  1. Never stopped me... Are there separate changing rooms for women? :-)
  2. I'n now waiting for Abdul Abulbul Amir.. or even Ivan Skavinsky Skivar (preferably in the navy version..)
  3. I assumed it was you, Bearsy...
  4. When historically you have called other people all sorts of names (Gashton, loser and dullard from this thread alone..), is it any wonder you get a bit of stick? Unfortunately somebody quoted my stalker who has also had a pop: he'll stick up for you..

  6. Christ, finally you find something to moan about and, no surprise, it's Ramirez who, you so helpfully point out, is Uruguayan. So how is our favourite mountain fattie getting on? In the pub today somebody I didn't know commented on my (linen) trousers which "hadn't seen an iron". I forebore to mention his shirt which seemed to be 2 sizes too small and was being ironed by his gut. I'll have to remember that comment for next time. In the meantime I'm getting increasingly p****d off with the negative and critical w*****s of this world, and I think I'm getting old enough to say so.

  8. Back from the pub: it's sometimes hard not havng a telly! :-) Anyway, haven't read the thread but was wondering how the bed-wetters were getting on? Way to go but I'd say it wasn't all doom and gloom and in the pub I was holding my head just like Davis.. I'll go back and have a look at a few comments, but in my opinion hasn't JWP stepped up a notch? Tadic looks a real asset, Wanyama is improving all the time, and Morgan? Professionalism incarnate.

  10. Another Observer article just published here: http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/aug/16/ronald-koeman-bright-future-southampton-transfers
  11. Just been reading a report about Man Utd's defeat to Swansea: I know we worry about integrating the new players into our team but Utd had only one player today who played in last year's opener, one Phil Jones...
  12. Hop Back Brewery. After 6 pints of Summer Lightening everybody looks fit..
  13. There are absolutely no Romanian students at this summer school, so I can't help either.. No Dutch for that matter. Do we need any Spanish or Japanese players researched?
  14. Incidentally, I thought it was great to see so many kids there, a large proportion with replica shirts on. It shows that lower priced tickets could help maintain our fanbase, instead of us all popping our clogs in the same decade leaving loads of empty seats. My mate with the kid behind him kicking his seat may disagree (but he enjoys playing the old curmudgeon).
  15. Without going into detail I thought there was no player oput there who looked completely out of his depth, and given I go back to Lee Todd, Ali Dia and before, that's a good sign.. Unlike the previous friendlies Leverkusen were no easy touch and made the game a good competition. We missed Morgan(with 'is head) and Rodrigues, and I noted Gallagher wasn't even on the bench, so I presume an injury. There were occasional lacks of understanding, but you can understand why and see the potential. Losing a friendly to an own goal is not the end of the world and I'm sure Ronnie learnt from the experience. Slightly more cheerful than I was before
  16. I think you should ask CB Fry and Turkish, they seem to be more regular users of the term.
  17. It wouldn't have been too bad arriving early: wander down The Junction and let the kids play in the garden..
  18. As I normally get the train to Saints matches from the Brighton direction I often come across Pompey fans on the way home after their matches in Bath or Forest Green or whatever obscure place they've been to. For some reason they always seem fatter than the equivalent Saints fans I see on the train on the way to St. Marys. Maybe it's the cans of lager..
  19. Rah! I shall be there; unfortunately I'll have to meet my friends in the pub beforehand to pick up my ticket, but we all have to make sacrifices.. Could be a good walk up with the weather looking set fair: it makes a big difference to the atmosphere having a decent crowd, and put's Brighton's to shame.
  20. You may be skint, but at least you have a basic understanding of business: not sure everybody here does!
  21. It's not effing rocket science, is it? Apart from Lambert, who had sentimental reasons, the others are patently obvious. Mourinho complaining that Shaw wanted too much in wages: Chelsea have money but if any club is more desperate than us it's Man U! I reckon the main disappointment is Chambers, as I suspect he'll be pulled back by the paralysing affects of Arsenal's bench. My own biggest criticism is not lining up incoming before outgoing, but it obviously takes more persuading to get players to come to us. My dearest wish now is to have a half decent season: beating Liverpool and Spurs would help tremendously and it would be so satisfying to wave goodbye to Pochettino.. We can but dream..
  22. The best summary I've seen...
  23. Not being a betting lass I'm still tempted to put a fiver on P being relegated this season. Thoughts anyone? The cost of 2 guest pints down my sailing club could pay for a city break or a dirty weekend (if I'm lucky) in Brighton..
  24. Good.
  25. It's alright: I'm over 18. ;-)
