http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/10934515/Southampton-manager-Ronald-Koeman-aims-to-make-Dusan-Tadic-and-Graziano-Pelle-his-first-two-signings.html Looks like we are finally doing some business this week. Spuds apparently to make a bid for JRod also..... -
I would like a continuation of last years tactics but with the implementation of a plan b to counter hoofing teams.

Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw sales; Good or bad?
Killers Knee replied to Saint TJ's topic in The Saints
£30m for someone NOT as good as Clyne, not a bad bit of business. -
If we try to stop players development to the next level we lose the competitive advantage of the academy. We get the best youngsters BECAUSE of Wallcot, Bale, Ox and Shaw. If we block that route of progression the academy will dry up.

Because without the fear of Cortese's wrath the workers lack discipline. Shame Nicola couldnt agree to work under Switzerlands slightly bigger Paris Hilton.

Not risking copyright infirngement but the details are on: p.116, 3rd para

Ummm, yes it is. Have you not read "The Tales of the Secret Footballer". The entire business plan is based on maintaining mid table premier league status off the back of selling academy graduates.

Should the club who has the best academy in the country......?

You do get European footy with a cup win, so it might help retain players over the summer. -
Should the club who has the best academy in the country......?
Killers Knee replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
In Tales of a Secret Footballer the author talks about the job description for a South Coast Managers job. It was clearly the Saints gig. The business model described there is being applied today. -
looks like Lovren and Morgan could be following soon, so don't put away your wallet.
-
anything less than £35m for Schneiderlin is an insult, he is world class.
-
That will be the spine of the team gone then. Lovren, Shaw Schneiderlin Lallana Lambert It will cost approx £100m to replace them like-for-like so we better get top dollar on the sales.

Dejan Lovren hands in transfer request
Killers Knee replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Then we should demand an absolutely eye watering transfer fee. -
Well, last season he was a bit part player playing in 17 of their 34 league matches, so we might have been able to tempt him, but now he's gone and scored a world cup hattrick i think we can safely discount him from any transfer thoughts.
-
Exactly, Man Utd have already boasted about their £250m transfer kitty for welcoming Louis Van Gaal to Old Trafford and fixing the problems highlighted during Moyes' reign. The footballing world know that Man Utd need at least 5 new first team players and they will not, actually cannot afford to let Van Gaal down in the transfer market as they did with Moyes. They need to accept they are in a ridiculously weak bargaining position and even my Grandmother would cost them £10m, and they'd have to dig her up first. It doesn't look like a good summer for Man Utd fans at all.
-
Exactly that, they need 7 players, have £250m to spend and everyone knows they will back LVG in his first season no matter what the cost. They are going to get bent over so hard they'll not have change for Vaseline.
-
Not really, was hoping we would sell Lallana for £28m and buy Shaquriri for £18m
-
I'm sure Koschielny will be informing Wenger what an excellent DM Schneiderlin is, I would hate to lose MS but he is truly in a league above our other players, deserves regular CL footy.

I'll be happy to let him go for £35m cash, all up front plus 25% sell on clause. Take it or do one. Man Utd have a £250m war chest, and have a crap bargaining position. They need to be seen doing business.

My strategy for a World Cup competing team before I die. > Futsal de salao should be coached in all schools from age 5, make kids comfortable in possession. > The footy season for kids should be moved to the summer, play football without ankle deep mud. > The FA should halve the cost of the UEFA B license, increase the supply of coaches. > The managers of the England development teams promoted on merit, not old boy network. > Selection to the first XI is dependent on performance in development teams NOT the premiership, stop clubs blocking international availability. > All the development teams must play the same way, with the same plan A's, B's and C's. We need to take all the development tournament seriously, and play to win them.

Must admit, the reason I don't rate Ramirez is he doesn't play enough. What I saw of him yesterday was very positive, extremely good link-up play. If RK can accommodate him in his tactics we may not miss Lallana at all.
