Kewl! Looks OK so far on FF30.0.. Had to specify the domain for pop-ups, so if I get any nasties...!;-)
-
Perhaps they'll sign David Luiz...
-
Ta for that. At least we don't have to pay him if he doesn't fulfill his contract. What a waste of a talent.
-
Ooh, get you! Are you saying that all Saints supporters are poor? On a more serious note, I don't think HNW individuals like being cold called anymore (probably less) than us poor oiks.
-
Thanks for that. Actually it might be interesting to do an implementation of both, as a comparison, and to highlight stress patterns and weak and strong syllables etc.. I'll try and get a few up before the British Council inspection... :-)

I'd forgotten that Osvaldo is still on our books. Have I missed any news on him: have we crystalized our losses yet?!

Ta! The start of summer school is a bit hectic (25 contact + paperwork aaargh!) but I'll take a look in a week or so.

Dusan Tadic - DONE DEAL, official and everything

Well, there are some grounds for satisfaction then! It's a pity Portsmouth aren't worth bothering about any more, but West Ham will do. I'd prefer Spurs though: hope springs eternal.. -
I saw the title of the thread (only just noticed..) and thought: "You never have a couple of guinea pigs - only one or many..". Then I thought 'Oh crikey, it's the muppet show, gaffer tape will be involved'... In fact, although I don't use twitter I thought this a clever idea, the thread made me laugh and it's a very good way of representing information. Is the graphic software available separately: I can see possibilities for English language teaching?

Is that a typo for anomalously? Seems an appropriate word!

Has this been published on the board; sorry if I've missed it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28172460 Bo***cks.

State of the forum thread: Endless random negative musing threads

They are indeed, but boring us to death is a bit unacceptable. -
Yes, these new fangled mobile phones mean you can always be in contact with the office.. Actually started a new (temporary) contract last Thursday and I _didn't_ give them my mobile number..

The impression I had was that he stopped performing for us because he wanted to leave: not so much a strike as a go slow or work to rule. Difficult to prove in football...
-
Possibly (my point above) because he is still growing? He still looks awfully young in those photos upthread and muscle needs to wait until the frame is ready or problems will occur down the line. Dunno to be honest, but a bit of strength would certainly help.
-
I'd also add that he may not yet have reached his full adult strength. Part of why Shaw, and to an extent Chambers have been successful is that they seem to have filled out earlier. I'm sure the club are aware if this is an issue, and perhaps we'll gradually see him upping the number of games he plays. Remember how he robbed Gerrard a couple of times in the game last season: this may be more a reflection on Gerrard!, but certainly there's still potential to fulfill. Midfield is a difficult place to impress in as a youngster.

De nada! I did look on youtube but didn't find that. Keep on meaning to learn it myself - for unaccompanied singing. I'm not a monarchist or believe in god, but I'll sing the national anthem, just as I might sing a border ballad about incest and murder or a hunting song without believing in any of those activities! It would be nice to have a better alternative though.

It's the sort of thing a Sunday team might do as a laugh, with a bit of banter over a drink, to raise a few quid for club funds. But they're serious!
-
My biggest issue was why were we without the ball so much? Much of the passing was dire and pedestrian, and equally important, the movement of the receiving players was poor. Now we're out let's hope for a few changes for the final match.

Written by Vic Gammon of Sussex as sung by Pete Coe on his album 'Long Company'. It's even better sung.

Now Charles II had eleven bastard children And George III went mad And Edward VII they thought was Jack the Ripper But Richard III weren't as bad as Shakespeare thought he was Victoria lay back and thought of England Charles I lost his head Well the best thing about those Kings and Queens of England Is that most of them are dead. Singing Rule Britannia Britannia waives the rules Kings, Queens, Jacks and Knaves and tyrants Cheats and fools. Now William III was a protestant and Dutchman And James I was a Scot And George I spoke nothing else but German What a mixed-up, inter-bred lot. And William I was a grasping Norman bastard Believe me, it's no lie. Well there hasn't been an English king of England Since Harold got one in the eye. Chorus Now she was a well-heeled blue-blood Cinderella, Him Prince Charming with big ears, But he has a thing going with the ugly sister So it ended all in tears. So arise now ye ghosts of old Oliver Cromwell, Brave Harrison and Tom Paine. Won't you rid our land of this monstrous carbuncle And bring sunshine after the reign.

They seem to buy them and loan them out for a season..
-
Even more so than usual, I'd say. I'd agree with Red above that Johnson played well though...

Just in from a social club, and thank gawd for the anaesthetic properties of Summer Lightening. Where to start? We were dire, in every phase of the game. Appalling defence, marking and tackling; absolutely dire passing, and where was the movement? As for speed of thought.. was there any anticipation from the player receiving the ball. The only decent player from Liverpool's contingent played for them. I _will_ watch the Costa Rica game, but I think I'll really look forward to seeing my club side next season, and I so, so hope we win the first match of the season...

Does not Farmery realise that Porta Portese is a flea market where any old tat goes?
