smokescreen for Brereton Díaz? I do hope so.
-
sure it's been posted before but obligitary vid link (fast, powerful, wins a lot of free kicks for JWP to put into top bins)

probably this lad: https://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/southampton-jump-ahead-of-chelsea-in-battle-for-angers-superkid-mohamed-ali-cho-4397607

Too old, I know. Can still play a bit tho
-
I suppose I was thinking that the statement we would be making is that there is a future at Saints for those who are on the periphery at the big six - young, talented, affordable. But yes, i get you on the Eriksen thing, although that would be a statement more along 'risky' albeit with undoubted quality. Do we want to go back to crocked or flawed heroes?
-
I'd say the statement signing would probably be Broja permanent but did wonder for a split second about Coutinho. Can't be, can it? Eriksen would be interesting but not sure that's quite the statement - bit risky? Perhaps it is a leader of a CB. Dunk? (nah, wouldn't leave) Ake? Or a keeper we can all like...?

I wonder who the other clubs in the empire may be and whether movement of players between them will be (legally) easier. also the ex Brentford Dane is a fan of Moneyball type signings, says Alex Crook on TalkSPORT, but that is more about unlikely players fitting a team scenario than just selling on players for high fees (as he put it), no?
-
Have to say, whenever I hear Semmens talk I am very reassured. Seems very bright and sensible.
-
Ralph has experience of working at a Red Bull type club, says Blackmore. Interesting on the emerging franchise...
-
Not suggesting that, but being 4 points closer to relegation would probably cause the bean counters to count the beans a little more closely given loss of revenue from that calamity
-
Interesting timing re the 4 recent points giving us more assuredness on safety and transfer window opening. Wonder if it would have happened if we had lost both games
-
That Brentford guy sure likes his red and white stripes. Guess Sunderland are next in the group?

crikey - Simon Peach retweeted Revealed: The Premier League club Southampton FC is close to being sold to Dragan Solak, a Serbian-born businessman behind cable-TV operator United Group, according to my sources. understand he is paying about £100m to buy the Saints from Gao Jisheng, who took control in 2017.

Yes, true, they may lodge a complaint with the league that their latest transfers haven't quite come through yet so could they postpone, ta
-
their next games are watford, leeds and Everton so there's 9 of them right there 😉
-
They will survive comfortably, not least with the league in their 'pay'
-
Have to say this is indeed very sad news. But, at least, Sam had some amazing memories playing football for the club we all love. That is pretty priceless. Good luck.
-
Seriously, if we actually consider selling Romeu then we absolutely deserve to go down. He’s just about the only one who knows how to keep the ball
-
I bet it’s eye-watering amounts of money
-
I see they may have their first money grabbing mercenaries playing for them when we face them - Trippier. Will be a few more I suspect. Will basically buy safety.
-
Money talks, part one. Postponed fixture should not be allowed to feature any players not on their books right now. That would be fair. You can bet your bottom dollar premier league won’t enforce that
-
Fraser Forster made 10 saves in @SouthamptonFC's 1-1 draw with Tottenham, a record in a Premier League match this season
-
Increase franchise and swap/easily transfer players between clubs it owns? Or is that very illegal?
