I can't see any upset from The Kraken whatsoever. I see The Kraken answer the question you asked and you left with no where to go apart from the old "you're getting worked up" routine. Kinda makes me wonder why you're getting so worked up about this topic. Why are you so upset?

It's a funny one. If we have three players to sell to top 6/CL clubs for £10-30m every season for a decade then that virtually guarantees us as a top half club for that time. If that makes sense.

Why is their second place finish "a flukey one-off"? They aren't the power they once we're but their average finish over a decade is still 4-5th, something we are unlikely to ever get close to. I will be forever perplexed how fans of a club who were celebrating their first 7th placed finish for a quarter of a century can be dismissing other clubs league positions as a "flukey one off"

I like it when SarniaSaint makes out he's the helpless victim, earnestly bringing facts forward and trying to have a debate in good faith but being thwarted by horrible people stating opinion as fact and shooting him down. Interesting news about this Ian Cathro chap, just appointed as McClaren's assistant at Newcastle. Fair to say until five minutes ago I'd never heard of him but looks like he's had a pretty decent career trajectory up to now. A 28 year old Scot who has been already an assistant in Portugal club football and then at Valencia, who finished fourth this year. Impressive.

The fact he decided to correct someone else for saying Liverpool had finished second last year is the main issue. Didn't need correcting. Anyway, MLG always good value. No harm done.

In fairness no one normal thinks the season that finished in May 2014 is "two seasons" ago. If this was an even numbered year we'd still be in World Cup/Euros time. No one's even played a bloody friendly.

Well, it's disappointing but at the end of the day he is joining a club that finished second only one year ago. We all need to pray that Cedric proves to be an excellent replacement.
