even though it is nice to see a full house again it does leave a bitter taste in the mouth. i would like to see just a third of these extra 15k that have wriggled out of the woodwork to watch manu turn up week in week out. it is nice to get a few quid extra but it is a sad state of affairs when you know that at least half of the stadium are there to watch manu.

didnt crouch pay over the 60p mark? if so i doubt he will want to sell at 24p,even 54p would be a big loss.i know he has stated that he will give his shares to the right person but who is the 'right person'? does he mean the 'right person' that will get rid of lowe and improve our club or the right person who will get rid of lowe and reinstate crouch in the hot seat?
-
why dont the club put every penny on a manu win,the odds will be sh1t but it is more or less a dead cert,it is a good way to raise some funds.:-)
-
why dont crouch, lowe and wilde sell their shares? because they dont want to,they all want the same thing,to be in control and this, sadly will go on and on and on until somebody makes an offer that is to good to refuse, but there is nobody out there with the slightest bit of interest in investing in our club, nobody with a decent sized bank acount anyway. so all we will get is chancers, cheapskates and tyre kickers, something i dont want and something we should all be wary of.we need investment that will instantly wipe out the stadium debt, chuck £10-£15mil of team investment in the pot and entice the fans back with a decent manager coupled with a realistic pricing structure...........but this is never going to happen whilst the 3 amigos are constantly trying to score points of each other. i will say it again, whatever is said by them in public.....THEY DONT WANT TO SELL.

we are having a bad time now, pompeys bad times will come again (sooner than they think imo) and saints will one day be up amongst the elite again.thats the way football goes............every dog has their day and all that.

with a nice young laydeee in town. hows he doing out on loan, anybody know? he seems to have become the forgotten man on loan.
-
tbh i hope he is thinking 'how do i get us out of this mess, and very quickly' but i suspect he is thinking 'how do i get us out of this mess on the cheap'
-
tbh i was a bit p1ssed off yesterday,i didnt have my usual elbow room,i had to queue for a p1ss,i had to queue for a drink,i had to get up about 30 times to let people in,there was an abundance of plastics who couldnt find their seats and just stood in the aisles scratching their heads and most of the people around me just moaned about everything (admittedly there was a lot to moan about)..........makes me wonder if it is worth a full stadium:-)

Administration is the ONLY way to break this downward spiral
lordswoodsaints replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
isnt it worth giving it a go in the hope we stay up or giving up and going into admin? if we get relegated then we wil be in the same boat as if we go into admin so we might as well fight for our survival. -
tbf in the past when things havnt looked too rosy with a manager lowe has been quick to act (rightly or wrongly) so i dont think that criticism can be angled at him,but.......but it seems for some reason that he wont with JP.i could be wrong but i just think he is going to persevere with JP whatever the outcome.

the song is very crappy and lame,if you wanna sing it,sing it but from where im sitting it sounds crap and is a bit cringy tbh.

Paul Ince / Roy Keane or Billy Davies
lordswoodsaints replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
get a grip, none of them will get the gig,we aint got the money to pay that sort of manager and we havnt got the money for a decent transfer kitty for them. -
Mike Wilde needs to do some serious thinking this weekend....
lordswoodsaints replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
all of the major shareholders are failed chairmen in one way or another but lowe is the most experienced of the 'failed chairmen' and unless somebody with at least as much experience to match him comes along then there really is no point.we will only end up with another 'mike wilde' character with a crappy catchphrase.........lets go wilde for mike......yeah right. -
nonsense, lowe wont be able to 'hoover up the club for a song' he will have to wait in line like everbody else who wants to do the same thing.
-
normaly new shareholders have a duty to buy the club and inject millions.......how much can i put you down for?

How would we be better without Lowe (this time!)
lordswoodsaints replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
i dont think that this is true,in fact i would go as far as saying you are talking out of your arse.when we were flying high in the prem with a cup final appearance i dont remember too many people getting on his back and the fanbase was certainly not divided. when hoddle was appointed most people looked upon him as a genius who pulled a masterstroke out of the bag, even when redknapp came along there were mixed views but nothing which indicated any malice towards lowe. he has had his bad points and he deserved to go when he did but to say that he has always been the devil incarnate is just ridiculous.i have mixed feelings about his return but as yet he hasnt done too much to upset me so i am happy for him to continue,at least until something else better comes along. -
Tickets selling well for Nottingham Forest
lordswoodsaints replied to Saintmike666's topic in The Saints
i dont mind the odd game being cheap but if it is to become a regular thing then i would want a refund on my season tickets.i cant see it being a regular thing this season because of the logistics of the whole thing but if i were lowe i would try and get something sorted for next season. -
will we convert to 4-4-2 in january?
lordswoodsaints replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
jp doesnt seem to be able to change the system to shut teams out,we could be a goal up with 15-20 mins to go and we should be shutting teams out as it doesnt look likely we are going to score more goals.when hoddle was here he was constantly changing things during a game to suit that period of play, sometimes the shape of the team would change 3 or 4 times in a game and this is what jp should be doing. dont get me wrong our style of play leads to some good attacking football at times but to maintain a lead or stay on top of a game then the system has to adapt and evolve during a game, something which doesnt seem to happen. -
will we convert to 4-4-2 in january?
lordswoodsaints replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
its not the way we play that i see as rigid its the fact that jp seems to want to play that system regardless of who we play, how well or bad we are playing or what the score is.it seems as if he is unwilling to be flexible sometimes at the expense of losing the game. -
Tickets selling well for Nottingham Forest
lordswoodsaints replied to Saintmike666's topic in The Saints
didnt they say yesterday that forest had been given an extra 500 tickets and they are expecting a crowd of just under 30K with the corners opening? i should imagine there would be a big walk up as well so 30k is realistic. i think the linked tickets (manu) were only about 1k punters so i would put the large crowd more down to cheap tickets coupled with a non desire to go christmas shopping witht the mrs.
