The difference being NC had credibility. Even ML, at the time a billionaire, knew NC needed to captain the ship for the sake of his investment. ML was a business man and knew this. His heir on the other hand is not a business person, evident by the collapse of the MALI Group and its financial downfall. Now we have a non business person in charge who unlike ML, (who to reiterate, was a business person, had invested his own money, knew NC could do the job better than him) thinks they all of a sudden they can run a business. I'm sure Conrad Hilton would be spinning in his grave if his great great grand-daughter (Paris) took the reigns of his Hotel group. We are where we are, the players with talent came here as we had a mission (project) now thats gone FUBAR they want out, we will be attractive to players in the championship and minor euro leagues as a stepping stone to follow the likes of Lallana et al. We still have an academy and its the likes of Wallcot, Bale and Shaw that keep that stocked with talent as they view us as a fast route to the big time.

Dusan Tadic - DONE DEAL, official and everything

If Schalke are truly interested we dont stand a chance. -
Its Southampton. It doesnt matter what your trade or profession is, but if you are there at the prime of your life, you are a failure. Its a city for the start and end of ones career, only losers would stick around during their prime.

Thanks Bearsy: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/5730077/Morgan-Schneiderlin-could-double-wages-with-Napoli-move.html They must have based the figure on this article

Amazing bang for your buck, is there a better value for money player in the Premiership?
-
Talksport's Hawksbee and Jacobs were just chatting about the player exodus from St Mary's, and they mentioned Luke Shaw being on £160,000 a week. Then they talked about Morgan Schneiderlin earning a colossal £9k a week at St Mary's. Surely this is horribly wrong? To be exactly clear they said they didn't know if it was his basic wage or wage plus bonuses that equalled £9k but that was a shock to me. Shaw is now on a deal that is over 1600% more than Morgan and Luke's never crossed a decent ball, created an assist, had a decent shot or scored a goal in his life (very slight over exaggeration).

Can strike Lovren off the list, for going on strike
-
Hold him against his will and we'll not attract any more talent to the club. Totally mismanaged situation.
-
Echo Quote: "Lovren is said to also be frustrated that the project he was supposedly told about last summer has “completely changed”. The Echo has been told that Lovren’s ambition is to play Champions League football and that he does not feel that will be possible at Saints any longer." Bollix There has been severe mismanagement of key staff at the club. Bloody amateur hour.
-
We cannot make a player the captain when that player needs replacing, so Fonte can be ruled out at an early stage. If Lovren is staying then I would give it to him, he is already the boss of the defensive line. If he's off the Morgan gets it on merit for being the best footballer at the club in a long while.

1st question: Given that you will not be sold to any premiership team, where would you like to play when Southampton sell you in three years time?
-
Dear Dejan, which forum member would you most like to go skinny-dipping with?

a quality act that will net us £30m+ after the next World Cup.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
Killers Knee replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
So on one page we'll have an advert saying "It wasn't you, it was me. I love you really, watch me kiss the badge" and on the opposite page we have the news that he threatened to not play again. OK -
he gets it right about 50% of the time

and we got Sammy Lee as a coach now, what could possibly.....
-
England Goalkeepeing Coach, Dave Watson has signed, hopefully he will make or break Gazzaniga. Sammy Lee makes a return, pretty meh on that one.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/10934515/Southampton-manager-Ronald-Koeman-aims-to-make-Dusan-Tadic-and-Graziano-Pelle-his-first-two-signings.html Looks like we are finally doing some business this week. Spuds apparently to make a bid for JRod also..... -
I would like a continuation of last years tactics but with the implementation of a plan b to counter hoofing teams.

Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw sales; Good or bad?
Killers Knee replied to Saint TJ's topic in The Saints
£30m for someone NOT as good as Clyne, not a bad bit of business. -
If we try to stop players development to the next level we lose the competitive advantage of the academy. We get the best youngsters BECAUSE of Wallcot, Bale, Ox and Shaw. If we block that route of progression the academy will dry up.

Because without the fear of Cortese's wrath the workers lack discipline. Shame Nicola couldnt agree to work under Switzerlands slightly bigger Paris Hilton.
