Rickie Lambert you are a hero. My sister Julie, looking down from her new spot in heaven, will be grinning. Thank you Saints!

Please win today boys, for my sister, a 20 year supporter / Kingsland season ticket holder who died from cancer last week. Funeral is on Tues and the wake is at St Marys, so it would be great if we can get a win today.

Managers, coaches, agents yes, you are right of course. The overwhelming majority of fans, commentators, press, websites, TV shows etc etc will be notice diddly squat cos the Premiership is all that counts. -

Bloody brilliant. Massive smile on my face. Even my "not a clue about footy" missus said Wow -
Cant blame you for not wanting Puncheon / wanting to keep Gorkss, but I am pretty sure that the minimum TV / PL money your owners will get this year is £32m, and thats if you finish last. Which you might do if you dont strengthen more, with all due respect. Cheers

When did Saint last win on the opening day?
Bucks Saint replied to Cheam Saint's topic in The Saints
Away to Cov 1999. Egil O scored late on. Was there, crazy crazy afterwards! -
Spot on. Skacel and Rasiak were scoring / playing very well when Burley dropped them / loaned them out

Surprised not to see hot dog plastic wrapper sponsorship on offer. One for a gym, or maybe Boots? -
Totally this

Yes but is that another day gone now, since you posted? Geeez. I was relaxed with 57 days, but now only 56 left? Adkins out FFS

Like any enterprise that is on the up, we should open another branch. Preferably much closer to my house so that I can get to more home games
-
did you see Obertan against us? No thanks
-
My answer should be taken in the context of the fact that I absolutely detest Reading. Cant quite explain why - arrogance beyond belief when I was walking to the game at their place in our Championship relegation season and some woman was complaining out loud "Why have so many [4k] bothered to come along, and why are they singing so much, they are bottom and we are going to beat them of course" perhaps? Billy big game fans who turned out in their thousands yesterday - of course, so would we - but did you see how many empty seats they had for the home semi? So glad they stayed down and we can go there again next season. Bring it on Back to the question: no, none.

agreed, thanks

The difference, for me, is that I used to seriously look forward to playing Arsenal, Chelski, Liverpool, Spurs (hated them for years) and Utd in a way that I never quite could - to the same extent - about playing Norwich, Cardiff, Forest, and whoever else is in the top 10 of the Championship. Beating the big boys gives a warm glow that lasts for years, literally! And as for "most clubs in the PL", Brum won the Carling Cup and got into Europe (ok they messed up in the league); Stoke got to the FA Cup final; Fulham got to the Europa Final the year before. Plenty to play for, bring it on

Not a dream as such but a slight recurring nightmare... Relates to the game at the Dell when we were 0-1 down to Newcastle with two minutes to go, but won 3-1 courtesy of Watson, Shipperley & Heaney I think. Celebrated so much under the East Stand I bashed my head open on the stand itself, but did not realise until in the pub later on that I was dizzy due to loss of blood. Worth it though
-
Brum is ok - not great but ok

Very harsh IMHO. No club has ever been treated as bad as Wimbledon, but Luton came close. Whole new regime there, trying to run the club the right way and thought they were doing the honest thng by volunteering information to the League about the previous regime's rule breaking. Got battered with a -30 points deduction for their trouble. I was at the JPT final in 2009 (luton v scunny) when Malwhinney met the players. Never heard such genuine hate for one man at a match before and it was 100% justified, as all Saints fans know too.

FFS are you being obtuse for the sake of it? When I said "all the same" at the end of the sentence it was in place of "nonetheless" or "no matter what".
-
Agreed. I am responding to your assertion about how Christian forgiveness works. I am not making any excuses for unscrupulous behavior. When I said "wont get people very far" I meant purely in terms of forgiveness - your orginal point. Sadly you are right re personal progression for such people.
-
Why are trying way harder than anyone else on here to convince people of your views? Did Richard Dawkins steal your idea ?
-
He is amazing. Amazingly...colourful...noisy..... you can fill in the rest
-
I did not say he is a great designer. And I dont know (the clue was in the post you responded to - I dont have all the answers). I think humans are bloody amazing all the same
-
It does not matter if they think this, or, what I think, or, not wishing to be rude, what you think, in terms of forgiveness. You said Christianity allowed people to do whatever they want and then they can just be forgiven once a week. I was trying to convey that its how they behave that matters and the type of behaviour you suggested would not get people very far. He gave us the ability to design guns, chemicals, motor cars, carving knives and electricity. Dont think its his fault if people then use them to harm other innocent people. Can I explain all natural disasters? Definitely not. Have I lost someone close to me through one and been very troubled by that? Yes. I dont have all the answers (if only). I dont imagine I will change your view or many others and thats OK. Just trying to give a wider perspective on a few points
