The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Completely exonerated. To be honest this is just the opposition playing politics while we get on with the real work of turning the country around. People want to move on from this. -

It's an appalling defence but plenty will swallow it whole. I've seen too many supportive Minister interviews where they say that Johnson is responsible for delivering the vaccines, the furlough, keeping the economy moving and so on and so on. He's totally responsible for all of that stuff but absolutely not responsible for anything happening in his own back garden and organised by his own right hand man. Try not to get hopes up but feel there's an email or a photo somewhere. -
Yes and me, Chrome on Android phone. I did the cache/cookies stuff and still there. Laptop I think okay though, although I don't use the forum much on there. Odd.

I remember one of Mark Hughes press conferences. Ward Prowse? Get him out of my sight. A good son in law yes but f**king not what you need in the trenches. Wesley Hoedt, though? Absolute mint.

If the Australians don't like the Novak ruling then they can register their displeasure at the ballot box at the next election. That's democracy etc etc.

I've heard Kelvin does it with his old gloves on.

Just seen the goal and Perraud hitting the woodwork on the YouTube highlights. On another day etc etc. On the highlights they cut to a camera shot showing how far out JWP's free kick was: at which point i said out loud "what a goal" before he'd even hit it.

Absolutely delighted Newcastle fucked up again. Couldn't beat either of Norwich or Watford (or Cambridge) at home with all of their brilliant fans and everything. Pathetic. Leeds away and then maybe a new-manager-bounce Everton at home coming up...
-
Weird that there's a transfer thread really, if that's the consensus. Maybe that thread is just everyone saying we don't need anyone.

Not sure how this could possibly be a surprise to anyone. If we want to sign him permanently then really we need him to be utter dogshit between now and May. Maybe one more goal, and a sending off for kicking a goalie in the nads.

Drip, drip, drip. -
You'd think he would want to finish the season for us at least. And Chelsea probably not looking to just flog him off to Newcastle or Tottenham, when they own him and probably getting quite a lot out of this deal at the moment. So I don't think Chelsea are going to sell him to us in January, but I also think they're not going to sell him to anyone else either.
-
Do you want him to sign an extension because he's rubbish and wouldn't get another contract at a top level club, or because you think he's good and would get a contract at another top level club? If it's the latter, maybe the player and the agent have similar thoughts? It still boils down to the idea that we can tie players down at a point when they and their agents have absolutely no concept of what their value might be. I'm sure the club (under either ownership) were/are well aware of what we can do for Salisu. We're probably better equipped now than we were two weeks ago.
-
Always love the idea that the club can step in and extend someone's contract before the dopey player and his dopey agent even realise they could get more money elsewhere. Quick club, get them to sign it now before they work out how transfers work.

Dean Smith new manager bounce going well then. Just the six defeats in a row with zero goals scored in those six. I reckon they might go be going down at this rate.
-
I'm sure if Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce had signed Burnley's Chris Wood their wonderful fanbase would be absolutely fine with it.

Quite fortunate for Boris that the Prince Andrew story has broken today as well, giving media outlets that (still) support him another story to go big on. -
I think it's nice the forum has a new club to moon and drool over. Aren't Villa just simply wonderful with their dreams and ambition and just spunking money on famous name players who were good three years ago. I always think a good guide to whether a player truly is world class can be assessed by one simple question: a) Have they just been signed by Aston Villa? The answer will tell you all you need to know.
-
In three years time Villa are just going to end up like Everton are now. Splurging left right and centre to maybe finish eighth once.
-
Absolutely.

Last match was 11th December. Mad.

Shane Long is coming on so that means goals goals goals.
-
You don't need to do that. It's on Iplayer regardless- they said on Football Focus earlier.
