  1. The triumphant return of Alan Pardew.
  2. Brendan Rodgers is not going to get a move to any club bigger than ours. Leicester, Newcastle, WHU, Palace, us, etc etc. He knows it. If he he doesn't go Premier League then he could get a middling European job like Moyes and Chris Coleman did. It's all about timing really, I imagine he will not leave Celtic mid-season but no way will he go into a fourth season up there. Have thought for a long time he's perfect for us.
  3. In my experience I find him incredibly insightful about the precise times when we don't want to be conceding a goal.
  4. Gazzaniga starts for Spurs this evening. True story.
  5. All in all, Mark Hughes, fu ck off.
  6. Personally I would have had Ings playing just off Ings but Hughes would never take that kind of risk.
  7. Redmond and Long up front so that can only mean goals goals goals.
  8. This. If we team him up with world class mega-coaches like Jason Dodd and Paul Williams then UEFA might as well hand us the European Cup now.
  9. Your favourite basic democratic right is to not be arsed with voting, correct?
  10. 3/10. Abject failure to beat three of the weaker teams at home. Soft start to the season and failed to get points on the board. Any optimism from the summer completely gone. There is something pretty rotten at the heart of this team. Starting to feel that relegation might be just what we deserve.
  11. Feels like a relegation season to me.
  12. "Don't write off young players because Harry Kane" is the new "don't sack the manager because Alex Ferguson".
  13. Burnley now bottom of the league. At least their fans can take comfort. The standard rules of the football Momentum Curve, spoken about at length by real experts on here, mean that they are guaranteed to finish safely mid-table. Now, I'm no expert but Championship promotion, 16th, then 7th is pretty powerful momentum so they will be absolutely fine.
  14. Anyone concerned about my streaming welfare can rest easy for now. The Limitless people came back to me so am on them through Perfect Player and it looks like it's fine. Couldn't get it to work on Kodi though.
  15. https://twitter.com/Labour_Rebecca/status/1040995666888155136?s=19 I remember this kind of thing was happening, like, ten times a week before Jeremy came along and stamped out all the anti-semitism. Brilliant stuff, dear leader.
  16. Yeah. Locked out!
  17. Yes, that's the case. It's the third party "resellers" thing that seems to have become the way it's done since last season and it now looks more trouble than it's worth, just all these odd accounts on twitter, most look dodgy as fu ck. I'm not going to start sending Twitter DMs to faceless #IPTV accounts just to watch the odd SFC match while I cook dinner on a Saturday afternoon. The thing I signed up to (Limitless) just took my money (only $5 or whatever for a month) and then nothing "processing" for a fortnight and no response to my queries so fu ck that. Unless anyone has a solid gold suggestion then I would appreciate it but I have lost energy for it.
  18. I've heard rumours, only rumours mind, that there are fans from every other club on earth that slag off their own players too. So that helps our team whenever we play one of those other teams. Phew.
  19. I let my account lapse as I do during summer and I can't get into my account anymore, and they don't seem to be taking new orders. On social media this is definitely a thing so not just me. You may well be fine as long as you have a live account but yeah, could be a short lived thing. Got to say the whole streaming thing is becoming more trouble than it's worth now, and I do wonder who I am actually giving money to. I've only ever used it for occasional Saints matches so if I end up with Adam and Dave I'll live.
  20. We did pretty well in the world cup and the team is really quite young. It's not like we've got some squad of dead wood or a flurry of retirements. McCarthy gets a call up and people think he should just stroll in and get a cap. Maybe he's been called up to see how he fits in with the group, how he trains, expose him to international duty. Just that. He's never going to be anything more than a back up keeper FFS, the way this thread reads he's some mega talent that the nation needs to see on the pitch. Be was lucky to get a call up, and he's had his experience, for now.
  21. Indeed. The general public really don't give a flying flid for a European Super League. Sky have realised this when the sky didn't fall in when they lost the CL rights. Fans in the UK want to watch the Premier League. On free to air about 3-4 million watch MOTD, while far less than a million ever watch the ITV Champions League coverage. It will never really engage people - and that counts for all the big nations. Leeds vs Newcastle in the Premier League would always be more of an attractive TV proposition in the UK than Ajax vs Milan.
  22. Which is who?
  23. He's open minded and everything.
  24. Why did they fix it for us to finish sixth but also fix it for us to finish seventeenth two years later?
  25. Let's give it three, and then five years and we'll see where Wolves and Fulham are. No doubt, what with them having a clear plan and ambitions and everything they will both finish top ten this year and then just build and invest and grow and finish higher then build and invest and grow and finish higher again then build and invest and grow and finish higher then build and invest and grow and finish higher again. Then build, invest and grow and finish higher. And then after that, build and invest and grow and finish higher then build and invest and grow and finish higher again. Must be brilliant to be a Wolves and Fulham fan right now, safe in the knowledge that their club will never have a bad season ever again. I mean, if you're a 15 year old Fulham fan that's about fifty non stop seasons of success to look forward to. Brilliant.
