Cheers for the advice, I will check out the videos from the websites mentioned. I spent 6 hours removing all the tiles and and trips to the dump and then tidying the kitchen. All back as it was but tile-less now. Not sure what I need to do next, but will give it a go, and hopefully get it all finished by the weekend. Thinking of doing the floor as well, nice stone looking one.

Very busy today removed all the tiles from the kitchen, and just finished my fish and chips for the hard work. Now not quite sure what I need to do before I paint it, as I have not read the other thread yet!

Thanks for the advice above. I think we have had the wrong kind of thinking. We leave the bathroom window open nearly all of the time, thinking it was ventilation we needed, and not thinking it could be lack of heat. Yes it is cold in our bathroom for this reason. We are beginning to get damp in the bedroom as well and it is alway hold in there, as I do not like sleeping in a warm room!

The turnaround at Brighton, as at 1-0 I thought that was going to be it after Huddersfields win early in the day or the day before. Then 2 goals in the last 10, I just knew we were going up!

Yes but this is a problem with society in general, you have a group of kids in one shop and they are all going to be stealing. Also the attitude of people changes on the sight of. Black person in the street late at night. There is also more tension which has been built up in the media between Southampton and Liverpool when it comes to the docks, and cruise ships. I have heard the stories on local and national news and local news, and well as in the papers. So Southampton again are very worries about losing trade to Liverpool and the effect this will have for Southampton, which will be massive. Thank god I only love the football club and just come down for games then back to my safe Hertfordshire home!!!!

We have terrible problems with damp in the bathroom, and leaving he window open does not help at all. I am thinking of getting a vent put in, and was wondering if any of you knew how much this would cost? Cannot seem to find anything on the Internet for prices!

But this is why stats could be used much more to develope a bigger picture of how players play key roles, which many fans miss. A prime example is the slagging of Guly which is just not justified IMO, and I am sure the stats, which include goals and points should point to this. These stats as mentioned above could have pass completion rather than an assist in the miss chances section, which n turn would go down as a missed chance for the player who 'should' have scored. Yes at the end of the days goals and wins is what we are after, but if we so do choose we should have more information on individual play stats. You have to admit it would make intetesting reading for most of us on here.

I would be happy with Billy Sharp to be honest....

Well I find it intestering as there is soooooo much more to football, than meets the moronic fans eyes! IMHO
-
But you should use this information along with other stats to find out just who is and who is not pulling their weight. I am sure that Guly covers most ground during home games, but would like to see his tackling back stats, because of course I could run around a pitch for 90 minutes and do while refereeing, but it does not mean he does anything, but we all know Guly does. He may not win tackles but it is just applying pressure so the opposition make mistakes to give the ball back.

Agreed this is something that goes under the radar in football, as it seems to be all about goals and then keepers when it comes to clean sheets. I would like to see a complete view of teams, which includes tackles won and lost, assists as mentioned and pass completion with are all important parts of the game. Also with keepers getting the praise for clean sheets, when sometimes they have very little to do, then you need to take a look at the whole team and who worked the hardest to keep the ball away from the keeper, and then distribute the praise where deserved. I think stats for things like the above should be readily available, for a complete overview of our team, and geeks like me who find all this information very intetesting.

Hi all, We moved into our house over a year ago and fitted a new kitchen and plug sockets. The next move was to remove the white tiles that cover over half the kitchen and really make it look a little like a commercial kitchen. I have started the process this morning of removing the tiles, with a screwdriver and a hammer, and this seems to do the trick, but if any one knows a better way then feel free to let me know!! I have noticed that the wall behind the tiles is bumpy and uneven, does this need sanding and plastering before I paint, and if so how much will this cost and how will I do this. I am going to tile round the sink, but again, my tiling skills are or we're a little to be desired, so any hints or tips in this area? I will try not to screwdriver my hand or any other part of my body during this exercise!!

The "why did they think I would want that for christmas" thread
Dr Who? replied to Spudders's topic in The Lounge
I got this stupid iPad, what the hell am I suppose to do with it? I can honestly say my least exciting present was the hairy bikers cookbook, but I do the cooking and love cooking so not that bad. My family know me well! The referee gnome was fantastic as well, but not sure why the saints shop have them?? -

This a new thread on its own, is Dune a lady? A lady who has been given the hint that the facial hair is getting out of control? -
Should be allowed to open when they like. Still do not understand the only allowed to open for 6 hour rule on Sunday (10-16:00 or 11-17:00). Times have moved on and I think Tesco might as well go 24/7. If I owned my own business and the demand was there I would not be happy if I was told I could not open. Stupid rule!!!

Now the magic of the FA Cup 3rd round is just around the corner, and no matter how much I would love to see Saints go on a great run, and maybe even get to the final, I also would like to go out of the competition. Realistically we could probably and probably will get through a couple of rounds and go out, now would it not be better this season to put a second team out and maybe exit or go though, but give the FA Cup to these fringe players? I think it is so important that we focus on the league, even more so as we seem to have lost a little bit of momentum. I think a rest over a couple of FA Cup weekends will do us good. How do you think we should approach the FA Cup?
-
We should have enough to beat them, but you never know with our away form. I can see another draw.

We're Crewe and Liverpool linked a few years back? I am sure that Crewe were Liverpools feeder club?
-
I also had test match cricket, which you used to get the other team out by the ball rolling across the ground and the ball rolling between the fielders legs into a little cup. This was how you got caught out!!! Madness!

Loved the game, had the whole set up with stands, crowds, floodlights, and the giant trophies!! Me and my dad used to play it all the time, but used to get great pleasure in just setting it all up, then having a riot, or used the plant spray bottle to make the game called off through a waterlogged pitch.... I had a difficult childhood!! Ha ha ha

As per normal Christmas evening was spent with the family playing board games and eating cheese and crackers, while getting drunk on Rum. Just wondering what board games you lot played or what you did with the family during Christmas evening night? We played His & Hers and 5 seconds.

Watched Dr Who, but that was about it!
