery as you can manage. Boris is not an "ordinary Joe". Jesus fucking wept. Paint by numbers stuff.
  8. The Met Police weren't issuing retrospective fines before Partygate either. The Cummings thing is just the latest whataboutery bolocks now you people can no longer go on about "Starmer won't say he will resign". Now he has said he will suddenly it's all about Cummings. Who didn't resign and had the entire Shadow Cabinet defending him in a co-ordinated response saying what he did was fine. If tomorrow he comes out and says "I'll resign if I get the same type of letter as Cummings" you'll just slither on to the next demand, probably based on Steven Kinnocks cup of tea or Neil Ferguson's affair or that SNP woman on a train.
  9. The SNP have been chasing independence for a lot longer than 2007. Unless you mean the Scot Govt elections that year which created a catalyst for change. A bit like Brexit has done for Ireland. Things change, decisions have consequences. Fuck knows why I am replying to you, but there you go.
  10. Team below us win: confidence sky high, they'll win the next game now Team below us lose: they know what they need to do now, they’ll be fighting for their lives. They'll win the next game now. I'm quite looking forward to being bottom three all season next year, because the absolute cast iron faith people on here put on those teams to just win and win and win is mind blowing. It'll be great when it's us that everyone thinks is going to always win.
  11. It's funny how in your head they "remarkable things happen in sport" can easily assume that 17-defeat, 74 goals conceded Leeds getting 2 wins and a draw in 3. But no scenario sees Saints getting a single, solitary point. Is that just too remarkable for you to imagine?
  12. I apologise. I'm sure you bumped a three year old thread about a long removed Lim Dem leader for really good reason. Have you got some research from your Youtubes to share with us?
  13. Did you enjoy wanking yourself off to the parades today?
  14. Quite clever how these people can just slither from one whataboutery routine to another. All of a sudden the benchmark is now what happened to Dominic Cummings who until about four hours ago was never mentioned in relation to this story. Quite breathtaking really.
  15. Except never all of them like you think is going to happen. All the teams below us winning all the freaking time. It will be interesting next year if it is us in 18th place with 3 games to go next season. Because we can all rely on you to build up everyone's confidence by predicting that we will win every game just like you have with Burnley and Leeds this year. Because you definitely will do that won't you?
  16. Wah wah wah wah everyone else is going to win win win win win win. I can absolutely guarantee you were sat there thinking Burnley and Leeds were both going to win over the weekend. And of course they did. Oh I forgot, they both shat the bed. If we swapped places with Burnley or Leeds tomorrow there's no way on earth you would be predicting for us the kind of blistering form that you are projecting on them.
  17. Then Burnley go down. They are not all going to get 40.
  18. Liverpool can beat us 25-nil and we still won't go down.
  19. Boris must be absolutely hopping mad what with all that resigning he did. Hopping mad.
  20. A more realistic question is to assume JWP goes and we get £70m to spend. I'm not sure it that the person we want to spend that is Ralph. It's a borderline decision because I think we are probably bottom 6 again next season regardless. The squad is shit. All I know now is if we are in the relegation zone this time next year, i won't think for one second that 'if only we'd kept Ralph we'd be so much better off". Especially as that team this time next year will be Ralph's anyway (remember the first two and a half years of RH's his defenders consistently said that Ralph was working with Puel/Pellegrino/Hughes team, so any successor should expect the exact same latitude.)
  21. If we're that skint then we are relegated in both scenarios.
  22. Who is in the FA Cup final then?
  23. So the squad is a load of old shit again? Fair enough, could have sworn it was strong and balanced and deep enough earlier on in the season. Of course that was when the "told you so, we're mid table, can eighth get Europe, can't believe people doubted Ralph, proved the doubters wrong" forum victory lap was well underway. I think that's finished now, right?
  24. Yes he did okay. One pretty decent season with Kevin Davies on fire (12th) and then a bit dodgy but a wonderful great escape season with Pahars. That's all Ralph is. Okay, fine, bottom six okay. Remember there have been moments where we think he's off to Manchester United or Spurs and all that nonsense. He's not that. He's Dave Jones.
  25. Said it before. He's just the Austrian Dave Jones. That's all he is. Probably capable of getting us to 16/17th again next year.
