There seems to be some confusion over uploading photos to this website. Whilst you can always get a 3rd party to host your photos, there is always this website's own facility. For people who haven't a clue, here's how it goes. When starting a thread/post, use the go advanced option where, underneath the text window, will be additonal options. [see Add-Ops below] You'll notice a button saying Manage Attachments. Click on this and you'll see a window [see Man-Att below] which allows you to browse your own PC, and upload a picture, text, document, etc.. Once you've uploaded the item, preview it using the Preview Post button, and if you're satisfied with it, submit the post. You'll end up with a clickable thumbnail, just like I have to explain this:

I used the website's own facility. Printed the final predictor screen. Cropped it in Paint Shop Pro, and saved it. Then uploaded to the site via the managed attachment facility.

It's not so much that Saints do well, but that there are at least 3 other teams who are going to struggle to put some significant points together for the rest of the season. Anyway, here's mine:

Excellent results for sure, and if this was any other club, and I was a supporter [fat chance] I would be ecstatic. But this is Saints, and I'm not going to be tugged into any false sense of security. I've seen too many false dawns, even when this club was in the top division. We are still in a position to be relegated, and while I support Wotte 100% in his efforts, just like I did with JP, lets get a bit of daylight between us and the bottom 3, and then I'll know if he's the real deal. I won't even wait for the end of the season. Just a few more games will convince me. The one coming up will be a real test, whether Brum are on form or not.

Not forgetting the M23 South turnoff.

I don't think Saints have the luxury of doing the percentages. 9 points out of 9 is suggesting the present system is ticking along rather nicely. Why change it..? Noticed Schneiderlin replaced Lallana last night in the starting XI. Unless Adam was injured, that was obviously tactical. So Wotte is tweaking the team here and there as required.
-
Yes, good point.
-
Agreed. I reckon Notts Forest have learned how to consistently win again, and I don't think Saints will need to overhaul them to survive. Mind you, it wouldn't do us any harm for them to stumble, but I'm not counting on it.

Wish we had time to be a little more generous when we lose. Very nice comments.

The Sun was referring to that, but Campbell was referring to the general abuse he gets. I suspect he's well aware that Spuds supporters will never let him forget he did the unforgiveable thing of moving to the next borough.
-
On the general subject of racial abuse, of course Sol Campbell has a point. But there's no way you are going to get 1000's of supporters to utterly behave for 90+ minutes, and besides, at what point do you police the enough abuse - now we penalise rule..? And if he thinks Tennis, Rugby, Cricket and Athletics are completely free of racial abuse, then he needs to watch those other sports a little more closely. Racial abuse obviously needs to be eliminated. But through education, not policing. And it's a mere fraction of the level it was 30-40 years ago.

Not the most helpful comment there Pancake, I think. As a full member, 1965 could PM SoB with an explanation.

Have you noticed how all those 1960's rollover protection bars were a bit of a joke..?
-
He certainly wouldn't have been my choice, and I audibly groaned in disgust when I heard the news of his appointment as a replacement for JP. But results speak for themselves. He took a few games to get his feet under the table, and since then he has won 3 on the trot. Points cannot be denied. If we lose enough games to be relegated, then perhaps we were right all along, or perhaps it was too steep a hill to climb. But if Wotte manages this club to survival then who can argue against that..? All I would say though is that nobody else, apart from the players who have responded, should bask in any reflected glory. If Saints survive, it will be no thanks to the Board, who have stumbled upon, rather than chosen the possible right man.
-
Indeed. I also understand that David McGoldrick was considered, by independent pundits, Saints best player at Ipswich until he was subbed [obviously for a change in tactic]. Considering that he has been profligate as a lone striker, all season, this change of position has seen him become a new player.

Posters may like to know, or completely ignore, as is their want, that at 9.58pm yesterday [that's the night of the Ipswich game, for those a few days on from here] that there were 793 members on this forum [a record] at the same time. Being as there was a key match on, and that Saints were in the lead at 1-0 at the time, I bet they were all trying to post or read messages, pretty much on the same forum, if not the same thread. Now forgive me for being a bit understanding of technology, but your website is going to slow down in response time with that much activity. As I wrote while in the thick of things... perhaps some of us should go to another website and ease the pressure on this one. Of course, with only a fraction of those left so long after the match, the response time is back to normal. Perhaps posters might note the correlation. BTW, as far as I could see, the website never crashed, but did slow down to almost stop. I got through every time, with patience, though. Oh, I didn't close the slowwww thread, either.

Very good way of looking at things. There's no reason to ignore a genuine positive when it's out there.

Have to say, despite other results, I look at what might have been if the Saints form book had stayed the same. When we were all making our relegation predictions, my bottom 3 were: Norwich Charlton Saints in that order. All the evidence suggested that Saints would not improve and that others were starting to raise their game. After a few games, and not before time, Saints have found some sort of form. I really haven't spotted what they're doing that diffferently to make the difference, apart from the player and formation changes. The defence has firmed up, the strike force has beefened up, and the shots that were going wide, are now going in. It's a fine line, and just shows that doing the right things brings confidence, and hence better play, and further - success. Are we getting out of the woods..? This is Saints, so I'm looking for that fence to sit on. At least I've shifted from definite relegation now.

Presenter said, in a few seconds. Do you believe it..?

Hee-hee. This thread is closed [said with the Poltergeist voice].

For those, from overseas, who may be a bit confused, and are depending upon us for the score, it's 2-0... err 3-0.
-
Norwich scored. QPR 0-1 Norwich.
-
Doncaster score again. What medicine are they taking up there..?
-
Perhaps a few of us should bugger off to another website to ease this one's pressure. You going to go..?
