  1. After the transfer window has closed.
  2. I would hazard a guess we want to keep them quiet so not to alert Liverpool, Man Utd, Spuds and Arsenal who may attempt to cut out their favoured supplier of talent (SFC) and buy direct at a discount. Guan 2.0???
  3. Rub a bit of dirt on it and man up
  4. The other thread is a moan about keeping up with the Jones', this thread is about Ralph's appointment, his level of success and FFP. I apologise to others reading this thread for having to explain the obvious.
  5. The rules on club wage increases under FFP are a max increase of £4m a year plus any increased revenue from commercial deals. Man Utd get a £75m a year shot in the arm across the next decade, for allowing Adidas to make their football kit certainly allows them to pay the best salaries in the business. We have hired Ralph Krueger to increase Saints' commercial revenue, from what info I have found, commercial income has increased from £4.6 to £6.7m since our promotion, allowing a maximum wage increase of £6.1m. So the impact of Ralph should be measured on top of this. Anyone know the latest figures? Would be interesting to see how much work Ralph has done.
  6. He'll come on now Pelle is in the camp. I think Pelle's experience will rub-off on Gallagher, plus they are a similar build with similar strengths so I'm sure they will be ultra competitive on the training pitch (young buck vs old fart) which always leads to good things.
  7. Appears to be a private business providing private coaching sessions with the aim of getting the kids into professional academies. A sort of prep school for the working class, the director of football is an American student.
  8. mmm, MoPo said he wouldn't raid Espanyol for players when with us as he thought it was disrespectful, its a quote in the press somewhere. So why does he think its OK now?
  9. A run of games from the start of the season, if he remains injury free I think he could finally come good. Remember, Lallana wasn't all that until last season, so I remain optimistic with Ramirez.
  10. what's your guess, defender or keeper?
  11. Jasper Cillessen from Ajax?
  12. and a very good one at that, lightning quick HCDAJFU.
  13. but was it an Own Goal? could be subliminal marketing....
  14. They are ranked larger than Spuds and smaller than Scousehampton, it'll be interesting to see if they turn his head. http://www.forbes.com/pictures/mlm45fdmhj/11-borussia-dortmund/
  15. He's busy leading us.
  16. Jack Butland is top drawer but already at Stoke.
  17. I'd personally get rid for the best price on offer BUT get signatures of two quality starting XI CB's first. That will kill three birds with a single stone. Gets rid of a bad apple Strengthens our squad Goes some way to persuade Morgan Schneiderlin there is ambition at SFC.
  18. If he wants CL football so badly then sell him to Shatkar Donetsk.
  19. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/46453-revealed-why-clubs-leave-transfer-fees-undisclosed So it looks like we will be taking gambles as opposed to buying assured quality. Makes for an interesting season, if we restock our squad with 8 or 9 players on the fringes of their respective national teams, having progressed through their development teams then its not all bad.
  20. The difference being NC had credibility. Even ML, at the time a billionaire, knew NC needed to captain the ship for the sake of his investment. ML was a business man and knew this. His heir on the other hand is not a business person, evident by the collapse of the MALI Group and its financial downfall. Now we have a non business person in charge who unlike ML, (who to reiterate, was a business person, had invested his own money, knew NC could do the job better than him) thinks they all of a sudden they can run a business. I'm sure Conrad Hilton would be spinning in his grave if his great great grand-daughter (Paris) took the reigns of his Hotel group. We are where we are, the players with talent came here as we had a mission (project) now thats gone FUBAR they want out, we will be attractive to players in the championship and minor euro leagues as a stepping stone to follow the likes of Lallana et al. We still have an academy and its the likes of Wallcot, Bale and Shaw that keep that stocked with talent as they view us as a fast route to the big time.
  21. Dont expect him to stay, to be honest he is too good for us and deseves CL footy. Wouldnt acceptca penny below £35m and feck off to addons.
  22. If Schalke are truly interested we dont stand a chance.
  23. Its Southampton. It doesnt matter what your trade or profession is, but if you are there at the prime of your life, you are a failure. Its a city for the start and end of ones career, only losers would stick around during their prime.
  24. Thanks Bearsy: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/5730077/Morgan-Schneiderlin-could-double-wages-with-Napoli-move.html They must have based the figure on this article
  25. Amazing bang for your buck, is there a better value for money player in the Premiership?
