Dunno, I'd say we had some of the best moaners in the business.
-
I don't think so, but that's without checking. Thinks it stops at Swanwick.

Ho hum. That was a bit like watching football down the local playing fields where the taller, stronger and more experienced team wins, often with a big hoof to take advantage of the wind; but you don't expect it to be your own tallest player to make such a hash. First half was OK but the collapse was embarrassing, and we need to be far stronger in midfield. Let's hope PEH's illness is just a short term one as he didn't look right when he came on. Maybe Yoshida in defence and Danso can push forward a bit? There do seem to be a few on here who enjoy a good gloom fest, mainly so they can point the finger at all the optimists and say I told you so. Personally I stand at the middle of the see-saw, that way I don't go up and down so far.. Definitely a learning experience though.

Or how many training sessions. FWIW I'm mildly surprised, but unlike with Hughes or Pellegrino I have more confidence in RH's choices. Wouldn't mind seeing our tall defenders eventually getting a goal from a dead ball situation; they've been decidedly lacking the last few years.

You haven't a clue, have you?!;-)
-
Well, the media guys obviously don't get up early like us retired types.;-) Nothing on the OS yet.. Besides his height I think his importance for us will be his pace, which we don't have much of in our defence.

What was Cabbage banned for? Apart from being a plonker and PITA?
-
I'm back. :-(
-
I'm off to the OS.
-
Trying's the word. Very.
-
Off for a second bottle, dammit. No further comment, it just gets imaginations working overtime..

S*d the pot of tea, I've opened a beer. Gawd knows what Ohio Saint is doing, I'd probably rather not know..
-
Pace again! A bit raw perhaps but it does sound like a Ralph sort of signing if true.
-
Just to let you know that didn't go unnoticed..
-
I'm going to have to brew another pot of tea.. In the circumstances I'd prefer a beer but trying to be good..

Shirts finally arrived or Austin finally departed?
-
Yeah, I think I've given up on incomings!
-
Unlikely _today_. There is not the same urgency, surely you can understand that?
-
Actually very few of the first teamers went. As for the rest of your ramblings, whatever elements of truth may arise amongst your conjectures, to say that anybody who doesn't agree with your analysis is naive or a deluded optimist is patronising in the extreme. I'm sure many of us have concerns but your post hasn't contributed much to the debate.

Apart from repeating the part about Slattery being involved in pre-season matches.

They've got as far as saints: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/07/premier-league-201920-preview-no-16-southampton

Oh good. Thank you..

Well, at least the game won't impact their league position. You might have told us it's the EFL cup; I had to check!

I'd agree with this, and with Angelman's comment that he knows he wasn't good enough. It struck me he looked miserable because he wasn't contributing and struggled to do so. Not sure what the answer is, but having not seen him in any pre-season games or noticed him in any training photographs he must definitely be on his way. At least he will understand the reason for being moved on, unlike Charlie Austin, who doesn't. Having seen Che Adams in action underlined how little the latter contributed last season.

Presumably Benoit B?
