  1. Yea I agree that the "sky is falling" in posters are plain stupid, but everyone has different ways of handling defeat. I can be quite irrational for a spell until I calm down and sober up. Also I think posters, or some of them, just let off steam, while others don't feel the need. I would have taken beating Milan and losing today at the start of the week, so I can't moan, but I still feel this season could be a memorable one had we been more adventurous in the last window and that is frustrating me.
  2. Sorry are we all meant to be pleased?
  3. Said it before but we are a proven goal scorer light and not for the first time this season it has cost us dearly. Never thought we would miss Pelle but we do.
  4. No sign of Gardos in last night's U21 match at Swansea
  5. You are starting to repeat yourself and beginning to sound like the local forum idiot. No offence I know you mean well and are one of life's observers but........
  6. Well who plays with "out and out" strikers these days? I maintain we are struggling up front at present and HCDJFU if needed if Bertrand ousts him from the starting line-up. Versatility and all that?
  7. Do you live in Southampton?
  8. Indeed after he joined us from Burnley it took about 6 months before he found his feet. His game thrives on confidence
  9. Err - he has played upfront for the U21s for the last two seasons solidly. You seem very quick to be the smart arse these days, it does not become you.
  10. I agree, our contempt for them is something that unifies us in times of dullness.
  11. As we are short in the forward dept maybe give him a game up front if Bertrand is full-back?
  12. Too many more worried about their half time pies
  13. If Bertrand comes back maybe give McQueen a go up front - after all he was until this summer a striker
  14. Inter's reaction to the penalty was the worst gamesmanship I have ever seen and the referee's weakness in letting them get away with it was possibly the worst refereeing I have ever witnessed. If that had happened in the Premier League Inter would have been on a charge and the ref banished to beneath Conference level. I felt for Tadic having to wait through all the crap but penalty takers have to have mental strength and I don't think he has enough of that to be a spot kick taker. The win was so sweet because of the injustice at the San Siro and the antics of the Italian players last night but I still think we are a decent striker light. Oh although I am not a fan I thought JWP was magnificent last night..
  15. If that's true then I assume the club will soon be making a reassuring statement?
  16. Trousers will be having orgasims
  17. Why do the Liebherr family "need" investors? Serious question.
  18. That's me f***** then!
  19. I haven't been calling for Sam's recall at all, far from it, he is better off where he is, certainly on a personal level. What I am saying though is we could have used the likes of someone like Sam right now because Olomola is so raw and unready. Barnes and Seagar's injuries have exposed us and that is why I question why you expressed your contentment that all was well in our forward dept. Having seen our forwards struggle in Israel and misfire in Italy I think my worries are understandable.
  20. So having Olomolo on the bench is acceptable? He has barely played a game for the U21s. Not knocking the lad but its very much bare bones and you see nothing wrong?
  21. Good points raised there. Clasie is a worry and Tadic needs to be more central for sure
  22. Prior to the away fixture the prevalent view was Milan were not interested and we would win. Ok not everyone are saying the same now but have see. Quite a few "we should win" comments.
  23. Feel a bit sorry for Martina, we paid a million for him as cover and he is expected to handle the likes of Hazard and Costa. Milan won't be the pushovers everyone are predicting.
