  1. We haven't given him away, he is on loan. Watched him lead the line for Rovers at QPR yesterday and he had a fine game, scoring a nice header and having one cleared off the line. Playing alongside the experienced Danny Graham is doing him no harm and he has settled nicely. Also spoke to the asst manager who said he was v pleased with his progress.
  2. Bit strange KL herself was involved in face to face meetings. Isn't that what lawyers are for?
  3. No sorry was replying to CB Fry who had sarcastically and wrongly made inferences to what I said in a prior post. I am quite happy with our owner but it seems these days the big money in China talks the loudest.
  4. looks like you can't help slipping into ***** mode on a Sunday morning. Why is it you always look for fights? You have a lot to say and can be quite witty but then you can't help belittling or being sarky. You really are a strange one.
  5. Might as well move the Premier League lock stock and barrel to China.
  6. I wrote a letter to Branfoot after he derided the car park protest as "just a bunch of kids" and got a shock a few days later when he rung me up and invited me down for a beer and a chat. Crap manager but good PR skills in evidence
  7. Jeez that's some research
  8. Think it was filmed at the recent Saints Disabled Day event at SMS, hence the celebs. Fair play to Branfoot and fair play to these lads too. Getting of their arses, raising funds for charity and raising the profile of the club and city. What is there to be churlish about!
  9. Certainly not in the good section and if we have injuries at the back we would consider it a bad window
  10. When you look at how Leicester have grasped the mettle this window you can see how they are seriously trying to build on their success whereas I think we have stood still at best and that is if our three big signings adequately replace the three main leavers. So its not disastrous but its not ambitious. Yes we haven't wasted money but money in the bank doesn't win you trophies. This could have been an historic season but I sense one of mundaneness now.
  11. Yes all adequate replacements but you can't argue the squad has been enhanced or improved this summer
  12. Underwhelming, unadventurous , stodgy, unexciting, safe
  13. Trousers happy with Yoshida as main back up , remember that everyone
  14. Out of Europe by then though, we have missed a good opportunity with a comparatively underwhelming window.
  15. Seriously concerned with our lack of defensive cover, I shudder to think what would happen if we lose Virgil. I do feel the club has regressed at a time we should have been pushing on.
  16. I meant we have 6 games at a stage we couldn't even reach last season. To progress in the Europa we needed to enhance our squad and it looks like we haven't done that at this stage. No good having millions in the bank.
  17. We hope you are right but the concensus on here was we should wait until the window shuts before venturing an opinion on the window. My opinion therefore now is Wanyama, Mane and Pelle have been replaced by potentially good players ( I agree with you) but as things stand we would have been stronger had we held onto the 3 departees. And we now have 6 additional Europa games to navigate with a squad not as good and no matter how "hopeful" you are that is a tad disappointing with money in the kitty.
  18. As things stand my view is we have a weaker squad than we had at the end of last season and that is disappointing with our added playing commitments. Not criticising our signings as they all seem young and promising but they do not enhance us when we take into consideration the quality of those who left.
  19. There is a lot of sense in your post but if you compare our three major incomings (all good signings) against our three major outgoings I would say we are a weaker team at present (still 2 days to go). That and the fact we are playing a new system with a new manager has lead to the over the top unrest.
  20. I can't work out this sudden "volte-face" .... yesterday's cameo surely can't have caused it, despite his goal? So there are 3 likely scenarios, either signing his replacement has hit a snag, Jay Rod himself has reconsidered, or Puel has had an epiphany. Either way its a bit hit and miss, this sort of thing should have been sorted before now. Personally I want him to stay, a half fit unconfident JayRod is still a better bet than some preening, stepping stone Johnny Foreigner.
  21. That is one bizarre transfer, would have thought an English club would have stepped in
  22. 'Twas a good goal but he's now scored another and your doubts are unfounded
  23. Just as well your cavalier attitude to Jay Rod departing hasn't clouded your opinion this has been a good window. It has been bloody awful imo!
