Season tickets bought over 6 months interest free
Michelle replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
Really? Since when? Wonder how long it'll be before they want to change our T&C's so the 0% offer is discontinued. -
I clocked it was Shirley after the first one. Sad but true.

Apply for Barclaycard Football credit card - season tickets go interest free on them for as long as you need - as long as you make your minimum payments and don't put anything else on there. I've been doing it for years. -

Dunno about time limits, but I think we'd be more concerned with finding the five grand we would need to lodge the appeal.

Tonight: Just had dinner, leaving for London at 6pm to go and see Pink at the o2 Arena, get back home at some unearthly hour in the morning. Saturday: Lie-in, pack, pick up friend who has a gig in Nottingham, drive to Nottingham, check-in to hotel, meet up with more friends, foodage, go to aforementioned gig. Sunday: Drag self out of bed in time for pubs opening, drink, party, football, party, drink, food, collapse. Monday: Stay in bed as long as possible, drive back to Southampton, die.

Any replies yet guys?

The Football League really need to sort this once and for all. They shouldn't be able to, as has been said, allow Stockport to effectively "do a Leeds" and take a completely meaningless deduction. The deduction should be seen as a punishment for poor financial control. Stockport's punishment is dropping from one meaningless league position to another. Whoop-de-doo.
-
They should start NEXT season on -10, end of. THAT'S punishment for admin, in the same way we're being punished. I seem to recall reading that because we'd gone into admin after the deadline, there were potentially three different outcomes dependent on our finishing position: - if we were relegated, as we have been - deduction applies next season, so we're punished by starting on -10 - if we stayed up by less than 10 points - deduction applies this season, therefore relegation is the punishment - if we stayed up by more than 10 points, the deduction applied next season, so we're punished by starting on -10 Stockport fall into the latter category, therefore should have them applied next season! Simples (as the meerkats would say!)
-
Well this is the thing isn't it - Stockport getting the hit now doesn't make a blind bit of difference materially - they stay in the same league, albeit a few positions lower. So in that respect, it's hardly a "punishment" if they get them taken off now! I can completely understand why we are getting ours next season - I cannot understand how Stockport can possibly get theirs this season though.

Wakey wakey guys!

Lock it up mods!
-
They're reporting on SSN that SCFC have confirm the deduction will be applied this season! Are the Football League making it up as they bloody go along or what!? Surely as they've missed the deadline for this season, it HAS to go onto next season??

How about May Madness? As long as ol' cherry chops doesn't weasel his way back in, our two season tickets will be re-purchased after a year hiatus. Don't give a hoot about the cost, I'll be there.
-
As much as I'd rather not have been relegated, I am looking forward to the new away grounds. Don't give a hoot about locality, I'd rather have as many as possible that I haven't already been to. Really hoping Carlisle don't go down at the weekend! It's quite scary I could actually clock up my 92 all with Saints the way we're spiralling down - would just need cup ties at Arsenal, Wigan and Swansea to finish 'em off!
-
Clearly I've been fed duff information. Ignore my previous post.

With several changes. Trainline.com explains all. Have fun!
-
Unless you want to arrive after kick-off, I would suggest finding an alternative method of transport. I'm not joking either.
-
Beattie, Kev Davies, Walcott, Bridge for starters.
-
We won't find out about the tickets until tomorrow, that's pretty certain. Just bear in mind we haven't yet had our 10%, so we could have grounds for action if they don't give us our minimum allowance...
-
I hope to God you're right. It's goodnight from us again if he manages to weasel his way back for a third time.
-
I know one of the lads who did it too, was a couple of years below me at school. Didn't watch it, but apparently he scored a goal. Good man.

Now we're effectively down, I guess there's a possibility Forest won't risk giving them to us not to sell them, and if we have to pay for any unsold it's without doubt a no-no. Saying that, if we get a result tomorrow and Forest think there'll still be enough interest from us to see if we get our points deduction this season or next, the second allocation could still come through. In theory they've gotta give us around 900 more regardless, to give us our 10%.
