without Hammond and Schneiderlin our midfield is going to be lightweight, but we do need another class midfielder and before the end of the week. We do not have the class in midfield without these two so we end up opting for the long ball up to the forwards. It is strange how we have gone from being a better team in the second half to being better in the first 30 minutes (MK Dons and Brentford) Only 2 points from a possible 12 on the road is just not good enough for a club that is suppose to be pushing for the playoff's. I cannot see it myself unles we put a very good run together starting on Sat. MIDFIELDER PLEASE!!

I can confirm that I used to be a season ticket holder, but I still have a customer numnber and I am still on the Southampton FC database. I will not be going to this game though!

DON'T bank on Saints v Pompey being Live on ITV.
Dr Who? replied to CLOTH EARS's topic in The Saints
Are ITV the only channel that have the cup games? I know that 4 are shown over the whole weekend..... we WILL be one of them without a doubt!! -
That would mean them lifting the FA Cup in May!!!

He beat his man (sometimes two) time after time with some great tricks, but his final ball lets him down, just tends to panick a little when he has done the hard part and left his man on his bottom!!

Just got back. Milton Keynes is a souless place, not just in the home end of the ground, but the place itself. What were they thinking when they built it? As for their fans terrible Franchise FC, never liked them never will. They are not a proper football Club, their fans were waving at us!! What is that all about. Anyway the game should have been wrapped up in the first 30 minutes, and then it kind of died out. Support was a great turnout, but like the match died after 30 minutes and so did the fans, but picked up at the end again! I think we need to go into the home leg with causion as they now have nothing to lose, but feel that they think that the league is what they want the most in a lackluster proformance from them after a 0-5 away win on Sat!! Could we reach a final and maybe even win a trophy???

Why in your dreams?

2-1 Carlisle
-
Well that has depressed me, but I think they have more riding on a playoff place so could be in two minds. I think the Leeds game will be interesting tonight as I think thier priority is in the league and will be aware of a mini wobble! Could be against Carlisle in the Final and all the way up until the weekend I thought there was no way that Leeds would not make it... now I have my doubts!

This is normally the 10 minutes we turn the screw!!

On a regular basis we are quite naff in the first half. We have not been playing thet well, (not as well as we have been) over the last few games. Second half we will nail them!!

A Lorra lorra risk!!

I think this will be our man. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/c/carlisle_united/8454246.stm All points towards Saints!

It is the cup 1-0 or 5-0 still the same outcome and that is we are through. The FA Cup is always different to a league game, and all you have to do is get through. A win and on to the Hudderfield game, and yes we wil have to pick it up, and I am sure we will. COYR!!

That is football all over, one week to the next but the same teams and completely different results.
-
If we draw do we win, or lose, or draw in the reply, if we score more in the pens? I will get my coat!!

I can confirm that it did close down and re-open, but cannot confirm at the moment if it is still open, but will find out! Great pub just over the road from the ground, with plenty of free parking and a quick exit!

I would go every week if I did not live so far away, and the fact that my wife was a season ticket holder and we have two young kids near on make it impossible. We do as many away games as possible. I would prefer to go to away games at the moment, we are much better on the road, but saying that last game I went to was MK Dons at home. Next hopefully Leeds and Colchester away. They will all start to come back when we start reaching the top of the Championship. Even those passionate Newcastle fans have many empty seats and they are top of the CCC.

I think we just need to not fall back in their come Saturday or a week on Friday!! I think after taking 3 tries to get out of dreaded bottom four, to fall back in there in a matter of day could have a huge impact! Walsall are no push over these days!!
