  1. Despite the poor start we have had under still promotion should be the target this season whether that be automatic or play offs otherwise it’s another fuck up on sportts republic with the above in mind is ekhart really the man to deliver this ? It’s a huge gamble imo and fans fickle opinions will be changing on him after each and every result
  2. Depends if it was just a case of he players not playing for still or still being totally shit .. I’m sure a interim manager would probably do better then slot at LiverpooL atm but doesn’t mean it would be the smartest idea
  3. Think sports republic obviously want ekhart else they surely would have just appointed a experienced manager already during the international break . think it’s a bit of a huge overreaction over his four game win streak though when scienza is fit we do have a pretty amazing attack full of pace from everywhere. How much of it is due to ekhart I’m not sure .
  4. Well that was a couple of games ago .. happy to be proven wrong . Don’t think any of us would have chosen Ekhart though
  5. Bet all the people saying he should get the job will be quick to slag off sports republic if it all goes tits. we can’t afford another mistake The beauty of this is we are under no pressure whilst he’s winning to make a decision. as well as he’s doing he’s lucky he’s even getting the oppurtunity so the smart thing to is to make absolute sure before getting to excited and handing him the job
  6. It’s still a small sample size though .. you need to ask yourself the question how will you feel about it making sense if the good form suddenly turns into bad form. Does three results really earn our trust this fast ?. At the moment maybe the smartest thing to do would just be to let him continue as interim, it gives us a chance to trial him before we commit and it’s pretty unlikely some big club are gonna come and steal him away.
  7. Great performance today but my issue with Eckert is that it makes pretty much no sense whatsoever on paper . Whilst he winning it’s all good but any drop in form if we did appoint him then it would quickly go back to looking a silly idea again . Fan confidence will be completely result based with him
  8. Im not saying we should appoint Jones btw but at least Jones has done good jobs (charlton and Luton ) whilst eckart just seems a total punt . Jones wasn’t a good fit at the time and didn’t Manage to turn a already bad premiership side around in a short space of time but maybe it might have panned out differently if he was instead appointed when we appointed Martin . maybe Elkhart will go on to be a good manager in the future but I don’t see why it should be us that gives him the chance. we are big enough at this level to attract actual managers with some type of proven track record
  9. Just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever why they want eckhart what benefit is there in picking a totally inexperienced manager ? We seem to have total obsession with young everything .. how difficult can it be to get someone in who has actually done good jobs at other clubs id even prefer Nathan Jones back
  10. Appointing Elkhart would be last straw for me .. some of the mistakes sports republic keep making are just bewildering and 90 percent of fans would do better .. who would think it’s a good idea to have baz as first choice gk do they not watch us ?? cf position been shit for years yet we fuck that yo again and rely on a broken Ross Stewart .. and now we are about to follow the great form line from gray wigley selles and all the other failures that got promoted like it’s gonna be ok this time 😧
  11. I don’t really get the upside of appointment these young inexperienced managers on the up and I’d have even included rohl in that category it’s not like your gonna make profits out of it it just means the manager is way more unproven and risky then going for someone with a lot of experience
  12. It’s gonna be someone from bundesliga 2 isn’t it ?
  13. Agree with the way we are run there will never be any kind of stability .. we buy players for potential .. young managers with potential and the sporting directors as you say only stay short periods ..
  14. Think we have created enough good chances the last two games to win both games comfortably so it’s not that we are playing particularly bad .. also don’t agree with the argument that fellows should be starting Armstrong provides goal threat from wide and scienza alsio looks dangerous .we are definitely underachieving but I think it will click soon
  15. Nothing against will personally but it’s a cheap excuse to bring last seasons form into it .. majority of the players losing week in week out are not even here anymore
  16. Coukd have also just kept onuachu pretty sure he would have thrived on all these crosses
  17. Not sure he can be excused of blame with the keeper. He was the one raving how good bazunu was pre season and picking him. took him a while to find out what we already knew. Also you would hope the manager would be strong enough to tell the board that both our keepers are shit if that’s the case, there needs to be some communication there not just a he gets what he’s given
  18. Gotta give him a big thumbs up for making the changes, I’d have been getting really fed up with seeing baz tbhb etc come streight back in .it shows the places are up for grabs for the ones who step up and take them which should create a good competition for places in the squad
  19. It’s kinda like Ryan Fraser commenting that he wished we had someone like mcburnie to get on his crosses ..certain strikers can turn a average cross into a good one but we don’t have that at all . It’s not always as simple as so and so hit x amount off assists for his past club so it happens here too
  20. Happy to be wrong on this but I get the feeling fellows could flop pretty bad for us even though it looked a bargain .. for all the assists he had at wba huge amount of them came from crosses which simply just doesn’t suit our strikers , he doesn’t look particularly fast and tricky either .. personally I feel wingers like Robinson scienza or even edozie would be a better fit as they give you more then just crosses
  21. Makes you wonder if there’s been a fallout or something ..Robinson for me has been clearly our most threatening wideman actually looks to beat players and make things happen rather then just knocking in crosses .. or maybe that’s what still wants ?
  22. Bazunu isn’t better then anyone including Tommy forecast and Dexter blackstock when he had to go in goal . At least McCarthy makes saves
  23. Think the most disappointing thing with stilll he was made out to be super analytical tactical genius yet here we are with most of his game plan being get it into the mixer for strikers that don’t suit that kind of service. He talks well in the pressers but not seeing much in games .. anyone that rates baz is also a red flag
  24. Not so sure he was signed to be first choice, seems more in the same bracket as quarshie. As a signing with potential. spors plan of recruiting pace and power doesn’t really seem to have materialised, midfield is one of the places you would want that just yet we sign lightweights there .. and the only signs of it are downs and quarshie who both seem raw 🤨
  25. Quite bizarre really Robinson was our most exciting player in the first few games yet now isn’t getting a look in.. he was actually beating people cutting in getting shots off but still seems to prefer Fraser and fellows just crossing balls into strikers that are not suited to it . I don’t think fellows looks very good at all so far isn’t particularly fast or skillfull and looks lightweight
