  1. sorry wrong on both counts,i will never reveal the source but it is somebody who has a good strike rate and is involved in the media. i was stood behind lawrie and dave in the car park and they didnt realise i was there,my son was waiting for an autograph and i overheard a conversation which included the words finances and money............is that good enough? i dont know exactly what the conversation was as i didnt catch it all..............for all i know it could be about the price of sliced bread, that is why i suggested you draw your own conclusions.
  2. no, he was just watching the game like the rest of us im afraid,i think he was the guest of somebody.
  3. after the game... firstly heard from a good source that surman is staying and lallana is going. secondly the club are trying to do a deal to bring baird back on loan. i have no reason not to believe them as it comes from a very good source. also i saw lawrie mac and dave merrington in serious discussion about finances after the game, spoke to dave merrington and asked him if he was going to sort the club out and he replied 'chance would be a fine thing, ive tried' also the kids got a picture with lee sharpe after the game,he was brilliant with the kids and a top bloke. draw your own conclusions.
  4. he was..the east side of new york.......the bronx.
  5. as i said on another thread, there are currently 90 managers out of work so no need to pay compensation to another club. changing a manager is the easy part, giving that new manager the money to do his job will be the hard part...........for us anyway.
  6. if he doesnt play its probably more to do with being cup tied for his new club.
  7. wilde is the weak link in the chain that needs to be broken.....i have said many times before that wilde just wants out with his dosh intact.if true then good riddance to bad rubbish but im not sure how i feel about him selling to crouch.
  8. 16-1 for 1-0 win 20-1 surman to score first is what im going to do.
  9. the pitch has been covered for days so i doubt they will call it off......too much money involved.
  10. you're welcome to do so norm,i need a break from all these kids.ive forgotten what going to football with my mates is like, its just been me and the mothercare crew for the last few years.:-)
  11. im standing,im standing........but it doesnt really help me out:-)
  12. saints and manu players, was going to take the kids to try and get some autographs before the game?????
  13. The Manu game is finally here. Last night I was thinking back to all the great cup games I have been to over the years, especially our great cup run of 1984,I went to every game and loved every minute. Some of you would have been too young, some not even born, but if you are about my age you will look back and remember what a great run that was, what a great year that was and what some great players we had. I wasn't looking forward to the game today because all of the sh1t that surrounds this club,I was was happy for the kids as they don't get to see the quality of football I did as a kid growing up in the 70's,but this morning I woke up realizing and remembering exactly why I love this club. Things are are tough for us at the moment but they will improve one day, hopefully it will be today:-) Whatever the outcome of today's game, just enjoy it,we don't get many of these games anymore so make the most of it. Looking at some of the results yesterday gives us some hope, just look at forest and southend......... We might just get lucky. Come on you red and White machine
  14. overpaid spoilt little ponces.
  15. if i could get that for mine i would sell them.ive got 4.
  16. we handed the keys to the stadium back to whoever we have the mortgage with?:-) the stadium would virtually become worthless,it would just revert back to a vacant plot of land as nobody will want to buy it and use it for its intended purpose. would they auction it off as they do with repo houses? perhaps we could buy it back cheap at the auction..........thats if anybody would be willing to give us another mortgage. :-):-)
  17. scotland did us a favour by taking burley, perhaps the dutch national team will snap him up.:-)
  18. according to lawrie sanchez on soccer am a few weeks ago there are currently 90 registered managers out of work. there must be one out there who could get us out of this sh1t?
  19. im not fussed if he does or not tbh,he hasnt exactly set the world alight,in fact i wouldnt care less if he was sold, loaned or played,he is never going to be a prolific striker and im not sure if he even deserves a starting place. but saying all of that his work off of the ball is good and he could bring McG into the game a bit more which can only be a good thing. oh,and no im not an avid follower of your posts but i am willing to give it a go....perhaps you just need a hug from old lordswood:-)
  20. when i spoke to JP and wotte a few weeks ago, just after stern was shipped out,the question was asked if he was aware that stern was leaving his reply was - 'so far we have not been surprised by any decisions and we are fully aware of everything that is happening before it happens.' just wondering if this is still the case? he seemed confident that cork would be staying and he did state that we have an option to keep all of the loan players if needed until the end of the season. will their be anymore surprises in store for jp?
  21. as much as i hate to say it the club is not for sale, lowe does not want to sale. if somebody wants to put money into the club by maybe buying a player or two then all well and good but is there anybody out there stupid enough to do that? there has to be a willing seller before there is a willing buyer, regardless of what lowe says in public about selling the club,i dont believe he wants to sell. somebody with good intentions needs to hoover up as many shares as possible outside of the big three and then hold crouch to his promise of giving his shares to the right person, then work on prising lowe and wildes away from them.
  22. when i spoke to JP a few weeks ago his words were 'we have an option to keep cork on until the end of the season' so what has happened since then??? either the lad didnt want to stay, which would go against what he said the other day,he or chelsea had a better offer or we didnt want to keep him. either way the whole thing stinks, imo he was player of the season so far and now he is going to be playing to keep another rival in the championship.
  23. the current players and directors should be made to watch that.....it will give them an insight into how important the club is to us lot. anybody know the fan that got hit by the team bus? would be interesting to hear his story?:-)
  24. yes ,come to think of it, it was his cousin.
  25. there was a rumour that he may be coming a few weeks back, anybody heard anymore about it?
