  1. I think there are various reasons: location is a big one and depends on how far you move, but transport is expensive. I had a season, moved (well!) away and renewed 7 years later. I renewed this year too - on the morning Pocchettino's move was announced - but any hesitation was more due to the cost and the last minute changes to K.O. times. Fortunately I've got a short summer contract that will help pay for it as the credit card bill dropped on the mat just this morning. It's bad for customer loyalty if they do reduce the price later, as no one will renew early next year. Basically deflation will set in and everyone will defer their purchases.
  2. Well Leicestersaint: still plenty of time to get the extension built before the hordes arrive in May. S'ok, I'll make do with a tent in the garden.. :-)
  3. I read it: him and Osvaldo could be fun..
  4. "Not even the glorious Sunday afternoon rays could pierce the black mood smothering the city flinching below." That's a Rallyboy parody, surely?
  5. Perhaps it was DP's other half, or three-eighths, or 7/16ths?
  6. That's a bit of a long drive, hope your car is more comfortable than mine! I can't imagine the roads past Austria are particularly good. A quick PS: I've just seen Turkish's post above. I really must remember to log on before viewing the forum on my pc! And it does matter what you say, when you say it and how you say it. There's just no need for what he does and I have every right to call him out on it.
  7. Yet again posting immediately after me. Now it could be that he's posting more details about Amalfi (haven't been there since about 1962.. :-) ) , but as Buctootim said, all a bit "stalkery". I really think he is an unpleasant and offensive ****, and although I'd never ask mods to protect me I would ask people to make their own minds up about his behaviour. PS: Sorry OP, hope you have a great holiday wherever you go, but I will stand up for myself.
  8. It's been mentioned elsewhere on here that he has 'form'..
  9. Shame you quoted him as I do still have him on ignore, but it does at least confirm my suspicions.:-) Cider-drinking, dungarees and the rest? Sounds like homophobic bullying to me (as well as inaccurate), and attempting to shut me up and stop commenting on a subject I might know something about. Accusing me of being self-important; well, at least it made me laugh..
  10. Oooh, one of my posts followed by two from Turkish:I'm never quite sure if it's a coincidence, but just like the old days... Anyway, let us know where you decide, and this forum always seems to have some well-informed people on it to give more detail.
  11. I shall exchange mine for a couple of pints down the sailing club: an even better idea..
  12. Well... it is almost full moooooon!
  13. Well, you seem to be, but you do like a good wallow in misery.
  14. Well, I'm just going to bed, and I've had worse dreams... :-)
  15. Well, my bias is obviously towards Italy and although I haven't been to Rome for years I grew up there. The coach to school every day was like a tour of the monuments. But stay in the middle and you can just walk and walk and see something at every corner. Torino is a bit nearer and might be worth considering, although again I'm biaised as I have a friend who lives there and lived an hour or so away. But it's another place to walk around, coach trips to the surrounding towns (Alba,Asti if you like your wines..), and the Alps in view in the distance..
  16. Dunno, but does anyone else think grass might be regularly involved in Rallyboy's flights of fancy?! ;-)
  17. The literate one..
  18. Ch***t! Are Dubai taxi drivers that well informed? I thought they only knew about golfers, or am I getting confused? Aldi Old Vine Garnacha to blame...
  19. Perhaps there's a connection: new era of more responsible lending, and all that?. I understand that the lenders these days look at all your spending habits...
  20. I thought you were joking.... until I checked. Isn't a shame we don't even have make stuff up!
  21. It's OK, I think nits count: so Ipswich on loan...
  22. Can you boys take your argument to PM please? Nobody else is interested in playground name calling. Thanks.
  23. According to this article he was released from Chelsea when he was 8! http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/23/luke-shaw-world-cup-england-southampton-brazil
  24. Well, at least we know what gets through the prudish censor! Mablethorpe is OK but S****horpe isn't; it must be a real pain if you live in the latter town.
  25. Why not? It may not happen, but if there's one thing we've learnt in our climb from League 1, it's that players do improve given time, experience and opportunity. Midfield is a difficult place to play, and he may have a slow to mature physique: he's certainly strengthened over the past year.
