Interesting and commendable that we have identified lack of muscle in our spine in this pursuit of Mangala and Salisu. We missed some bit and protection of the back line when Wanyama went and for all of Hoj's downsides he did break up play well on occasion.

Frankly think we're lucky they're not in for Ings to replace Kane, tbh. That would be far more damaging than losing Hoj, who is quite overrated in my opinion.

I think it's a weird one and doesn't quite fit the way they play or their age profile. Way past his best, probably still thinks he's a bit above all this south coast stuff, and possibly just to gloss over imminent player sales. Definitely wouldn't want him at St Mary's either. Most odd.

Pretty much spot on assessment. One of the most boring footballers out there, and doesn't even fulfil the 'keeping the ball well' thing. Enduring memory from a game where in an attack down the left he turned and booted it fully 40 yards back to our keeper. Sums him up. Also now leaving a Lallana-esque bad feeling in the mouth. He'll be a big flop at Spurs
