  1. The only question mark for me is whether our manager can get him firing again.
  2. Box of frogs.
  3. Possibly a reference to his unflappable playing style. Or, Jos has burnt a hole in Olly's settee.
  4. Sounds like one of those players who would struggle in League 1 but would be brilliant in a league where you get loads more time and space on the ball, like the Premier League.
  5. No we're not. Les and RK has said they want us to be the best team outside of the biggest spending teams. I'd say there are six of them, so 6th/7th is the "weight" we aspire to. In reality our "weight" is about top 14-8. Doesn't mean we aren't striving for fourth, of course we are, but it does mean we won't be pis sing money away chasing it. If it happens it will happen because of excellent execution of the plan. Like, hopefully, this season.
  6. Ah okay. I suppose it can't make the whole thing any more lame than it already is. Go Nicola!
  7. I agree but I am guessing it will be Salmond (standing for Westminster) rather than Sturgeon in the debates. Both are pointless participants but Sturgeon would be even more pointless. Not seen if that's been confirmed though.
  8. Just a roundabout way for Skate fans to talk about how this division is beneath them, what with them being so massive and stuff. Their giganticness is holding them back and piling on the pressure on the current helpless players weighed down with the magnitude of playing for one of world football's bestest biggestest and most magnificentest clubs.
  9. This. In that interview Lallana only said that if he spent the rest of his career at SFC he'd be happy. Doesn't actually mean that was the only scenario where he could be happy. Like, say, Jason Dodd, if no big moves materialised he would have happily stayed. He didn't handle his departure particularly well in the summer, but I think the spirit of that interview back then was perfectly genuine.
  10. Yes. Doesn't mean the draw would have turned out the same of course. Butterfly's wings and all that.
  11. BBC person was asked this the other day and said it was because of a different political landscape in Norn Iron - ie those parties tend to compete directly with each other rather than against the Tories or Labour. That's the reason given, not my view. My view is the seven party debates will be a total dogs dinner. Mission accomplished David Cameron.
  12. If you're going to attempt to pick me up over something I've written on here, at least get the quote right.
  13. Waddock would be an annoyingly good appointment. Perfectly capable of taking them into the play offs next season, you'd think.

    Bitter Lake

New Adam Curtis documentary on BBC iPlayer right now. If you have two hours to spare, strap in. A dead body and a clip of the Afghan version of the 'Thick Of It' ten minutes in. American soldiers gloating about killing Afghanis. And trippy as f uck.
  15. Wah wah waaah stop bullying me.
  16. Three years on and you still think it was about Man United's chances of relegation. Fair play, you can't help being so pitifully thick. And me asking why Liverpool and Man City aren't challenging your "patently unjust" system is puerile is it? Give over. Just too gutless to formulate an answer. Whenever you're ready sweetheart. I know this is jolly boring for others on this forum but that's drippy Les bringing up very very old battles he lost at the time.
  17. Hahaha. Three years ago. That's all you've got and completely misquoted arse about face anyway. How about two weeks ago - Have you plucked up the courage to answer my question about your campaign against the "patently unjust" away allocations yet? Whenever you're ready chick-chick chicken. Cluck cluck cluck cluck.
  18. I remember Micky Evans very well. We've moved on from Micky Evans.
  19. Remind us of what position in the league Micky Evans catapulted us to.
  20. The "Get behind the ..... FFS" stuff was quite funny as running gags go. We will walk this league.
  21. Ours was a surprise, a smallish one. The City and Chelsea results were shocks. Do you not understand how there are weeny little differences between those matches and ours? Is your level of perspective really that weak?
  22. Why are you asking me? Ask all the news agencies and the MOTD production team. Southampton knocked out of cup is not news. Get over it.
  23. Don't be so sure. Clyne is unlikely to turn down a four year contract at, say, Man United just because we've finished fourth once.
  24. Oh dear. Time for Lord Duckhunter to have yet another scrape in his "ah yes, but this person vaguely connected with Labour said THIS" barrel. Come on, Lord D, bring out another one.
  25. It's a good point. Especially as our game is one of the "top 3 out of the cup" huge sporting news story that the whole nation has been talking about. Weird it is so far down the running order.
