I cannot see RK staying. Having the entire team sold from under you is one thing, but having it done in such a fashion that makes buying replacements all but impossible is another.

who do we know that are not just old, but very old and have enough money to buy the club? The Queen.
-
We'll have to pay £5m above market value for every player we sign, and we will need 9 by the time Les has finished destroying the club. We will also have to offer them top 6 wages, we are in a relegation dogfight before the seasons started.
-
.....and we will have to offer ridiculous wages for players willing to do a salvage job.

Offloading players at £15m below their value? If true, what could possibly be the driving force behind such a decision, its got to be a first in footballing history. Never a dull moment being a Saints fan, eh!? FFS -
We've rejected a Cardiff bid for Fonte!

We will have to pay £3-5m over the top on every player as the whole footballing world knows we are more than desperate and have a £100m kitty. -

Think of poor old Victor Wanyama, returns from International duty and everyone has scarpered. If I were him I'd be having serious conversations with my agent.

Will this be the best transfer window for Saints ever?
Killers Knee replied to Mallagroth's topic in The Saints
Guly, Unassigned Players, Released Dani Osvaldo, £??, Never coming back Adam Lallana, Liverpool, £25.0m Rickie Lambert, Liverpool, £4.0m Luke Shaw, Manchester United, £27.0m Dejan Lovren, Liverpool, £20m Callum Chambers, Arsenal, £16m I count 7 out the door, maybe they are adding players on loan to that as well. -
I thought both Cork and Fonte were offered 2 year contracts?

Being optimistic, I expect us to make 6 signings for the starting line-up and be rooted to the bottom of the table from the start and then progress in the second half of the season to finish on a season high of 14th. If we sign 3 new players and try to hedge our bets by playing the youngsters and relying on the January window if things are not panning out then there is only one way for us, and Yazz didn't sing about it.

"Any confirmed Chambers deal is likely to see right-back Carl Jenkinson, 22, leave Arsenal on loan to gain regular first-team football." We should not be in the business of developing other teams players. This is a bad change in direction if true.
-
Burnley have the team that got promoted and have brought in an extra 7. They will be a match for anyone in the bottom half of the table. Sunderland have added 4 and released their dross (there's a lot of it). They proved tough enough for us last season. Koeman is more than half a team short of a starting eleven and only has 20 days before his season starts. Jeeez FFS!
-
Apparently RK is after Leroy Fer (Daily Star, Express) Koeman is also considering whether to take Serge Gnabry or Carl Jenkinson on loan from Arsenal, having sent Chambers the other way. (Daily Star)
-
One thing is certain, he has the hardest job in the premier league this season. He now has 20 days to purchase 6 starting players and form a team with only 2 matches remaining before Liverpool. If we are to avoid utter humiliation at Anfield he'll have to get a move on.
-
The only statement that needs making is one of intent by making the 6 first team signings before we face Liverpool.
-
It would be a wiser investment of our £100m if we purchased Feyenoord Rotterdam outright, players, bricks and mortar.
-
Nobody will highlight a problem of the premier leagues own making. The PL and the champions league are the most celebrated competitions, because they can be bought. Unlike proper competition like the Euros/WC, where we seem happy to fail.
-
Just watched the B'muff match. Not impressed with anything tactically, hopefully RK is waiting until his first team arrives before he teaches them.

Steve, i have never figured out if income from player sales equates to commercial income, can you please set me straight?
