qpr, southampton and cardiff are in competition to £1.5m rated leeds midfielder bradley johnson. according to the mirror.

5 people kicking against the system is good enough for me.we need a decent pitch invasion at sms to liven the place up.

tbh i thought as much, the knob on the radio does like to be a bit sensationalist sometimes.

on the radio yesterday it said that some saints fans were heading for the exit when PNE's second goal went in. anybody on here one of those early leavers? that'll learn ya :-) but fair play for travelling that distance,i take my hat off to you. also glad to see a good old fashioned pitch invasion..whoever it was keep up the good work. p.s. anybody get one of the players shirts that were thrown into the crowd?

give it a rest, the whole thing has been blown apart on another thread. making mischief for the sake of it is becoming very tedious.

i bought a 76 final one a few years ago and paid a fiver,i know somebody who bought a fully signed one apart from stokes for £30 but that was before osgood died so i should imagine it has gained in value slightly. channons testimonial tends to get a good price when they come up for sale as do the 84 cup game against pompey. i have noticed that since saints were relegated, their isnt as much interest in saints stuff as when they were a prem side.

i agree that the 'big 4' should have been allowed to cut loose,it would have been a big loss at the time but it would have been beneficial in the long run.perhaps they could have been replaced by celtic, rangers and a couple of others.i would have liked to have seen us compete with the supposed best teams in scotland. greed has consumed the game.....greedy clubs, greedy players, greedy agents, greedy television.it is no longer a working mans game, the working man put the game where it is today and now he finds himself locked out. -

im afraid proper football has had its day,it has now been taken over by the greedy corporations.the only thing missing from st marys is a full body disinfectant spray as you walk through the turnstiles. football is dead,it has become boring watching it and i feel mugged.my only enjoyment is visiting the old style stadiums for a cup game or pre season friendly occasionally where you can stand, have a laugh and smell the atmosphere. i did put my 'football depression' down to my age but im not so sure anymore. football should be 3pm on a saturday afternoon, standing should be the majority option and fans should be allowed to safely interact with the visiting fans, anything else is just not football imo. frankly,i miss being treated like sh1t. -

are you for real? the only reason NP was appointed is because lawrie mac junior was getting a great big payday for doing the deal.crouch may well be all of those things you said but he was an average chairman being led by a greedy fvcker. -
the damp problem is due to the single brick skin,it is always going to be cold and damp as there is no airspace, inner skin and insulation.you are right to knock it down and start again, built properly with plumbing will cost you in the region of £3k to £5k depending on finish, plumbing and drainage and roof type and windows etc etc.if you want a quote or advice then pm me i have friends in every trade who can take the job on from start to finish or just parts of the job to suit you.
-
and who do you suggest takes his place? at least give a realistic viable alternative. lowe gone or not makes no difference whatsoever,he is a major shareholder which has the backing of other major shareholders, unless he is willing to cash in his shares at a great loss then he will always in someway have a say in the running of the club.i dont see and have never seen a large queue waiting to jump into the hotseat and i dont envisage one being there in the near future. the only fair way to get the right man for the job is to have him/her elected like they do on the continent.the fans vote for a certain candidate that puts himself/herself up for election based on promises to sign a certain player or achieve a certain goal.this would please the majority of the fanbase and also help to achieve their expectations. if it doesnt work out then come the next election somebody else gets a crack at the top job.

A thread for the deliberate stay away's only!
lordswoodsaints replied to Tac-tics's topic in The Saints
im sorry windmill but if you dont like ****ing money up the wall then you should have never become a saints fan,in fact you should have never become a fan of football full stop, being a football fan is an expensive waste of time whatever team you support. -
the lowe haters will see every little message from the club/players as lowes words, the lowe luvvies will see it as a positive message from their great leader and the neutrals(like myself) will see it for what it is, a genuine positive rallying call by a senior player who has remained loyal and determined when all seemed lost. lowe haters - 'is that a ufo come to destroy our planet' lowe luvvies - 'no its a ufo come to save us from ourselves' lowe neutrals - 'its just a plane'

A thread for the deliberate stay away's only!
lordswoodsaints replied to Tac-tics's topic in The Saints
tbh after speaking to numerous players over the years they dont really notice the crowd too much as they are (or should be) focused on playing the game. all of this 12th man b0ll0x is just that imo.............b0ll0x. if you are a good footballer, you are a good footballer and no amount of chanting or singing by 60,000 or 60 fans is going to make you any better. in the 80's i was lucky enough to be able to attend training sessions and 'behind closed doors' matches on a regular basis and there would be maybe 10 -15 people on the line, the players still played as well as if there was 20,000 people watching so i dont think they are too bothered about it. -
id agree that this is the way it happened and was the right thing to do, as like us the players are just as worried about their jobs as the rest of us at the moment so a few reassuring/calming words would go a long way to lift the spirits of the players imo. the rest is just a load of mischief making by the press and certain users on here.
-
nothing really surprises me anymore where saints are concerned but saying that the team played well last night and the result was ok so rightly or wrongly he must have inspired them in some way ............if true of course.
-
sorry to say i did, lallana is november so if hes not here come next november im suing.
-
just spoke to both lallana and surman in the megastore, both good lads, lallana seems very quiet and a bit shy. they are probably our biggest assets but hopefully they will be here next season at least.

How long until the first Lowe Out chant starts tomorrow?
lordswoodsaints replied to Huffton's topic in The Saints
to sit in complete silence for 90mins will do more to scare the living sh1t out of lowe and wilde than chanting, but im afraid there are people out there who cannot shut up for 90 seconds let alone 90 mins. -

i think you will find that, like me a lot of fans dont really care about who is in charge,we are only concerned about the football.some fans are letting their hatred of one man ruin their enjoyment of watching their team and i refuse to let this happen to me. the football may not be great but i have to have hope that things will eventually come good otherwise i might as well join the stay aways and give up and if i do that then not only will the club lose my support and money but also the support of my 4 kids, the future of the club. i will always keep my side of the bargain, but the club doesnt always keep theirs, something which happens at the majority of the clubs in the country and always has done.this is just another low point in our history,we have had them before and we will have them again, but between those low points will be high points and this is what supporting a team is all about imo. you always hope for better things for your club, even if you support the best team in the world but the reality is things are not always rosy even for the biggest, best or richest clubs in the world. -

i dont think it will make the slightest bit of difference tbh, chant by all means but it just wont happen. i personally think the fans have lost the will and cant really be bothered to even challenge the leadership with a few sustained chants. -
i think you are right to a degree but i also believe that we would have been relegated a lot sooner if we had stayed at the dell.we had problems when we were at the dell and moving to sms got rid of a lot of those problems but we gained a whole new set of problems which probably helped in our downfall and the financial problems we have today. nobody really knows what would have happened if we had stayed at the dell but i would have them days back at a blink of an eye.for me sms is not home,i have never felt entirely comfortable there and probably never will but we had to move on i suppose.
