  1. These two will sort it out.
  2. It's times like this we miss Shane Long.
  3. Roasting
  4. Makes sense really. Its a pretty meaningless and inconsequential end of season mid table contest so a great opportunity to give the kids a run out, or experiment a bit.
  5. This coming from the man who in the past week is capable of shitting himself because he thinks we are getting relegated and at the same time shitting himself because he thinks our manager, the architect of that potential relegation, is going to be stolen from us by Tottenham. Utter moron.
  6. Jesus wept.
  7. The Thais are spending millions on infrastructure, millions on players and millions on a top class manager. All I said was they have more "available resource" than we have. If you're going to pretend we have exactly the same available resource as Leicester City (5 year net transfer spend £194m : source The Swiss Ramble) then knock yourself out mate.
  8. I think the main point is they have more available resource than we have. They have had on disastrous signings also - Slimani, Musa, etc - and some terrible managerial appointments. But they can weather it with owners pumping enough money in to allow them to sign players just a little bit higher in quality than us. And an excellent manager. If you think they won't ever again have a season like Spurs are having now, or we are having now or Newcastle are having now then you might be surprised. Good luck to them.
  9. You don't employ managers like Craig Shakespeare and Claude Puel without running a pretty tight ship, I can tell you.
  10. We're on 30 points with 14 games to go. We're safe. We are not going to be relegated. We barely need to win a match to stay up. I get it's exciting to engineer a bit of mild peril into the season but really it's not happening.
  11. Pleased with the point but disappointing to realise we only got that great result because of industrial scale match fixing. Really takes the shine off a decent performance. Sickening really.
  12. Come on, see this one out you bunch of absolute twats.
  13. Stuart Atwell is one of the illuminati lizard people.
  14. It's times like this that we miss Shane Long.
  15. Jesus wept.
  16. I think the main thing to do now, lads, is all let your heads drop and capitulate to defeat.
  17. I'm this close to setting up a Facebook group called "It's time to set up AFC Southampton" #pheonixclub
  18. To be honest my view is we should drop down to league one as quickly as possible, have a clear out, rebuild and start again. It's clearly the only way we're ever going to get back to European contention. Really, every single defeat will be seen as a blessing in the long run.
  19. Absolute masterpiece.
  20. I think you seemed to have missed the fact that FULHAM GOT ANOTHER POINT YESTERDAY FFS But yes us getting to 50 is far more likely than us being relegated.
  21. Anyone who is saying they don't think we are safe yet is saying that they truly believe that Ralph Hasenhuttl cannot do any better than the Pellegrino/Mark Hughes season. They don't think he can scrape together 36 points. If they do believe that, especially after two plus years in charge, then really they should be campaigning for his dismissal as his time here will ultimately be seen as a failure.
  22. Quite. All these people who have decided that there is a chance we are going to get relegated and relentless winning machine Fulham are going to stay up instead are effectively saying that Ralph is significantly weaker manager than Puel was. Puel got us solid mid table on 46 points. The "I'm not ruling out relegation" nutcases on here are saying that they don't think Ralph can even scrape 36 points in a season, ten less than our Claude. Puel's achievements and reputation grow with every passing year.
  23. It hasn't come to anything. A result of zero consequence for us. Zero.
  24. The Catalans are clamouring for it, and I've heard a certain member of the Barca executive board (who shall remain nameless) is very, very keen on it happening.
  25. The only incredible work is the hilarious in-joke on this forum that Widdrington was close to being our manager and that there was a clamour for it in the fan base etc etc. Not sure who started it but it probably won't ever entirely go away whatever we do. Much like Covid-19.
