I can't see Belgium doing it. They seem destined to be one of those golden generation teams packed with stars that don't win shit. At some point one of the big boys like France, Italy or Germany will crush them.
Euros do throw us more shock winners than World Cups but I suppose Belgium wouldn't be a shock like Greece or Denmark because they are too good on paper.
I don't think anyone is contesting that we have played and lost to Germany in tournament football few times. I've been following England since 86 world cup, I get it. But saying stuff like "for once, can't we play someone else" is just dopey.
Anyway, who gives a shit.
Germany feel more beatable than in previous years. If we can do them it really opens up.
You'd like to think the winner of our match is one of the semi-finalists.
Nah, I'm good. When a certified nut job tells me to go to night school to understand words and meaning then they're fair game for a bit.
I will get round to ignoring him eventually. I'd like to see his views on our full back situation or on the quality or otherwise of Michael Obafemi. He's quite quiet on that side of the forum.
I'm just glad no one talks about Leave and Remain any more.
And no one complains about the EU these days because we are completely independent and free of them.
Personally I'd forgotten all about the EU. Is it even a thing? It's a distant memory, like Sega Dreamcast or something.
100% agree. Now we've made it through the group stage without conceding a goal maybe it will stop folk on this forum from interpreting every setback or issue as justification that everything would have been perfect if only we had selected Saints players instead.
I'd call out the unfair criticism of perfectly fit players like Henderson and Maguire who some were insisting should have stayed at home. Pretty disgraceful really.
Get behind your country.
Never felt like a goer to me: contract too long and I couldn't see JWP forcing through a move to, er, Villa.
Still, if all true, it's great news.
Lord knows we need him next year.
