  1. Not a valid excuse!! Get over it and get behind the team!!
  2. So you would rather watch Saints go into administration??
  3. Very disappointing crowd. In fact it was pathetic!! Even Norwich manage to get 23k+ for home games. I find it very annoying that so many decide not to go despite some very good performances. OK the 0-0 was pretty dire, but the other performances warrant the supporters. It is about time some supporters grow up and get over their pathetic view of Lowe and realise that it is the players that need their support. They are young and lack experience so need that extra lift at home matches. So to those that are still not going because of Lowe, grow up and get behind the team!!!
  4. One more positive note: we had a number of injuries and still produced good football and won!!!
  5. Wonderful win, just what was needed. Some interesting comments. Apline being nearly optimistic!! Whatever next!! We look gr8 going forward but for two absolutely wonderful outstanding saves from KD Norwich would have been level. So whilst we have kept a clean sheet again we were a little luckly!! Have it it on good authority that MS has only a slight niggle, nothing to do with the injury. Should have ben 5-0 once the ex skate was sent off!!
  6. Why is it always doom and gloom. We have played 6 league games with only 4 points returned. Not good but there is enough positive signs from performances to suggest that we are not too far from being a half decent team. It is not only the inexperience of teh players but JP has made a couple of odd selections, 2 x 19 year olds in the cente of defence etc. Even last night we looked good at times, did not give up and kept trying to score. The players need support, magnificent singing from the crowd when we were 2-1 down by the way, must have helped the players. So where were the 12k loyal supporters last night??? Th eclub and the players need your support. It is embarassing when Norwich manage 24k last night and we manage 14900!!!
  7. Wait until Apline reads this and he will say it's only until January window opens so taht we can sell him for more!! Good to read and good for the club that the players want to sign on for a long period.
  8. That's what I like about you Apline.... you so positive!! Are you sure you are not a skate?? We will win tonight. The problem we have is that JP is too reliant on youth. We need probably 3 experienced players in out field positions. IMO the mistake on Sunday was very simple, 2x 19 year olds in the heart of the defence. It is not only the players that need to learn quickly but I think JP needs to learn that some experience needs to be added to the team a little more often especially away from home.
  9. You do write some sh%^$e Alpine. Even if Lowe was to sell AL why drop him? It would reduce his value. If Lowe wants money he will maximise his return so If AL is to be sold he will be playing to get more money in teh window. In any case AL will not be leaving unless the bank demand more money. Grow up and try to be positive Alpine......
  10. Another 20k sold this morning, that's 120k in two days??!?!??!!?
  11. Christ there are some negative plonkers reading into a situation what they want to believe. AL is still a Saints player and will remain one unless we are forced to sell by the banks or he puts in a transfer request. RL will not sell for the sake of selling unless the player wants to go. There is no evidence from past experiences that players are sold for the sake of selling. For some to say AL will be gone in January is pointless: he maybe injured, we maybe in with a chance of the play offs…….. who knows. So once again the negativity has returned. Saints refused the bid; that is positive and for now let’s just take pride that we told Fulham where to go and still have AL in our team. FFS cant people see the positive side!!!
  12. Its simple, 12:45 KO, worst tme to KO not enough time to do anything before the game and not enough time to do anything else after. Loads of fans would have stayed away for this simple reason, add the cost and that fact that they could watch it on sky, do the gardening or a bit of DIY before and after and you have the reason why 5k stayed away. When we put together a decent run we will have 22/25k back again..... COYR
  13. Excellent commments from LSG, WT & others. But I really do believe too much has been read into the defeat. It was simply a fact that some players were too tired, Gillet, Spiderman in particular and perhaps we were a little over confident. In a way it is not a bad thing to lose providing the players and JP learn the lesson. It will be interesting to see JP's selections for the 6 games in 17 days: 14th Sept to 30th Sept??? He will need to juggle the players and certainly use more of the older players. It is the next 6 games that will make or break our season. I'm going for 4 wins and 2 draws...... I have no doubts!! COYR
  14. Its also about seeing the space and using it. Playing in triangles is but one point, having the energy and ability to see and utilise that space is another. Lallana, Spiderman & Gillet all have that vision, so to does Surman. That is what BWP and dyer lack, vision, all they have is pace and no idea what to do!!
  15. Not sure that we are using man marking, certainly not in teh games I've seen this season. I think JP was the "hardman" for the dutch, certainly if he was man marking he would have mixed it a bit. Like you, I think JP is fantastic, he preaches how football should be played
  16. Yeah I remember that as well; BBC had the piano on the radio and wasn't Messa Dorma by Pavirotti for teh TV?? Can remember Bobby Charlton shouting "its in, its in" when Gemmill scored on the tv. Thats when we were a United Kingdom, there's no way any Englishman would cheer the Scots now!!!
  17. Well its a lot further than Chandlers Ford!! Yeast intolerant thats a pain, just drink vodka instead!
  18. Englesaint: However, is it not true that the answer to the question "With whom did Kevin Keegan score the most goals in a season" . . . is not Liverpool, Newcastle or Bayern Munich . . . but actually the Saints? Worth considering ? Next to one Steve Moran help KK maybe???
  19. Trader, I have no doubts we will succeed this season. I am firm beliver in playing the game the way it should be, foot ball, means foot to ball and ball to foot, ie the passing game, exactly what we are doing at the moment!! I have coached a team from U10 to U18 and tactics were simple: pass, use the width of teh pitch and move into space to receive the return. JP has the balls to coach a passing game in this league and he will succeed as the teams simply do not how to play against passing and quick movement. COYR
  20. gr8 to see such support, must be a pain travelling to SMS, not being able to have two many pints and then drive back. respect to you!!
  21. BT but after STEVE MORAN IMO
  22. It is strange that we paid out for Spiderman, 1.5m euros???
  23. Will never forgot that goal, in injury time and Steve Moran thumped the ball into the net magic moment!!!
  24. 4 wins and 2 draws, no worries Blackpool, QPR, Barnsley and Norwich all wins Ipswich and Doncaster draws
  25. It has to be Redcrapp, he is a total arse
