im not sure how much money the MANU game will generate for the club from gate receipts and tv etc but could this be enough to enable us to keep hold of a key player instead of selling one. perhaps surman, lallana or davies would not have to be sold,i know that the money generated would be nothing like the amount we would recieve in a transfer fee but it would surely be enough to pay the wages of at least 1 player, maybe even 2.

Oh, my picture's been replaced...... by a train

thanks for the input but i know different, yes he did do all of those things that you said and yes i enjoyed every minute of that success as a young lad through to my teenage years and i wouldnt change it for anything but it did come at a price,i cant and wont discuss it on here so you will just have to trust me,in fact i dont give a flying fvck what you think so i dont need to share anything with you. -
Will ST holders be able to by extra tickets for Man Utd?
lordswoodsaints replied to derry's topic in The Saints
i think it would be better if after the st holders and members have had their fill, the rest of the tickets left should be bundled together with a league game ticket this way the club gets more money, the stay aways get penalised and the ground gets another high gate. a lot of prem clubs do it,if you buy a ticket for manu or chelsea etc you have to buy a ticket for stoke or hull etc. it sorts the wheat from the chaff. -
sourcey?
-
you would have to say that our current starting 11,the team that has been unchanged for the last 3 games is our best 11 just for the fact that they have gone unbeaten for 3 games but i would like to see holmes and euell involved as well.
-
thankyou, you have hit the nail on the head.
-
you are entitled to your opinion of me but if you have read my posts i want the stay aways to return for the right reasons, the crap fixtures on a cold tuesday night etc i want the ground full evey game or even 20k would put a smile on my face but it p1sses me off that the ground will be brimming for the MANU game yet the week after we will be back to 15k.you know as well as i do that no matter how well saints play against MANU the fairweather fans will not return again until we are fighting for promotion or get a decent cup run (very unlikely).
-
point scoring or not,if you are not a stayaway like you say then you should feel the same way as i do about the stay aways.the genuine stay aways (fans who live miles away, ill fans, fans that have limited funds etc) i dont have a problem with its the fans that refuse to go because of lowe, refuse to go because of our relegation or refuse to go because we are playing kids, these are the fans that p1ss me off, they do nothing but moan about our plight but do nothing to contribute, financially or vocally. they moan about our finances, the players we sign or lack of,and the fact that we have to sell players to survive, yet they will also be the first in the queue trying to get tickets for the MANU game and then moan that they cant get any. i hope the club introduce a 2 ticket system for these fans,it should be season ticket holders and members first and then everybody else has to buy a cup ticket as well as a league game ticket preferably for a not so glamorous fixture.

there is only one lordswoodsaints, and yes i am a better fan than you...thankyou for acknowledging the fact.

ah alpine, the king of the stay aways.
-
where have i said our support is crap? i think the dirty scumbag stay aways are crap, they dont deserve to support saints.in our hour of need they hide behind the 'we hate rupert lowe' ****** and pretend it is the reason they are staying away. they will be clamouring for tickets for the manu game but where will they be come the next home game? i dont see what your problem is if you are a season ticket holder? you obviously have a passion for watching saints as i do. we are all not saints fans, how can the stay aways be the same as me and you? we have stuck with the team (i know it is a very hard job) whilst they have chosen to withold their much needed finances because we are not a prem club,or because they dont like one person etc etc.
-
stay away?
-
one for me and one each for my kids
-
im grateful for your honesty, hope you will enjoy the game that you will once again return.
-
probably because i have got 5 season tickets and they think in some way i might be able to get some spares??? season tickets holders and members should be able to buy a cup ticket first and then everybody else should only be able to buy a cup ticket if they buy another for a league game.
-
judging by the number of 'low post count users' that have hijacked this thread,im guessing that i have struck a raw nerve with the stay aways.
-
thats me UBER FAN.....jeeez im guessing you dont go much? filling the ground every week should be the priority not just one game. as i said previously, our gate will go back to about 15k once the cup game is over so nobody will be 'reinvigorated' if the stay aways are honest about their reasons then i can accept that,if they jump on the 'lowe out' thing and use that as an excuse then thats a different story.
-
whos putting them off? im not the ticket office,if the 'stay aways' want tickets then they have to queue like the rest of us......or is that against their principles as well?
-
go and post your nonsense on that one then.
-
as it is likely to be one ticket per season ticket and i will be taking my full allocation of 5 tickets i will not be able to get any spares anyway. what makes me sick is that the people who want tickets havnt really bothered to go since we were relegated, hence the title..........'you've only come to see united'. i hope the ground is full to the rafters, and it probably will ,but the principles that the 'stay aways' have will probably go out the window and that is what makes me sick. will the ground be full again for the game after the cup game? of course it wont, the 'stay aways' will scuttle back to their principles blaming everybody but themselves for our financial plight, moaning that we dont sign decent players and all of our best players are sold etc etc.
-
come january we have an option to extend all the loans until the end of the season,i dont know if they will be allowed to play or not in the cup games but tbh our priority must be the league.
-
ha ha ha ,how many of the 'stay aways','lowe haters','im not going again until lowe goes','i only want to watch saints in the prem' and the fairweathers will come sniffing around for tickets for the cup game? ive had 2 on the blower already and i had great pleasure in telling them to fvck off. will the stay aways be able to resist or will they change their principles? they make me fvckin sick.
