  1. We're not going to sign Defoe in a million years, so dry your eyes chaps.
  2. Right you are, sweetheart.
  3. Stoke were definitely interested in Redmond and no doubt would have paid similar. The player basically had the choice between us and them. Less concrete but this article chucks in WHU and Palace as potential clubs too. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3648594/Stoke-City-steal-march-managerless-Southampton-race-Nathan-Redmond.html
  4. Leicester did not have a policy to win the league.
  5. We need him now.
  6. This time last year you were predicting that we would only win one more game in the season, meaning Newcastle would overtake us and we would be relegated because 40 points wouldn't be enough to stay up, as it was one of those seasons where 40 wouldn't be enough to stay up. In fairness, you were only spectacularly wrong about every single thing you said then, but clearly you know much better this time round. How buggered are we going to be? Do you think we can scrape a draw or two before mid-May?
  7. Does this result mean Saints are good or sh it now, I can't keep up.

Eddie Howe is nothing more than Alan Curbishley for the Snapchat generation.
  9. We're not going to sell him now. In the summer, yes, but not now.
  10. Wincing as I read this effort. You'll never get snapped up to the wind-up merchant big five with dross like that. All over the place. 0.5/10.
  11. That website randomly generates the exact same stories just changing the name of the club, the manager and the player. It's like the football rumour equivalent of those personalised story books you can get for your children.
  12. 100% correct but it won't go down well in these parts. Well done for trying though.

Since we're in a big five league (England, Germany, Spain etc). Did you not actually look at the list?
  14. A Happy Clapper seems to defined as someone who dares to think that being in our first major cup semi final for nigh-on a decade and a half is quite a good thing, actually. That's what "happy clappers" think. Garry Monk sacked by Swansea last December with the club in 15th having been beaten 3-0 at home, 3 wins at that point and one win in 11 league matches preceding his sacking. But no doubt Saints fans would be dancing in the streets if he was appointed and no doubt give the whole city a lift, what with him being such a Southampton legend with all those ten games he played for us. Happy Clapper me right up if that's what I'm up against.
  15. How is being in a semi final of a major competition "our enemy"? Some people are effing mental. Mental.
  16. Thank Christ you have no influence on the decision making at the club.
  17. Why do we need to be "primed" for Eric Black's departure? If they announced it in the next five minutes no fan would give a flying fu ck.
  18. Once we start pouring forward and get all incisive and gung-ho on their asses it will be goals goals goals.
  19. My only ambition is to be the greatest SFC wind-up merchant the Internet has ever known but I know I will never achieve that ambition.
  20. But he's available for £13m honestly he is. He's available for £13m. This forum said so.
  21. The "point" is supporting the club is an end in itself. Its where I was born, its sonething I share wirh my brothers and my late Dad. Its a fundemental part of who I am. I couldn't give a flying fu ck if we don't ever win the league, and quite frankly if we end up in the Championship then that's fine too, it doesn't change how I feel about the club. As it stands we are being run in exactly, precisely, how I want it to be run so it's all gravy for me. The club is in superb shape as far as I'm concerned. I'd like us to win a trophy and from where I'm sitting we've are in an excellent position to win one, one day. If, to you, that is pointless then crack on and support that nice Manchester City.
  22. I approve of this message. We should do this - genuine links to our past and at least would make us unique versus the Stokederlands of this world.
  23. You have to accept that for some the pain of the departure of Poch and the Italian will never heal. We finished eighth but it was, like, the bestest eighth place ever ever and Danny Fox and everything. The pain is still raw for some so you need to take account of their fragility. Tonight thank God it's them, instead of you. #prayfortheCoC
  24. Tell me about it. I've already booked the light aircraft for the stadium fly-past. Having a manager with a four-letter name don't half save money on the trailling banner.
  25. We're almost certainly not going to finish sixth this season, but neither is any of the other clubs at our level. Get used to it.
