KD past fitness test and off to West Ham Surman off to Wolves for £1.5m Wotte says he will stay on but needs committment from club. Suppose to revert to his old role as Acedemy Director tomorrow. Fry expected to make a statement later today. No further developments on take over bids. Not good news I'm afraid.
-
On Radio Solent news at 1pm: Fry no developments since Friday....... Not good for the Swiss then?
-
Not sure if this has been posted but here's the link to MLT on sky: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11700_5404443,00.html

At last! Gr8 point Steve, something everyone else seems to have overlooked. For MLT to be involved and still supporting the bid and voicing his feelings on local TV and Radio there must be money behind the bid, enough to complete the deal and to return to a higher league
-
MLT on Radio Solent yesterday and this am on BBC South stating that the deal will go thro today or tomorrow with the 10 deduction. A couple of other points that needed clarification from FL but 100% confident. MF is one of a few backers.

Not sure if this has been posted before but here is an interview that the Echo had with Lynam yesterday after he meet with players asnd support staff. Interesting comments. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4455346.Lynam_meets_Saints_players_at_Staplewood/

Caught the last few seconds of an interview on Radio Solent at 8:17 this morning. Missed the bit on FL but Tony stated that as far as he was concerned they had exchange contracts paid the deposit and it was a question of when they sign on the dotted line. Also stated that they had paid more than £500K deposit as the Ajax match had to paid for as well. When asked if they would lose their deposit he stated no chance, the deal will go ahead. Anyone hear the full interview?

Norwich Union or whatever they are called now settled at I think £8m on a £38m loan to Ipswichs FC on their stadium a couple of year ago. You have to look at the overall situation. SFC has paid off £10m plus the interest over what 9 years? So they will take a significantly lower figure than the £24m outstanding.
-
Yeah, think you are correct, Nick, it is 6 weeks from the start of the season......
-
You seem to forget the £24m owed on the stadium...........
-
Thanks for clarifying that Nick. But if we have a buyer we will be out of admin, I am sure that HMCR has been paid; Fry would have to make sure that nothing is owed to HMCR; if there is there would need to be an agreement in place with HMCR to clear any outstanding debt when the sale is made - Tax office only let off MP's not football clubs!! Therefore, it is, IMHO, very unlikely that we would have a further 15 points deducted. So £14m is looking a good price for a club with no debt, own ground, training ground etc etc and with the potential to finish in the top 6 next season even with -10 points.
-
Nick, It is only 10 points at the moment and the 10 points oughtl be to subject to an appeal. any furterh penalty is surely subject to the club being liquidated.......

Really do not understand posters. How are the creditors greedy? So if you lent your mate £1000 and a year later he still had not paid would you take £500 and call it quits??? I dont think so. They are owed over £30m. If true and £14m would buy the club, the ground etc etc etc, that would be a bargain. To build a stadium like SMS would cost at least £40m even in todays economic climate. A club owning it's ground, training ground, Jackson farm and free from debt for £14m?? Get real chaps, Fry is there for the creditors and to get the best deal for the creditors. He would have done is homework on any potential bidders and would know what they are worth and what he can push for; only he knows the date at which he must have a deal and at that point the negotiating will really start and any bidder might get a little knocked off. £14m is a great deal to lay out, but let's face it is a cheap for all the facilities and no debt!

MLT on SSN confirmation of Consortium involvment
Ian the Red replied to Griffo's topic in The Saints
We only want someone to come in buy the club and make 100m available over three years adn we'll be back in the prem!!!! Is that really asking too much....... -
1 Souness consortium 2 Charlene de Carvalho Heineken 3 Jersey Businessman, cant remember his name These are the three according to my info.............. Dont care as long as they have £100m to spend over the three/four year s to take us to Champions League football in 2013!!

This was posted on Saintsmad by a burnley supporter... very interesting: Oi Oi Saints......Claret here. Firstly i cant believe all the sh!te been spewed up about what happened after the final whistle so i will put a few of you in the picture. Firstly.......the soft ass needle d!cked t0sser who threw the smoke bomb was in fact a Pompey Twunt. When he threw it towards the idiots on the pitch my mate who was behind him pushed him forward & shouted "are you stupid,we are here to enjoy ourselves you stupid ***T,call yourself a Claret you f'kin d!ck head....To which he turned around with a shocked look on his face and started to unzip his black leather jacket to reveal a Portsmouth top while saying i am not a claret.....As soon as this happened a Burnley fan smacked him full in the face knocking 2 of his teeth out then he was dragged downstairs & thrown @ the feet of a bewildered confused looking steward who was then told "Look @ his f'kin shirt and then ask why"......He was thrown out of the ground (i think cos we never saw him again)........I picked up one of his teeth and put it in my pocket.....I still have it & it is available to any saints fan when i put it on e-Bay .....In my opinion if it wasnt for the pompey puffters hiding behind us clarets in the away end the saints would have protested against the board of directors & notinfront of us burnley fans.....Another pompey fan was leathered by 2 clarets as he was leaving the ground......1 of them was a woman who kicked him in the ****** so it just shows how tough your pompey neighbours are (NOT) when a 6ft supporter gets a kickin from a 50 something aged guy & his smaller wife........ ....... Anyway too all the true fans of Southampton good luck for the future & look out for the Pompey Pussies tooth on e-bay.

Derry, been away so just caught up on the thread. Think you are doing a fantastic job; ignore the negative idiots, unfortunately there seem to be too many on this board. Perhaps you would start a new thread, clearly setting out the proposal and more importantly when and where to pay the pledge if needed. Dont let the doubters get you down!! Thanks for your good work!! COYR's

Widdrington IMO would not be the answer. If he is that good another club would have picked him up by now. He was an average player; but one that played for the club with pride and passion. He would not have the respect of players; he has achieved nothing, either as a player or a manager. All speculation, he will never be a manager here. If someone comes in with dosh they will appoint a proven manager in whatever league we start in next season.

3 -4 to saints ........ never give up saints til I die!!!!!

Well that was what I was told after Saturday's game, they are in together.
-
The rumours I have heard are: Rod Stewart/WGS one interested party Souness/Merrington are one consortium Charlene De Calvalho looks the best bet, she only has 3.2 billion to her name!! A couple 100m wouldn't missed too much!!
