We're clear of relegation now, unless you seriously think we are incapable of gleaning 16 points from our next 27 games. And personally would have taken a petering out if it meant we had our second major trophy of the modern era. Oh well.

A cast iron guarantee of never being booed, or seeing fans walking out. What an opportunity for the lad.

Spurs sniffing around Fonte? Source?
-
Whereas what you wanted him to say was just because AL had one good game he is now the first man on the plane for Rio? Adam is an outsider for the squad. That's true. I don't understand where we get these forum contributors from.

Sorry, Tim Vickery has been written off as a clueless idiot by this forum when he refused to accept the official SWF position that Gaston was the second coming of Pele after we signed him. There was a thread kinda like this one about it IIRC.

Got to say that is a riveting post from you. Well done, as always. I think you are not familiar with the "crazy quest" non fiction genre pioneered by the likes of Gorman, Hawks and Wallace. Can't say I am a massive fan but at I get the concept. But I am thoroughly enjoying your high court judge-style "well why didn't he just look in yellow pages" literal approach to it all. But yeah, I'm boring. Hats off.

There's no hysterics from me mush. Lord D "He doesn't deserve a book as much as our autograph people" Waaah. He's written a book, not been given one. The old women are the berks desperately scouring the internet for anything vaguely connected to Pompey to get upset about. LOL.
-
Let's file that one under "let's get upset about this because there is the tiniest connection to Portsmouth", then. As far as Dave Gorman style quest books go, it sounds like a nice concept. The cultural history of the football sticker book is a rich enough seam to mine. If he was a Grimsby fan I suggest there would be slightly less outrage on here.

Big Cleverley fan, eh? Don't really see it personally.
-
No he wasn't and no he wasn't.

He spent more than that for a start (£2m on Quashie etc) but not to excess, because we had a Chairman that wouldn't let him do his usual and he hated it. We "ended up" where we did because of Wilde/Burley spendng all the family silver on a tilt at promotion that we blew. And our response to being skint was Poortvliet. Apart from getting us relegated of course (when we should never have gone down) we can't blame HR for all our subsequent ills.

Martin Allen as head coach. The lads need a bit of passion.

95% of the new revenue will come from selling plain red shirts to the Orientals. Oh, they love a red shirt them Orientals.

Jesus. I think this is voices in your head. Keep clutching Strawlock.
-
Absolutely no idea what this post is supposed to mean, Strawlock.

They probably haven't got over that miserable "hollow" feeling they had from winning a major trophy.
-
I, for one, am looking forward to a rimming from The Guardian shortly.

Tories try to delete pre-election pledges from the Internet
CB Fry replied to pap's topic in The Lounge
Difficult to control, dem conspiracies, aint they? Computer weekly clearly not at the "listen chaps, let's all, like, cover it up" meeting. Presumably the editor of Computer Weekly will be found dead in a field in a few weeks time. Or a staged heart attack/fall over in Scottish highlands fake death scenario. The delightfully silly C4 comedy Toast of London did a nice bit on films funded by Egyptians with a grudge against the Duke of Edinburgh only last week. I'd class that show as one of many British comedies that I personally think is better than the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. -

Anyway, it's great that the press have exposed it and not conspired with governmemt to cover it all up, which is what some nutcases think happens all the time. Well done The New Statesman (I am attempting to delete all references to me getting the name of the news source wrong). -
Watercress would be the greens of choice, I'd suggest. Keep it local.
-
Ah, yes. The old spread bet of having no real opinion while at the same time desperate to say "I told you so". Exceptional stuff, Nick.
-
The phrase was "current squad [April 2013] realistic aim 6th - 8th" was it not? Why on earth is he so determined to keep digging up his own idiocy?
-
Personally I'd like to see J-Rod starting alongside Rooney. I want to see him in something resembling a 'real' England team.
-
What a preposterous man he is. Suddenly Michael Owen, David Beckham and Paul Scholes represent "mercurial" talent that other England managers wouldn't have picked? Yeah, of course. Well, at least Hoddle makes himself easy to despise. It really takes very little effort to hate the man.

The media have been desperate for us to fail and now they have their story. The backlash begins today. They hate us. They hate us. They hate us.
