You'll have to show me at what point Forster is "holding the ball with both hands".
-
Here's a fucking clue lads. When it happens no one will need to come on here and post "any news?"
-
It doesn't say "evidence" it says "a sign" and it is.

Ball changed his tune on it after it all went tits at Man City - when he joined he did all the "I'd walk over hot coals for this job" stuff, the same as he did when he took over at Saints. Once it went wrong he played up the sob story of how he never felt wanted at the Dell, he didn't want to leave honest he didn't. He only went for a massive pay rise to work for his old mate Franny Lee because Guy Askham didn't return a phone call one time. Absolute horseshit. That said, the season and a half under Ball, post Branfoot will always be one of my all time favourite periods as a Saints fan. Just fantastic stuff. It's one of those magic periods where a new manager comes in and Bam the whole world changes. It was unreal. A shame it ended how it did, but to be honest it probably would have petered out anyway - as history shows he wasn't a particularly good manager anywhere else.

Let's just say one man's "he kept us up" and "he guided us to safety" is another man's "we were in the relegation mix for the entire season he was in charge and we finished 17th, staying up, just, on goal difference". It may not have been handled great but it would have been insane to keep him in post.
-
He was manager for the entire season - so it's misleading to say he came in and saved us from relegation. He took over a team that had finished 10th the season before.

I think if the Ref had given it VAR wouldn't have overturned it. And I think the ref didn't give it because it just looked like a clumsy mess so there must have been a foul. Probably more plausible in that split second than "yep, their keeper has just dropped it and backheeled it into his own net".
-
Well, today's point puts us on 21 points halfway through the season. So the good news is we don't even need to be as "good" as that in the second half of the season to stay up. Staying up is about doing just enough and I think we will do just enough.

Waiting for John McGinn to confirm.
-
If that gets refused they'll just keep licking each other to get enough positive tests to get out of Sunday. We'll end up playing them in fucking April.

Teamwork.

Put the league table up or something.
-
Keep the winning momentum going? One win in seven?
-
Shane Long is starting so that means goals goals goals.
-
They need an incredibly solid second half of the season - 25 in 19 is lower mid table form - around what Villa and Leicester are doing now. Difficult but not impossible. If they get some points from those next four they will start to believe and then just hold on and hope for a stunning end of season run. We need to hope that pressure to win these next few will be too much for a squad that is, right now, not good enough. It's really important that we beat them. Because them staying up could be at the expense of us.

A point to build on yesterday's Boxing Day win would be a fantastic result going into the Newcastle match. And at least we're not playing a team who have engineered a little Covid holiday for themselves. They're as fresh/not fresh as we are. If we can go into that game on 21 points with Newcastle still on 10 there is going to be huge pressure on Howe. And yes I do want Man U ro win today.

I felt a little bit culled Christmas night but I'm okay now 👌
-
There's lots of goals to see on tonight's Boxing Day Match of The Day, covering all the games played today, Boxing Day. Looking forward to it, a great way to round off Boxing Day.
-
As long as we don't take the lead, we'd basically win every game.
-
This.
-
Great result and a great way to enjoy Boxing Day which is today. Gave away the lead twice and still won: insane.
-
Second half feels as inevitable as a turkey sandwich on Boxing Day.
-
It's a shame so many Boxing Day games have been called off because it's always one of the highlights of the year, the Boxing Day games played today, which is Boxing Day. I love Boxing Day. Bring on today's Boxing Day games. Also we won't win. But a point would be nice.

People still take a dump on Christmas Day. Generally without friends and family surrounding you.

Feels unlikely that any Premier League club would be sold for not a lot more than one years worth of TV money.
