Looks like The9 is joining in with the "making up facts about Sturrock" epidemic he was so critical of merely days ago. Great stuff.

Off to Wembley for the JPT. Hats off to the man, he is astonishingly good at what he does and has been a succes at every club he's been at in the bottom two divisions. Don't know how he does it but he does. When you look at the nauseating media w a nkathon over Di Canio like he is the second coming...wow, Paulo. One whole promotion from the bottom tier. Luggy has done that. And done it again and again at L1 and 2 level. Add to that he isn't that well makes it even nicer to see him getting a day out at Wembley this season.

Since when was the dispute about the going rate for corporate entertaining? Its about a few things but that isn't actually one of them.
-
Yes, but where is the evidence? There you go, Cultomaniacs, I've saved you the bother of typing it.
-
They're only in the Champions League and top four (FFS) because of Wenger. Thats why they are a big club "by modern standards" (FFS) and Everton aren't. If they'd stuck with, say, Bruce Rioch, they could now be just another middling Spurs, Villa, Everton or even worse Leeds, who won the league more recently than the pre-Arsene Arsenal.

Who exactly are these people please? I venture to suggest they are nothing but a figment of your imagination.

National treasure. Excellent actor. RIP.

And also getting paid by the club. So they are not "ex-players" as such, but current employees.
-
Good. So Cortese is not the club. We agree on that then. Pass the message on.
-
Quite right. One runs the risk of "damaging the club" - inherent in the process of making "bold decisions" - and one doesn't. At all. Glad we agree.
-
I was specifically thinking about Adkins. We're talking about PR here, and Adkins sacking made us look terrible. You call it a "bold move" now, and it may all work out lovely but in those few days we looked like a bunck of co cks. That is a fact. We were questioned and criticised and laughed at and done down. That happened. ...which if you reply to this I am sure you wil brush aside with a brisk "well who cares what those people think". Fine. Don't care then. No problem. But you can't then grizzle about ex-players supposedly "harming the club" with far more low profile, barely noticed comments. Either you are bothered about how we are perceived, or you're not. Make your mind up.
-
Correct. MLT says stuff about chairman: loads of grizzling about how it "damages the club". Chairman actually does things to make us look like a terrible club: "who cares what people say about us as long as we're winning". Couldn't make it up.
-
No they don't damage the club.
-
Funny that. In fact I can't remember a single thing he's said or done to "damage the club" despite all the grizzling on here. Not a word. But then I'm not the kind of spacker who has decided they support a chief executive rather than a sports team. A pity this forum is crawling with them.

Do you mean we might quickly find ourselves back in League One?

I reckon if we score more goals than Newcastle next week we'll win the match. -
I am. Its the Mirror and they, like, always lie.
-
The Mirror make up unsubstantiated lies. Like Adkins being sacked and replaced with some foreigner.
-
Loving the notion that players are now jumping ship from the world's richest league to the NPower Championship "for the money". Astounding stuff from, err, Captain Sensible.

Good skills re boobage. Never mind Bear. You're just another victim of my supreme debating abilities. I'm like a god at it.

....and the old "we've got open minds" routine. Seriously, how much of an "open mind" do you need to believe in a football club aspiring for the Champions League? The answer is not much of an open mind. It really, really isn't a difficult thing to envisage chaps, so stop congratulating yourselves. Laughable. PS. I have some historical events which may be relevent for you. Manchester bidding for the 2000 and 1996 Olympics. Betamax becoming the dominant Video format. Leeds United bidding for English and European Football dominance in the 2000s.

The old "you're all short sighted" routine. Nice to see that wheeled out.
