    Coronavirus

Who has ever, anywhere, said this?
  2. That's some pretty impressive selective quoting there: the second half of the sentence you decided to cut was the critical point, the sentence exists as a whole for you to read and digest. Try it. You have several times used the fact that Toby subsequently signed for Spurs as "proof" that Koeman was not a factor in him signing for us in the first place. As I say, stop embarrassing yourself.
  3. If this supposed "specialist" played for Burnley or Crystal Palace you wouldn't give two shits whether he was in the squad or not.
  4. Why do you keep going on about Spurs? Not one person here is saying he signed for Koeman and said he would never ever play for any other manager ever again for the rest of his career. You have absolutely embarrassed yourself on this thread, you really need to just take the defeat mate.
  5. To pretend RB Leipzig are just a normal "newly promoted team" is equally nonsense. You expecting Brentford to finish second and end up un the Champions League semis the following season?
  6. Well, this thread is insane. The Koeman appointment was amazing at the time, and the job he did was outstanding. Ralph is still hovering around Dave Jones achievement level for me. Just okay but pretty forgettable. Just no comparison.

It looks a lot cheaper than I imagined. I obviously know it is not for the likes of me but I did think it was going to look shiny and slick, with some nice whizzy graphics etc. At the moment it looks like a TV channel that has been created during week six of The Apprentice.
  8. Ha - I was just about to write something similar. I had to look him up because my assumption was it was just coincidence or he had a younger brother who played for Ajax or something. Another ex Saint at the tournament then.
  9. It was brilliant but you're right: a lot of hype for a tournament where we actually won two games (and one of those was against bloody Scotland). The 4-1 v Holland was amazing and the whole thing was a great summer. The fact that we went through the entire semi final including extra time without Venables making a single substitution is absolutely astonishing to this day. Unthinkable today: unthinkable then really. Italia 90 was better in that we were up against it and as you say Robson was hated in the press. The Platt goal especially was a fantastic moment to be a young kid watching football. I was that kid.
  10. JWP was never, ever, ever going to be picked ahead of Henderson. He couldn't get in ahead of Kalvin and Ben White. Hope that makes it clear for you.
  11. All in all really good. He got the team selection correct - Kalvin Phillips was simply excellent and Mings proved me wrong, nicely solid and he will take a lot of confidence from that. Rice solid. Well done Sterling. Kane barely broke sweat. Best tournament opening performance I can remember.
  12. Ben White and Kalvin are fit. Are you saying JWP should have been selected ahead of Harry Maguire?
  13. He'd bring a Kante level of quality to proceedings.
  14. Most teams pick their best players.
  15. I meant number 25 as in importance. Harry Kane for example being the first name down. As in he wouldn’t have started the fucking game. How about that logic.
  16. Aren't there free kicks just outside the box that occur in every single professional football match all over the world? Ward Prowse would have been squad number 25 or so. He was never, ever going to start this match.
  17. "England rue missed chances to increase goal difference amid torrid post mortem into Ward Prowse snub"
  18. Either that or Pickford spooning a clearance on a plate for Modric.
  19. They should switch to the drone aerial shots of the pitch until it is resolved.
  20. If only JWP had taken that corner we'd already be one-nil up 😪
  21. Just reconfirmed what I think right now. "This batch of players" "young talent" "this time we've got a real chance" etc etc. Heard it all before. This lot could go out in the group stage and wouldn't surprise me. Tyrone Mings and we can't even field a recognised left back in the first game of the tournament. Come on England!
  22. Funny how all those complaining about how disgraceful the BBC were seem to be able recite, chapter and verse, exactly what was broadcast. None of you thought of switching off, lads?
  23. This is from a random Twitter nothing account. "Macca" FFS.
  24. I see it wasn't quite as straightforward as "the players all agreed to play the game tonight".
  25. The TV coverage of 9/11 would have blown your mind.
