Microphone placement most probably played a part but only regarding the home fans - when the final whistle blew their sound was extremely subdued which made no sense considering they had just tonked the league leaders. That doesn't change the fact that Saints away following were excellent and really made themselves heard - especially in the 2nd half when things got ugly. Massive respect to those who went and defended Saints' honour!

What's the difference these days?

We outplayed Boro 3-0 on tv... including THAT 25 pass goal...
-
Tomorrow I'll love you for this post. Today I'm gutted.

The nuns called. They couldn't make it to the match thread today, 'cause they're jamming REM's "Losing My Religion"...

It's a bit wobbly for me - links from here works better: http://www.sportlemon.tv/c-1.html

Nice comeback, Saints fans - doing great!
-
Let's get a goal from this free kick - COYS!
-
The Saints fans are coming through excellently - they really can be proud of their support in a game, where there has been little on the pitch to be happy about.

Right. Got that off my chest. Now for what we can do with the last half hour. We need to regain confidence, work as a team, score a goal or two. That might not help us in this match, but we'll need that confidence going in to the next one. Like the 2nd half against Cardiff set us off on a good run. COYS!

This is a tough one to cope with. Great saves by Davis, Sharp's penalty miss, the absolute non-penalty for Blackpool, Hooiveld's miss and the subsequent Route 1 goal. Managed to snap at my wife because she entered the room as Dobbie was doing his run-up, so things both on and off screen not looking too well. Too many decisions going against us today - ref has been quite shocking

Will be good to get the Hammers - Royals game out of the way to remove the uncertainty about their maximum points. Does't change the fact though that we need to win our games and everything will be just fine

This thread needs bumping. Amongst all the speculation, this is the one thread where I can actually see the maths evolve as every game is played. Tomorrow two of three scenarios will disappear and we will be left with one...

I s'pose you're right. Kudos to those happily saying before the season that we'd be promoted. They of all people have probably enjoyed this season the most I'm firmly in the "we're Saints and until it's mathematically proven that we won't, we'll screw up somehow" camp... just deeply rooted in me... Charlton are 8 points clear of 3rd place with 7 games to go. They have 4 points from their last 4 games and 3rd placed Weds have 10 points from the last 4 games. Still I'd laugh if anyone suggested that Charlton would screw it up - that's the level of inconsistency my mind is working at

As the OP says, we're allowed to dream, but I almost can't bear to look at the threads currently on the front page of the forum: - Does anyone think we wont go up ? - First fixture next season... - Songs for promotion - Penalties if and when we're Champions - If we go up, what away games would you want to go to? - Etc. If I was a Hammers or Royals fan, I'd tick off the "parts of fanbase getting ahead of themselves" box in the evaluation of Saints

The Gambia - Here to brighten up an already sunny day....

Brilliant story and video - thank you! -
Thank you. I haven't yet figured out exactly when each episode comes online. Sometime during the morning after the games?
-
I agree. People should be able to support the team whichever way they prefer as long as they do not bother other fans... (aestetics does not count as hurt )
-
Thanks for sharing. I've been through a similar experience and it just leaves you 100% defenseless against an article as the one about Sharp. Every inch of cynicism has involuntarily been replaced with empathy. I really enjoyed Sharp's two goals today...
-
Great set of results in both ends of the table - well done lads, well done Sharp!!! Tip o' the hat to Brighton for their recent surge up the table...
-
Spare a thought for the Donny fans - usually it's us at the receiving end of the "striker comes back to haunt his former club" syndrome...
-
Check. Then what?
-
Hah! Saints Player fell out just as we scored... did confirm my suspicion that it's not the players fault per se - rather our connections. I was on a very poor connection and lost connection all the time - now I'm on a much stronger connection and I have no problems. Did miss the goal though - so here's a belated YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH
-
It's on Danish tv, so I'm also watching live with Saints Player running on the pc
