They did the "difficult" bit by beating Ipswich (which also helped us) and then proceed to lose two on the spin, so they are basically worse off now then they were before they played them. Pretty tough fixtures though. I think an important lesson for us - say when we hit second next month, we need to work even harder to stay there.

In the last four Ipswich have dropped nine points (3 draws and a defeat) while we won all four. So yes, an excellent two weeks. Surely Ipswich's traditional rivals will just let us win on Monday, for the East Anglian giggles.

In summary you searched and searched and searched couldn't find me saying he should be sacked. He was and is employed to get us promoted, this season. Four dreadful defeats in September did not suggest that was likely, and even now automatic promotion is a reasonable distance away.

Except you've just told us you support whatever the club deem is right, so you would have supported sacking Martin if the club deemed it to be the right thing to do. Just like you defended Jones because the club told you to, and now defend his sacking because, er, the club told you to. Go you, such a free thinker. Pretty certain I never called for Martin to be sacked, but his job was (and is) instant promotion back to the Premier League. That's what is expected of him.
