Do another one of your lists of midfielders and their goals and assists.
-
I've read some unspeakable shite on this forum but come on this is insane.
-
Look you think the solution to our problems is a veteran midfielder who couldn't hold down a place in the side for a team that finished below us in the league. And we should have stumped up 100 grand a week for the privilege of his 17 first team starts. Thank fuck you're not in charge.
-
And yet for most of the season he was on the bench. What an absolute megastar. Please take our 100k a week Adam please please please.
-
You forgot the one assist as well. Crappy old useless Nathan Redmond could only scrape together four goals and three assists so you can really see the contribution Adam Lallana really could have made.

Exactly- "ten games" is more than just ten games, it's an entire pre season, its all the outgoings and incomings, it's all the pre-season. 10 games and still in the shit is fat harder to fix than a clean break now. Especially as the 10-more-gamers will cling to "but we got a good point at the Etihad last month" or whatever happens in the new season and they'll push for another 10 games for him to "turn it round". And if the replacement is duff, it happens. But it still won't mean that sacking Ralph was the wrong call - we have a sustained period of dreadful form and performances that would typically get every manager sacked no question. To me he looks gone.

Except that is equally a Saints tinted perspective, incredibly common on this forum. The ones that see every other club as faultlessly excellent and us as terrible. (The ones that see the team in 18th as destined for guaranteed safety but ten points ahead Saints as doomed to relegation). The last manager before Hodgson took Palace to five straight defeats, which I think once Roy had took over was seven straight defeats at the start of the season. Palace could easily be in the mix if they pick the wrong manager and their rebuild goes wrong. They are incredibly similar to us. If we were in Palace's position this forum would be shitting itself.
-
Yeah, let's not be a twat about it.
-
You literally named a manager that got three more points (so this season would have finished three places higher), three fewer defeats and conceded just the twenty fewer goals in his season. So yeah, let's not say absolutely no one could do any better when we have had a season absolutely spectacular in its mediocrity.

I take more amusement from Pochettino coming second in a one horse race.
-
Not sure he failed first time at West Ham - came in to sort them out and keep them up which he did pretty effectively. I'd think he did better in the two thirds of a season he had than Ralph has done in the equivalent time this season. And Moyes was walking into a club and a team that wasn't his. He didn't get the full time gig not because he failed but because he wasn't a sexy appointment.

Remind us all exactly what the plan is? And did Boris Johnson know all about it during the general election campaign of December 2019 or did he only find out about it afterwards? And why didn't they do the plan in an odd numbered year so it wouldn't impact the Olympics and the Euros?

Those heady days of August (or whenever the season started I can't bloody remember) when Carlo and James Rodriguez and Calvert Lewis were on an unstoppable march to European superstardom.
-
Exactly. He wouldn’t have become the player he is at Villa playing in cup games and as a back up to Bertrand for the last two years. Forget hindsight, was clearly the correct decision at the time.
-
Fingers crossed all three relegated sides come straight back up for the 22-23 season because that means we get some parachute money back. So much to look forward to.
-
Yep, this is basically where I think we're heading. We won't sack him now, but we'll just stutter on to something resembling that. When we do sack him its anyone's guess what happens then. Big Sam on standby.
-
I agree. Going into the new season with a new manager is basically the same risk as going into the new season with Ralph again. All I can foresee at the moment is that come November Ralph will be sacked, leaving us pretty much in the same position he inherited us in three years previously.
-
If Thomas Frank was our manager you would despise him for whatever failures you decided he had. There's only one around here with an agenda sweetheart, and its not me.
-
Should have won the league last year and he blew it. Should have won the league this year and he blew it. That's right isn't it?
-
Lard's usual position is win the Championship or you're a disgrace so I am unsure why he is getting himself so wet over a proven bottler.
-
Sean Dyche has really earned his manager of the year award.
-
Well the good news is that we were safe from relegation from January.
-
It's times like this that we miss Shane Long.
-
You're really not a well man, are you?
-
Song was bland, he sang it badly, put on no show at all and he looked like a binman. We were lucky to get nil as they say.
