  1. Funnily enough they'd have been better off smoking it... I was working in Portsmouth for a charity when the cleaners found half a dozen or so cannabis resin 8-bars ("what's this?") in some washing powder that had been donated by our dear customs and excise.. They obviously hadn't found all the consignment! Not being a smoker it didn't bother me, but I reckon some of my colleagues were upset not to find it!
  2. I can't think who you can possibly be thinking of...
  3. Presumably he was using that well known horse tranquiliser Ketamine?
  4. Lost 5-1 in the dutch cup final to PEC Zwolle. No, I hadn't heard of them either. One current regulation I agree with is the limitation in squad sizes, so that the large teams can't hoard players and deny them to other teams. Perhaps tightening up on the loan rules might help too.. How many is it that Chelsea have out on loan??
  5. There are times when Rule 1 should not apply..
  6. You do like your rhetorical questions, don't you, rallyboy? :-)
  7. Not sure we'd "decided", but it's obviously been a needed kick up the pants.
  8. Got my letter just now and won't spend any time investigating it: as Dark Munster says, my loss is a lot less than any Pompey fan's. It was a bit of 'take a punt' money and gave me the opportunity to go to AGMs. I'm binning mine: thank Christ Glasgow wasn't a shareholder or we'd have three or four new threads on the matter...
  9. An inviduous choice... so I don't make one.
  10. Deary me...and there I was wondering if it were yet safe to come on here. We lacked penetration, and our lack of depth was telling, but not a surprise to either us or the club, I would imagine. I do think the midfielders should chip in with a few more goals and I did notice quite a number of times Morgan carrying on his runs forward into the box, but when are we going to get a long range screamer or two to punish those teams that sit back against us. Mind you, I feel the same about our full backs: they've certainly all got the ability to score. If we'd have got 1 yesterday we'd have got 3 or more: I couldn't see Cardiff then scoring without leaving themselves vulnerable to our attacks. So s**t happened, but I'm not going to go into meltdown and let it completely ruin my weekend.
  11. Oooh, cheapskate! ;-) You know you'll miss out when it all gets exciting again.. I only booted the laptop as I wanted some internet advice on a DIY job I'm doing.... Oh, hello people!
  12. Football debts eh? What business are they in then? What I noted was money "to help with ground improvements". I thought that was just to get a safety certificate..
  13. Oh Christ, I came on here for a pre-bedtime wind down. Think I'll go back to my job application form.. It's not the fact that negative developments are possible this summer (so are positive ones), but don't the spirits just sink when you see - to no great surprise - exactly who is posting the negative scenario. "And I dont think I am being negative." Oh, if only he could see himself from others' perspective...
  14. I'm not sure it has anything to do with reciprocity but a league rule that you can't charge away supporters more for the equivalent seats than you charge home fans.
  15. I find for Waterside saint. Case dismissed...
  16. ********. Offside, needless penalty and a very good cross and finish. If Gazzanigga hadn't gone for it you'd all be moaning, as he'd have had no chance stuck on his line. We've played well but MC are showing what a bit of money brings.. hardly any English players.....
  17. Apparently we have different practice pitches to simulate the size/type/length of grass of our rivals. It's the first time they've had to plough one though...
  18. They're in Makaton...

Thanks for the report. Sounded as if there were at least a few there: a mixture of the retired and unemployed, I presume?

    Harry Reed

I think I've seen him before in snippets of games on the OS, but from my vague memories he really seems to have filled out and bulked up.
  21. I wonder if the Villa forum are going: "if he's not good enough for Southampton....". It does seem their is general agreement on Neil Benson, from those who have met him; rare agreement for this board..
  22. I think I was on that reincarnation of internet Saints, or was it a later one? Anyway, I still have a "Let's Go To The Dell" T-shirt if that's any guide..
  23. Cheers. Mostly disappointing results, and condolences to The9, but quite a spring in my step on the way home too: a great afternoon at st marys. We're going to brazil... they're going to Northampton...
  24. Yep, that was our general opinion down the pub afterwards. I may have another pint when I get off this train to celebrate a great performance! Still buzzing.
  25. I've had a quick look on here and had my morning laugh, got some air into my lungs and it's now off to the station and on to the pub with a spring in my step and a smile on my face. PTS nutjobs everywhere, thanks...
