    Coronavirus

Remind us all exactly what the plan is? And did Boris Johnson know all about it during the general election campaign of December 2019 or did he only find out about it afterwards? And why didn't they do the plan in an odd numbered year so it wouldn't impact the Olympics and the Euros?
  2. Those heady days of August (or whenever the season started I can't bloody remember) when Carlo and James Rodriguez and Calvert Lewis were on an unstoppable march to European superstardom.
  3. Exactly. He wouldn’t have become the player he is at Villa playing in cup games and as a back up to Bertrand for the last two years. Forget hindsight, was clearly the correct decision at the time.
  4. Fingers crossed all three relegated sides come straight back up for the 22-23 season because that means we get some parachute money back. So much to look forward to.
  5. Yep, this is basically where I think we're heading. We won't sack him now, but we'll just stutter on to something resembling that. When we do sack him its anyone's guess what happens then. Big Sam on standby.
  6. I agree. Going into the new season with a new manager is basically the same risk as going into the new season with Ralph again. All I can foresee at the moment is that come November Ralph will be sacked, leaving us pretty much in the same position he inherited us in three years previously.
  7. If Thomas Frank was our manager you would despise him for whatever failures you decided he had. There's only one around here with an agenda sweetheart, and its not me.
  8. Should have won the league last year and he blew it. Should have won the league this year and he blew it. That's right isn't it?
  9. Lard's usual position is win the Championship or you're a disgrace so I am unsure why he is getting himself so wet over a proven bottler.
  10. Sean Dyche has really earned his manager of the year award.
  11. Well the good news is that we were safe from relegation from January.
  12. It's times like this that we miss Shane Long.
  13. You're really not a well man, are you?
  14. Song was bland, he sang it badly, put on no show at all and he looked like a binman. We were lucky to get nil as they say.
  15. He'll be on ITV like he is for the England games.
  16. If you spend the entire season praying for the three relegated teams to come straight back up then good for you. Personally I find it rather more interesting to introduce a bit of variety to the league, considering away days etc. It's what normal people would do.
  17. Honestly couldn't give less of a fuck.
  18. Absolutely delighted that Bournemouth stay down. At least we don't get the three down > three straight back up thing, which would have been absolutely tedious. Even better here's hoping this triggers a Bournemouth financial implosion.
  19. Didn't think I ever replied to you so yes, I get it. I don't think we'll sign this Delaney guy anyway.
  20. 100%. If Fonte was still Premier League standard he wouldn't have been bombed out of West Ham United as a laughing stock. He's found his level and good for him.

Is it a picture recycled from images of the Boxing Day Tsunami?
  22. This is just garbage. I would suggest it was the far more the case that Van Dijk was used to get Hoedt to sign for us, as clearly that would be an attractive proposition for him. I am pretty sure that is something Hoedt said at the time. Basically the complete opposite of your idea.
  23. Or, just accept that you're wrong about this one.
  24. I agree with Lighthouse, of course. I still have no idea that you need to pretend there was a "genius move" around Hoedt when that wasn't even a concept at the time, no one breathing air believed he was signed to make Virgil stay. You're using it as proof of a failed idea (including posting up that link) but it wasn't an idea and no one at all thought it was.
