Have the people planning this expansion explicitly said that the objective is not a net increase in absolute flight capacity but an evening out of the flights across the nation so there are less in London and more in Southampton? If they are it sounds like either a terrible business plan or a complete lie.

So just to recap the SaintsWeb brains trust position is Qatar World Cup is bad, but complaining or protesting is a waste of time because nothing will change. Also complaining protesting about anything at all is virtue signalling by people for attention so that should stop also. But they still get to say that Qatar is bad and use that the put themselves above black players taking the knee in the ethical stakes. You could call it signalling their own virtue, if you will. I'm still trying to work out that if Gary Lineker or Naga Munchetty or other enemies of Guido Fawkes come out and say Qatar is bad will that be welcomed or scorned? I'm lying if course. I know exactly what will happen. If Lineker did nake a stand about Qatar, all that would happen is Guido and his fanbase would go into overdrive to point out that a) he drives a car with petrol made from oil b) he's been on holiday to the middle east c) he's done corporate gigs for Qatar companies etc etc etc. So complain about Qatar on here but for the love of God don't actually do or say anything tangible because that makes you a hypocrite. This is an absolutely triumphant SaintsWeb thread, a classic of the genre.

I think i remember that Leicester had a pretty ropey finish to last season as well. I think Rodgers has got a bit of a reputation of his teams tailing off. So that might work for us next week.
-
West Brom will be looking to finish third bottom now, and they will have a level of "what have we got to lose" freedom about them tomorrow. Still expecting to beat them though.
-
I believe the official SaintsWeb intelligentsia chain of events was that we lose every single game and Fulham continue their unstoppable form and then we play Fulham in mid-May, at which point they beat us (of course) overtake us and then consign us to relegation. I can only assume that is still on track to happen as some people were very sure of it only the other week.

I feel certain Ralph will absolutely not do that. Ings and Walcott have played one freaking game, why do they need to be rested. They need game time. And just dropping players to stop them getting injured is just pathetic and we won't do it. If KWP has a niggle or not 100% then maybe he won't play but the signs are he will play. But I think Ralph would be insane to do anything other than putting our best team out and try to go into the cup semi in something approaching good form.

Our Nigel doing his bit at Charlton. If he can get them into the play offs at the Skates expense, or failing that, knock em out, then happy days. Go on my son.

What Top 4 life was that then? Apart from a bit of early season flirting (much like we've had in, er, this season we're in right now) we didn't have a Top 4 life then.

Not lived in this country long, then?

The BBC will have been making, remaking and updating their Prince Phillip obituary programmes for the last twenty years. Way back I worked in newspapers and all those supplements that will be in the papers tomorrow have been ready to go for a long, long time. In some cases they get printed on the off-chance and put in storage (and then chucked in a skip if they don't die in time.) The Queen Mother one was a long time in the (re)making. Harry and Meghan's message was really odd, especially for a couple apparently media savvy and oh-so-caring.

Fulham unstoppable again I see. Any nutcases left in the "40 points won't be enough this season" brigade now?

Get ready for a few weeks where he is fashioned into some kind of "anti-woke" Royal figurehead. I think the best thing he did was invent a sport. Chariot horseracing or something.
-
We also need one on the bench and one more in the squad to be adequate cover if one of those three becomes injured.

Shorts. The shirt is really good too but the shorts were unique to that kit and just great.
-
The money is absolutely brilliant but the work can sometimes be a right pain in the backside.
-
-
Got to be next season's kit. It is objectively perfect in every way. Greatest shorts we ever wore.
-
Just had a closer look: on the Denmark one, even the fact you can see the stripes through the Draper Tools logo. It's like something out of a time capsule. Fifty five quid though, christ.
-
So, pretty realistic then. That's exactly what the hummel kits were like. I had the Denmark red and the white and "Solent Green" one and I loved then but I can still hear my parents moaning about what awful quality they were.

Just feels a bit of a stretch to me that next season will be fixture congested because of the World Cup that lands in the middle of the season after. Personally, if we end up with loads of fixtures next season - because we qualify for the Europa League after winning the cup - then I say bring it on.
-
The World Cup isn't until Winter '22 so the season won't be sandwiched by that.
-
There's definitely some gullible people around, that's for sure.
-
I don't think he'll do that. Over the medium term our form is terrible. We need to be going into the Leicester match with a team firing and settled, and winning together. The last thing we need us to just chuck matches away just to avoid injury. Far too much value has been placed on the concept of bloody "rest" on this forum. What about the concept of "match fit"? Ings, Walcott etc need to play, not rest. The WBA is a week away, the cup semi 6 days after that. No rest required.
