Knew someone who was a great fan of toolbars. He toolbarred the viewing window area off the screen. Also wondered why the computer was a tad slow. It's because all the junk eventually adds up. But I might have a look at this one. Just a look, mind.

K-PAX Well I don't know what I was doing the last time I watched this film, but whatever it was, it must have distracted me really badly. I gave it the full attention this time, and it's a little better, to say the least. As some people have pointed out to my previous comments, K-PAX is a much better film than I gave it credit for. It's still not utterly brilliant, because it loses its intensity every so often, and intensity is what helps keep it watchable. There is also that little hope one has that Kevin Spacey's character is exactly what he says he is, and as the film progresses, the hope gets bigger and smaller. Is he Prot, or is he Robert Porter, or is he both..? And where did Bess go..? As we've recently got together the unofficial Kevin Spacey appreciation society here, I suppose I ought to give some credit to Jeff Bridges, who acts his head off to keep up with Spacey; and carries it off as well. It's the best I've seen him do for quite some time, IMO. Spacey is totally convincing, as usual, and makes the part entirely his own. You actually wonder who else could play it so well. Imagine if the lead roles were reversed..? All right, K-PAX is a lot better, than I thought. Now go and give Master & Commander the attention it deserves, Ponty.

LOL. Thank you for that. I now have to mop up a mouthful of coffee from this keyboard. It's still working..!

One thing I noticed. Barca were practically gifted their two goals, by pathetic defending, worthy of non-league football. Strange how not one commentator suggested that was the case. No. It was Ibrahimovic being brilliant, of course. He was, but by hell, didn't Arsenal make it easy for him.

Bollix..! I left out the NOT in... but I'm not quite sure... I seem to do that a lot nowadays. My fingers can't keep up with my thinking. That's probably the best way round if I'm going to have any problem at all.

I think you're being a bit generous there, LGTC. Wasn't Ferguson's first season so mediocre that it was thought he might lose his job..? He had to change the culture at ManU, in their particular case, a drinking one. He made 11th place [don't bother, I looked it up] and the next season managed 2nd after splashing out on a fair few leading players of the time, although they already had a perfectly capable squad. Pardew has had to change a losing culture. He appears to be ahead of the game.

LOL. Where did all this take place..?

Forgive me for seeming a bit dim here, Alpine, but I'm quite sure of the point you are making.

After a while, listening to Burley's post match comments, it became clear he didn't see, or didn't admit to seeing, the same match as the fans, either. That may have been relatively unimportant, but when it also became clear that he wasn't taking obvious steps to remedy a situation, the fans began to turn on him. Pardew, on the other hand, pretty much sees the same game, and by and large calls the changes as and when they are needed. For example, [i didn't see it, but it is widely reported] against Hartlepool, Pardew started 4-3-3, which didn't work right from the off. He wanted to change it to 4-4-2 before they scored, but didn't get his message through the team in time. But he saw the danger. Burley would have blundered on until 80mins had passed by. AP's actions only win him respect, rather than losing it.

He probably thought you'd have trouble understanding his Senegalise French. Next time, shake his hand and say Bonjour. Then have a phrase book at the ready.

Is this the even newer article you're looking for..? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8592107.stm NOTE: This article is not the same as the one posted by the OP.

As you say, perhaps someone should do a study. There's plenty of data available.

You may be right, but according to Cortese, Saints are his baby. He wouldn't be a chairman of a football club if Saints hadn't become available for Liebherr to purchase, and I'm not sure he has the same motivation to be a chairman of a football club elsewhere. Besides, I don't feel it's worth anticipating too far into the future while we're thoroughly enjoying the present.

Oh Dear. I'll take these off. Thanks. EDIT: That link was a bloody good read.

Thanks for the Serigne, but it doesn't look like Saliou Mback after it. More like ABBAC... [not Swedish, I'm sure] or something. I'll have a read up of your link. Cheers.

Yeah, and I can't find that thread either.

Someone put me out out my misery, before I burn the JPT Final to DVD and scrutinise the post match celebrations. Just who has Papa Waigo got on his t-shirt..? I can't get enough text into Google to get a reasonable response.

I don't dispute that we get good and bad decisions. My point is that they're not necessarily in equal measure, and not necessarily equal in importance. Something which you didn't answer, I might add. That... luck tends to even itself over a season... phrase is said by pundits who have long since given up the game, and it's a comfortable throw away line. And people believe it as if it was passed down by god on a stone tablet. If it was ever tested I'm very dubious it would actually be true.
