  1. its funny how loads of players go injured at the end of december, thats what a transfer window causes im afraid.ironically me and the boy attended a calendar signing a few weeks back with surman and lallana, doesnt look like they will even get to see the first day of that calendar in a saints shirt.
  2. i dont ever read it but does that display really need any spin.credit where credit is due, nobody had a bad game today.
  3. it certainly looked like it to me? perhaps JP reads this forum.
  4. true,i know people at the echo and they have told me that they have to be careful when reporting on saints because if they upset certain people they will not be allowed preferential treatment so they have to tread carefully. a classic example is what is happening to wotton at the moment, the story is there but it has to be kept under wraps for fear of upsetting the club,it will be reported but it will be very watered down.
  5. cork has been my player of the season so far, pure class.closely followed by KD he has a great season but on a few occasions he has slipped back into his old ways, not many times mind but i just think cork has given sweat and blood for a team that he doesnt even belong to. surman and perry have been on top of their game for a good part of the season,so has pearce.lallana although naturally gifted seems a bit lightweight and is not yet the finished product, but his potential is their for al to see.BWP has done better although he tends to fall away sharply in the second half.the rest are much the same imo. mcgoldrick deserves a special mention.............sh1te.
  6. he would but he wont,he knows that if jp gets the boot he will have to appease the masses,so he will go with the popular choice and that wont be scw.
  7. baj,it is sometimes a difficult thing to support the saints but it is something i was born to do,like my kids i didnt have a choice,my dad was saints mad and he passed this on to me (bastard:-)).it is very difficult at the momnt, especially when the kids are not witnessing any wins or even a goal but i have to keep going in the hope that the good times wil return. you have to do what you think is right, nobody will blame you for not going but im sure the temptation will be too strong to resist.
  8. tbh a decent manager pays for himself, there is no need to sell players to fund it,the problem is how much that manager needs to spend in the transfer window to do his job.
  9. of course,i would do whatever it took to protect my money, but if fulthorpe is serious then why doesnt wilde approach him and try and do a deal for his shares.imo wilde just wants to get out of the whole mess with his money intact and he may be able to do that if fulthorpe is serious. they didnt get rich by giving money away and doing bad deals,so they will do all they can to protect their investments, this is why i am suspicious of crouch and his claim that he will give away his shares to the right person.
  10. you pay peanuts you get monkeys! i have been a fan of JP and i had hoped that things would come good under him,i decided back in the summer to give him until christmas as he seemed a good bloke and he seemed to want to play football the right way,but now the time has come for me to withdraw my support of him and do my best to get him ousted.this is not a personal thing,it is because my football club is under serious threat of relegation.dont get me wrong he is just a small part of the problem but we have to start somewhere and the manager seems to be the obvious choice. as much as jp and lowe like to say otherwise,we are not setup to play the jp way, players are not playing because they are square pegs in round holes.they have been taught from an early age to play the british game and now are being asked to play differently, this especially applies to the senior players, old dogs new tricks and all that. i am certain that a loss today will trigger some reaction that will result in significant changes being made.there has already been some rumblings from within the club so it seems the seed has already been planted. a change of manager may not work out but something has to be done before its too late, ideally lowe and wilde will fvck off but i cant see that happening just yet so a new manager must be the priority imo.
  11. ropey prostitutes, spunking up a wall?.............sounds a lot better than sitting in the kingsland today......where do i sign up? seriously though, fulthorpe needs to start hoovering up as many shares as he can outside of the big 3's shares to prove his intentions and then work on getting hold of the big 3's shares.if crouch sees that fulthorpe is serious there is no reason why he wont give away his shares to him as promised, unless of course fulthorpe is just a chancer/dreamer. wilde,or the share whore as i like to call him will jump into bed with anybody to protect his investment it seems,so if fulthorpe is serious and he makes a serious charge to takeover the club then wilde will be undressed and bent over in his bedroom before fulthorpe even gets a chance to remove his shoes. lowe will hang on by his fingernails until the very last minute as usual but will eventually buckle and leave, giving fulthorpe his day in the sun. tbh im not convinced about fulthorpe but he might as well have a go at fvcking the club over, its only fair,he cant do any worse than what we have already got......can he?
  12. not fit to wear the admin shirt imo.:-)
  13. i also hear the skates are planning a mass vote to get her out first
  14. ive already bought my tissues, and if she wears a saints top or lowe out t shirt i will have to buy another box.
  15. forest have made their change at the right time imo.just before the transfer window opens and in plenty of time for the new man to try and turn things around.
  16. i posted this before i gained the other information about the bust up steve,i should be getting a bit more info on the bust up very soon so as soon as i get it i will post it up (if i get it).ive got a feeling it runs a bit deeper than just a bust up between player and coach, from what i have been told it involves more than one player.
  17. but a change of manager could do wonders, look what happened to spurs when redknapp took over, even blackburn have managed to pick up 4 points in 2 games since allardyce joined........a decent manager injects some belief into dejected players. we need somebody to stop the slide,i dont know who that somebody is but i would get them here sooner rather than later.
  18. exactly, against teams that we have agood chance of winning you put out a side to beat them,a side that gives us the best chance to turn them over......against the 'better' teams you put out a team to contain them and maybe get something out of the game.this especially applies to teams like us who are fighting for survival.when we have gained enough points for safety then players can be rested, lets face it being an overpaid ponce isnt exactly hard work is it.
  19. i dont care about forest but if you want to make some money put all your dosh on nigel clough being appointed.he is currently on a nine game run of wins at burton albion and they are 10 points clear at the top of the table, still holding on to the number 20 shirt just in case he needs to play..............hold on a minute he could be just what we need.
  20. up the pub......oh i thought you said pints,..........points? i aint got a fvcking clue and nor has the team, management and board.
  21. but the kids only know how to play one way apparently???????? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11129 under the question - why dont we play ugly football?
  22. it is just a game and some would say a hobby but when you have been going since you were 4 years old (38 years) and witnessed the highs and lows, following your team across the country and europe, fighting in the name of your team(it used to be fashionable),bought your kids up to support the team you love,it sort of becomes part of your life and gets in your blood, which becomes very hard to shake off.
  23. you could be right but i dont subscribe to this resting players ******.plymouth were there for the taking and we had to make sure that we took advantage of that by playing our strongest side.we had more chance of beating plymouth than we do of beating reading so i would have put a team out to win at plymouth and against reading i would put a more defensive team out perhaps in the hope of snatching a draw. resting players is sh1te imo......rest them for what exactly?,they dont deserve a rest, they should be able to play 2 or 3 games a week easily.............i managed 3 games a week until i was 35 and still play 1 game a week at nearly 42 and thats without any training,a belly full of beer,4 kids and grafting hard 5 days a week....:-)
  24. i hope fulthorpe is right but i fear he is a bentley without an engine.
  25. at the start of the season up until a few weeks ago we were playing some nice football, even though the results were not great we were still passing the ball nicely and it was good to watch.i know this doesnt count for much if we lose but now it seems we are not even playing decent football. dont get me wrong i wasnt enjoying losing, but at least we were getting something out of going to watch week in week out ,now we are not even getting decent footie just a load of disjointed sh1te,players not knowing their jobs and players buckling under the slightest bit of pressure.
