Absolutely shit. Awful keeping. Awful finishing. Awful game management. So bad. But we fluke it I hope
-
Please someone buy him. The most overrated player in saints history. Loses the ball too often. Slows us down. Can’t finish. Woeful. Redmond to City please. Pep seems to like him.
-
Redmond is so gash. Absolutely awful.
-
We have to ship out vestergaard, Hoj, and Redmond
-
Redmond is so wasteful. Infuriating.
-
Dire. Really awful at pens at the moment
-
Is he good at chips?

Keep the same team, play the same way. They will be bang up for it and Trossard is a particular threat. Not an easy game. We need to be right mentally. 1-1 I reckon.
-
My bad dream was Mourinho getting the push and Levy coming in for him
-
Immense performance. Great football. Proud of the team.
-
Stifle/upset Pogba would be my game plan. Stick Oriel or JWP on him (assuming the latter replicates his sneaky tactics employed against Wilf Zaha as their playmaker). That cuts off supply. Then hope that the ref doesn't give utterly ludicrous penalties to them, like they got last time out... However, big ask. Cannot see us not conceding. 3-1.

That sponsor logo really does ruin them though, right?
-
Every year the amateur kit mock ups excite me and the real thing is a disappointment. This year is no exception. Very underwhelmed. Can't someone just do some good looking stripes?
-
PS wonder if we had held on if the crowd had been there, transmitting their apprehension to the players? Will never know, but maybe the players preferred it without them yesterday

Fantastic result and performance showing real team spirit and togetherness. This is the team I'd like to see. No Valery (not good enough/liability), Hojberg (mind elsewhere), or Obafemi (so overrated), and they gelled nicely. CBs magnificent. Please sign Walker Phillips, Ings workrate extraordinary, Che - so happy he's silencing the naysayers, Ward Prowse a huge influence, Redders the only one I thought was a bit wasteful, Armstrong so key with his energy, McCarthy some incredible stops (heart still in mouth when he has it at his feet tho!) All in all, a superb performance that made me very proud to be a Saints fan. Well done Ralph (though maybe use a few subs as tactical game-slow-downs, mate) and all the team. Onwards and upwards...
-
Really don't see what Obafemi offers, beyond lolloping around. Poor in the air. Poor distribution. Poor finishing (except once). Doesn't put himself about. Adams is twice the player.
-
If he starts Valery we'll know he's bats. Same for Obafemi for me. Personally wouldn't start Hojberg either - Smallbone deserves another chance to get valuable experience against the best.
-
Unexpected, albeit we lucked out with them having the Covid ban on three players. Great result. Totally safe. Brilliant job by Ralph and the club. Smallbone looks a great prospect. Sell Hojberg and invest in another CB and possibly keeper. Very happy.
-
I fear we may be disappointed again. Troy Deeney outmuscling us. Us being lethargic and complacent (nothing much to play for disease even though not yet safe). Them being up for it. Still, we're better when we are not at our cursed home

Sorry but Valery was really not very good (is not very good) against Norwich and should not have started. Destabilised the back four. McCarthy's distribution has always been Division One and that was Conference, frankly. Obafemi does absolutely nothing but lollop around with his chest out giving the big I am without giving anything to the team. Hojberg continues to play like he really believes he should be playing for Spurs if only he could get better at this playing football/passing accurately lark. Too many long balls easily cleared. Not enough attacking the man and forcing things (ooh, it was hot), and generally idealess in the final third. That said, had good patches, without really offering anything. Always very frail at the back and looked like conceding, and not enough quality interplay between midfield and attack. Ralph picked the wrong team, they made mistakes, we weren't very good, and we will doubtless give our fans another coronary as we leave it very late to scrape that last three points. One day we will not do this. But I suspect I may not be alive to see it. Roll on getting outmuscled by Troy Deeney in the next one. Boo

Me too. They are really not as bad as some paint them, and are definitely a handful going forward. I would personally take a draw.
-
Good result but we were pretty off the pace for the first 20 minutes. They were by far the better side and we could barely string a pass together. Thought Obafemi was poor throughout I'm afraid. Defence looked okay centrally, less so down the flanks. Armstrong's finesse was great. Ings was excellent. Not sure Hojberg will walk into Spurs' midfield. Good three points though and great to be almost safe.
-
Really nervous now. They will be bang up for it and we have a history of being complacent in such fixtures. Anything but a loss please
-
Bit nervous about this game as I really hope we don't have our 'expect to win against lowly club' heads on. Win here and we're almost home and hosed. Suspect also by the by that this system of many games in not long will favour those big clubs (not Norwich) who are able to call on strong, deep squads. Ours is pretty thin, to be honest. Then again, i think us not playing at home in front of our fans might actually help - we've been good away so hope that continues but no crowds may be a leveller there. The transition to not having Hojberg as skipper will need managing - is Ward Prowse vocal enough? Do we have too many eyeing moves away? Really hope we can start with a win
