http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/8361602.stm And to think I read just a couple of days ago that George Burley's job was perfectly safe. Even then I thought it was the kiss of death. Apologies if posted earlier Noticed it now on the main forum. At least mine has a link. George Burley/Scotland... Hmm... Nope, can't think of a Saints related link there.

I do understand this male/female vehicle bias, being slightly choosy many years ago about these things. But I have to say that nowadays I don't give the slightest monkey's what car I drive as long as it gets me there and back ultra reliably. And one day it may happen to you. EDIT: Forgot to mention that every time I drive my sister's Toyota Yaris, I always think it's a stonking little car. I'd happily own one.

Finally merged it. Hope everybody is happy.

My only sadness here is that Brawn's name is removed from the team, and it will no longer be a minnow in a large pond. Of course, minnow has a superficial feel, as the car they had this season was the result of Honda actually making the best car they ever did, let alone bequeathed. But all the same, I find it a minor disappointment. It also means that Button has no real emotional ties with the team anymore, because its shape and character will be inevitably altered. If I was him, I'd be off to McLaren like a shot, to form an all-British team with Hamilton. He'll even get an engine behind him with all the same characteristics as this year's model. I assume nobody, McLaren included, will be using Kers in 2010, even though they will still be allowed to..?

Don't think I ever set foot in a pub as a student, I was so snowed under with the work. In truth, students have always been a bit alcohol fuelled. It's almost a rite of passage for them before they enter the world of sobriety. Never known loads of them to be violent though.

Just looking up Norwich City's [our next opponents] progress in League One. Happened to come across this, when looking for clips. Made me laugh. Contains swearing, so NSFW. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpJGlyazcTM

Excellent..! Bloody good cast of actors and set in Avebury too. Had to chuckle at the end though. The person who went to all the bother of ripping the clip, and making the red titles, then suggested that if we wanted to see anymore we should buT the DVD.

Reads like you can't take a joke either.

Enjoyed that. Nice read. Thanks Phil.

Isn't it obvious why they let the away fans out, before the home fans then..?

I ate Braised Ox Cheeks in the Popham Little Chef, for 8.99, and they were f****** magnificent. Which reminds me, that free range boned and rolled pork shoulder, I was talking about, was utterly superb, earlier today.

I thought for the benefit of giving a decent reply I'd look up this Niles Crane. Turns out he's nothing like me. So it isn't me, duh, he's talking about after all. Just deciding whether to take your stupid comment as an insult so that I can make the excuse of giving you an infraction.

That was poor. Over confident, and actually flat-footed too. Apart from the penalty, Lambert was invisible. Lallana got into quite a few positions ahead of Ricky and missed the chances. Brighton came with a clean sheet as far as the players were concerned, and played as such. They believed and showed confidence. Well done to them. There's my positive bit.
-
Wake up call. Don't believe your own Press. I have to say that I was overconfident of a win, and I guess the players were too. The other day I picked up someone for suggesting Brighton would win 2-1. I'm the one who was wrong. Apologies to that member.
-
Brighton may be being put under a lot of pressure, but they're not looking ragged under it. For me, Lambert is not making his presence felt enough either, depsite his penalty.
-
Who on earth are you talking about..?

I remember the first episode of The Double Deckers. Even as a kid I loathed it immediately, because it was British kids, on a mid-atlantic style show, trying to impress in an American way. It even had a US filmic feel about it. Awful, yuck... I almost wish I hadn't seen that bloody clip. Back then I'd happily sit through hours of genuine US programmes, or genuine British programmes, but something that was clearly trying to be what it was not, just made me want to spew. Probably the worst kids programme of all time. Notably, it didn't last, despite all its manufactured hip jollity. I'd rather have watched The Magic Roundabout. Now that was class, in comparison:

Said for effect..? I don't think Brighton are going to do anything other than put 11 players behind the ball, and try to steal a goal on the break. Gus Poyet says he's selecting a team to win. IMO, that's their only chance. If they score, I hope it'll be on-loan Aaron Davies that does it. 3-0 or 4-1

Dare I mention that the whole 1960's series of Robinson Crusoe can be watched on Youtube..? Sample of episode 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vrQhsLZMG0
-
Magical wasn't it..? I love that smaltsy 1960's theme. Just right for the programme. 1960's ITV special agent dramas used to have some exciting theme tunes too, that really got you in the mood to watch, like: Man In A Suitcase The Baron Department S The Prisoner Randall & Hopkirk [Deceased] Danger Man The Champions The Saint [Roger Moore, no the Ian Ogilvy era] Loads more too. Often the themes were a lot better than the shows themselves. They're all on Youtube. EDIT: Here's a sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8QFd185Dbo

2 [ex] Saints players in the top 3. Bit surprised James Beattie isn't in the list as, to my knowledge, he has never missed a penalty. Coached by MLT, of course.
-
Saints V Brighton. That's the only match of interest.
-
You probably have a point there. Over here, many more of us are buying free fange now as far as chickens go, and organic when they are available. But as bungle says, the butcher is almost always the best option. There's also the markets every weekend where there is local meat direct from the farms. Some of it is of excellent quality. Which reminds me.. I have a free range boned and rolled pork shoulder roast in the freezer which I have to get thawed out. Yum..!
-
LOL. I was with you until you cited MacDonald's as an example of quality food at the right time. F*** me, if I had the power to remove every MacDonalds from the surface of the Earth, I'd do it immediately for the good of humanity. :smt082 Sorry Dubai Phil, but really..!

I'm sure she'll be fine. They wouldn't have her there unless she was brilliant.
