1) The national fanbase really will not be calling for JWP every time there is a corner. Or even a free kick. Other people can create goals and take corners FFS. 2) Imagine the absolute slaughtering Southgate would get if JWP is in the starting eleven and we get knocked out in the group stage, and he leaves Bellingham or Grealish or whoever on the bench because he decided to prioritise the best corner taker instead.
