  1. It would be even greater if the defenders were wary for 90 minutes
  2. We may have some issues with Brighton and Poyet in particular, but seen from their perspective they have an good manager, a solid team and a spanking new stadium that they fill up quite nicely: http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/attend.html. Compared to Pompey they... ah forget it, everything looks great compared to Pompey...
  3. I know, I know, I can only meekly respond with the old trusty "I only worry because I'm a Saints supporter and we are used to f*cking up" which might have been apt 3 years ago but really should be put to rest now
  4. If you only look at league games, good Sir Nige has been in charge for 83 league games with W51/D17/L15 making it a league win percentage of 61,45 (that's roughly the same as the percentage including cup matches etc. so no conclusions to draw there)... Quite impressive! Pardew managed W24/D15/L10 in his 49 league games, so a respectable 48,98% for him.
  5. I absolutely agree that it is unthinkable - just saying that in case they catch our points total, we would have been playing so badly that they might have caught up on our GD too...
  6. You could say though that in order for West Ham to pick up six more points than us over the next four games their GD could improve drastically in relation to ours. So 7 points to be sure, 6 is most likely enough...
  7. Nice result - back to how it was before Saturday, but with two games less to play. Sweet!
  8. I see WHam are doing their usual batter the keeper routine...
  9. So six player tweets so far all mentioning the great support - massive respect to the 6000 who went and helped the boys claim three vital points today. After Saturday we all needed this, but it was by no means ensured that we'd get it. This is starting to look good...

  12. True - well put
  13. Oh, and we're the first team in the active games in PL and NPC to score more than one goal!
  14. Brilliant!!! I am without audio today so only going by comments in here - hence the delay ...
  15. Let's get some proper journalism on the table
  16. YES - Nice with a goal to forget that... well now I can't remember what it was, we're supposed to forget...
  17. I was in a really foul mood yesterday, but today we need to look forward. The significance of yesterday's derby is yet to be decided - a good point on the way to promotion or the match when our wheels fell off? I know which I'd prefer and I know which the Skates would prefer, so let's stay focused and positive and NOT give them what they want...
  18. Heh, maybe you can give me a course in being a real man? Stuff like killing a chicken with your bare hands, running around naked shouting "My d*ck is the king", driving rally cars in the mud etc. That would be really, really useful for me! I'd appreciate if you gave it thought, but thinking of the bigger picture we should probably wait until you're through puberty - just so noone uses that as a criticism. Call me then - it'll be grand :-)
  19. That didn't work at all for the Fratton Park encounter earlier this season. Result: she stormed out of the house with the kids and I was left in front of the pc. Naughty naughty :-/ Today we're visiting my parents, so I'm hoping they'll look after my kids while I sneak away for a few hours. The game is on Danish tv, so at least I can get quality signal!
  20. 3 wins and a defeat later, all is looking good. We need 5 draws and a loss to mirror our results two seasons ago, but let's try to aim slightly higher... League 09/10 10/11 11/12 Played 46 46 40 Wins 23 28 23 Draws 14 8 9 Losses 9 10 8 F 85 86 72 A 47 38 38 Pts/g 1,80 2,00 1,95 F/g 1,85 1,87 1,80 A/g 1,02 0,83 0,95
  21. I imagine the above said in a situation similar to this
  22. Wait... is that Rudi Skacel and Michael Owen in the background?!
  23. I'm sure the blue few have their fingers webbed that Lambert will not be fit...
