You were not there either then. I did not call him "bad" at all. To do so would have been injustice to other bad players. Poor games I can handle. But anyone there witnessed a total lack of effort or interest, combined with very poor technical ability
-
Clearly you were not at Palace. Against L1 opposition (i.e not their first team) could not have been less interested or less competent.

Remember it well! Shipperly, Heany and Watson with 3 goals in about 2.5 minutes, madness! Cut my head open somehow but did not notice till i got home

Forte. Needs more playing time, or just not good enough?
Bucks Saint replied to CWD's topic in The Saints
Never again for us. Not a championship player, never mind in a promotion chasing team. League 1 may even be a stretch -
Bl@@dy brilliant frankly, midweek and all that. Don't think too many will be seriously upset at the loss, and will have seen some good youngsters. But Forte might want to keep an eye out for 2571 people who may want a word....

Agree with most of this, except: SDR did better IMO. Most of the time we threatened, or looked like we would, he was involved. Will give him some slack because he was supported mostly by Forte (must never play again), Holmes (poor, see below) and Reeves (worked hard but inexperienced) Holmes is tidy in possession, calm when surrounded and did deliver a few crosses. But others were poor and the most frustrating thing was watching Holmes stand still as Harding ran towards him with the ball. Not once did he run past the Palace winger and stretch the game by offering a different pass option. Another chance for Holmes and he did not do enough. WP was very positive, always looking for the ball, a neat turn on him under pressure. Yes a few errors but very promising

Adkins did say on Friday about Lallana on the OS that he was "sure he will be available for selection". May have genuinely thought that, or just misleading Reading

As far away as you can manage walking. Welcome to Croydon

If that is the team then suddenly I have two spare tickets

Neil Shipperley's goal at OT, midweek, in the cup, circa Jan 1997. 6k saints fans there, goal was at our end. I ended up 6 rows further forward and when I emerged from the bodies / floor and worked out where I was, realised play had long restarted as it had been disallowed. Injured for a no goal, FFS. Got in at 6am (car broke down in the snow), immediately watched the highlights. Was a perfectly good goal

This. Would add that Guly was off the boil totally. De Ridder was excellent as soon as he came on, should start Tues. Reading fans idiots, clearly it pi@sses them off that they are not on the up unlike us. Get over it, you had your 5 mins of fame. Felt like a very good point on the way out
-
21k? Where have you all been hiding?
-
er, try post #38 above. There are plenty of pubs between the station and the central shopping area, all within 5 - 10 mins walk. Most / all were happy to let us in last time we played them, colours not a problem
-
Great support keeps on going! Midweek, carling cup, in the middle of a rash of games too

Have always had a totally irrational dislike of Reading. Not hatred, nothing like that, they are not worth it and there is no reason to. Just their plastic fans, coming out of the woodwork in good times and disappearing just as quickly; slagging us off as if we are a close rival when we dont give a monkeys (much like BHA); and the attitude last time we were there and beat them - how dare we bring 4k fans and sing a lot when we are bottom of the league. Do one FFS

How much is her face value?
-
Got mine online today. £15 (plus ticket tax) = good value, night games there usually very decent.
-
Should be. I will be picking one up via online tomorrow. Palace is pretty easy straight from work for me, so midweek is better than a Saturday. Two away trips in a three days, here we come!
-
Derby turnout is great and next Sat will be a blast I am sure. The last time at Reading was sold out (in our end) and very loud. I am certain that part of it was the feeling that, despite being bottom and having a miserable season and a ton of kids in the team, we could do one over Reading, whose supporters were getting a little f-ing tiresome bigging up themselves. On the way to the ground that day, I heard one say, "why are all these lot from Southampton even here, and singing before the game too, they are bottom and have no chance?". Nuff said.

Beg forgivness, just seen this on the Away forum, much better informed than me on parking. (I never drive to away games, thats my excuse): Parking at Reading is as follows: Map: http://www.readingfc.co.uk/staticFiles/2f/8c/0,,10306~166959,00.pdf Instructions from their web site: http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/TravelParking/0,,10306~592842,00.html Foster Wheeler, Shinfield Park, 500 spaces Free to park This involves a short bus ride to and from the stadium. Fares on return bus shuttle are £4 adult return and £2.50 child return. Free parking. Directions: from J11, M4, take exit B3270 (signposted Earley) and follow yellow signs to "Match Reading FC Park & Ride ". This is the best option for away supporters. Greyhound / Speedway Stadium site, 500 spaces £8 per car Five minutes walk to the Stadium. Access off the A33 at the Bennet Road roundabout. Worton Grange, formerly HP Invent, 1000 spaces £8 per car Seven minutes walk to the Stadium. Directions: From M4, go toward Reading and turn right at the first roundabout on the A33. There is no right turn into the car park - you must turn left after approaching from Basingstoke Road
-
There is an official car park at the ground, but that is it for some miles around. It is on a business park-type location, a couple of miles out from the town centre and right next to the motorway. The official car park is a decent size and very handy, just dont count on leaving in a hurry afterwards, it will take some time.

Usually buy online but as it was "sold out" I tried the phone and got them fine. Had a nice chat with the telephone office lady too, so well worth it!

If a girl tells you that you smell nice......
Bucks Saint replied to Spudders's topic in The Muppet Show
she just thought you smelled nice. end of. sorry. -
Lundekvam or Svensson or Ostenstad or Ekelund?
Bucks Saint replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
Spot on except the comment re Ekelund. He was already developed! A class act. I think I am right to say that Le Tissier was asked after he retired who was the best player he had ever played with and his answer was Ekelund. Absolutely gutted when he had his injury problems. Oh and bless Bally - which other manager have we ever had who could borrow a class act from the likes of Barca because they were mates with the Barca manager!
