Stop ruining it.

We're not arguing though, we're agreeing. You think our current ticket pricing is sensible and that's just great.
-
Looks good to me. Where's that O thing with a line on my phone keyboard? ò ő œ

But at current prices we don't have maximised demand or a season ticket waiting list, and I thought people were saying high prices was the cause of that. So to be absolutely clear here your idea is to expand the ground but there will be no reduction at all in ticket prices. That's going to upset quite a lot of people that argue for stadium expansion because making tickets more affordable to more people is often a massive part of their argument. But you didn't say that so I apologise. Expansion but no reduction in prices at all. Clear.

I've been in that pub and the bloke running it hadn't got an effing clue. I keep telling him that if he sold all his beer at fifty pence a pint he'd be packed out every night, make loads of money, sell loads more peanuts and also be building for new generation of drinkers to come back again and again forever. Plus he's got like a huge catchment area as well or something. Build an extension into the car park I keep telling him. He's not having it. Small minded.

I am thinking of a club who, last summer, signed a nondescript full back on a free transfer. Obviously this club had absolutely no ambition at all and we would never want to be anything like them. Who could I be thinking of.
-
It is not a fact.

2.1/10.

If we need additional seats why do we need to reduce prices (I'm assuming this is what you mean by "be sensible")? And if we are reducing prices why would that create "more match day revenue"?
-
You're quite right. Leadsom, Louise Mensch, fat Penny Mourdant and lots of people on social media ae getting hysterical about a newspaper reporting exactly what someone said in a recorded interview. They should stop getting excited.
-
I'm worried the Conservative party might not be for you. Have you considered the Socialist Workers?
-
I can only begin to imagine how much that disgusted you, Nick Clegg.
-
I can see the blue rinse golf glub brigade voting Leadsom in all day long. They lapped up IDS who was nearly Corbyn levels of appalling as a leader. Everything Leadsom says is tailored perfectly to her audience and she will blow that dog whistle all summer. Just when you think it couldn't get more depressing.
-
We did build it and they have come in numbers matched almost perfectly to the size of the stadium and demand for season tickets.
-
This is a false argument. if the TV money goes ti ts up then that will be because interest in the league will have collapsed so attendances and demand for tickets will then be down. Having a stadium fit for purpose then is advantage, not being burdened with a huge capacity mega dome we can't fill because all the big name players have buggered off to Spain or China or the USA.

Project fear talking down our great country etc etc etc.

I thought the reports said that Puel wasn't interested in him. Obviously that doesn't fit the meltdown narrative. And, just checked, it's still 9th July.
-
It's not a mega political storm. But it throws doubt on this woman's ability to deal with the job she's applying for. Not that difficult to navigate around that line of questioning. She seems to be a bit of a serial fibber too.
-
In the summer of meltdown we signed Mane out of nowhere on deadline day, and also Toby the same day despite Koeman saying repeatedly we weren't after any additional defenders. We're building a Europa League squad, we'll get it done. AOC would be nice but feels unlikely.
-
I've read that Telegraph piece and it does not say that Redmond is our Mane replacement, it is just a sentence summary of our main business so far. It specifically says Austin is the Pelle replacement (which was very obvious to some of us in January) but does not do that with Redmond.

The Leadsom transcript is up from the journalist on Twitter and she said it. Dopey cow.

While you are absolutely right, the challenge will be on what are they actually voting on and when. If the vote is on May coming back from Brussels with - say - we're in the single market but it's going to cost us £150m a week and it's free movement - then it ain't yer Ken Clarke voting it down you've got to worry about, it's your mates IDS, Carswell, Hoey and Denis Skinner. Then what.

“I think when we go through a full season with 100 per cent occupancy then you can have those conversations,” he [Krueger] said. Not blathering on about restaurant chains or Germany or slashing prices or merchandise sales or think-of-the-children-what-can't-afford-it or speculate to accumulate or big thinking or any of the usual boll ocks that comes out. Season ticket waiting list. Full occupancy. Then it's probably a maybe. But the likelihood it we won't get to that. We make more money and generate more absolute attendance by sticking in three more guaranteed home games by qualifying for Europa. That should be the focus, not horsesh it money pit vanity projects. Anyway, I imagine all of this rubbish will be removed from this thread which I believe is here for me to point and laugh at hysterical lunatics crying about lack of signings before Wimbledon has even finished.

Mane was signed out of nowhere on deadline day at the end of meltdown summer. Barely a link before.
